Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are now final! This could actually be a tough week for fantasy managers. A lot of the usual, ‘obvious’ candidates are away from home and even those that aren’t have difficult games on paper. Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all on the road while Swansea and Man City are at home but are by no means guaranteed anything, facing Southampton and Chelsea respectively. QPR and Stoke kick us off at 12.45pm in the early Saturday game and even that ones hard to call given the inconsistencies of both. We then have five 3pm kick offs and the day is rounded off as West ham host Liverpool in the evening game at 5.30pm. Sunday sees Leicester vs Man Utd and Spurs vs West Brom, both at 1.30pm followed by two 4pm games as Everton host Palace and the big one of the weekend that sees Man City square up to Chelsea.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW5 from all at FF247!

Right, so now I’be got a fresh page. I need some help from you guys.

I’m 6 points behind the leader, who has wild carded already. Whilst I’ve still got mine in hand.

I think I need some surgery, but am hesitent to make decisions on certain aspects before others become clear.

    Isgrove needs to go.

Double up of WBA is useless.

    Hazard isn’t firing.

Austin looked useless today vs Stoke, due to the poor service.

    Ramsey looks shattered.

Well it’s clear you know what you want from your team and to actually make changes you need funds, I’d personally get rid of Ramsey or Hazard and get Silva or Di maria in. Or drop him to someone like Chadli and improve Austin, Theres lots of options however ultimately I think you have a solid team. Perhaps get rid of Isgrove if he’s bothering you.

I do kind of have a plan, which changes on a weekly/hourly basis. I’d like to get Fabregas in but I’m an arsenal fan, and I’m not sure I can have him kissing his Chelsea badge in my team haha.

I think Austin needs to go first of all. Pelle, Valencia, Cisse are all options I’m looking at?!

        • Yes as a fellow gooner it’s an awful sight but you have to be completely impartial in FF and if he’s getting the points you need him in your squad. I’d go for Pelle out of them just because of his form over the last 3 weeks and his fixtures are nice till gwk12.

Ulloa is also worth a mention once Leicesters fixtures improve.

45 from today with Costa (c), Di Maria and Silva to go so moderately happy-hopefully goals galore tomorrow!
    How’d everyone else fair?

Anyone else slightly apprehensive about bringing Rooney in? I know LVG said he has privileges but I can’t see RVP being dropped despite his form and Falcao must surely get introduced given his toll on the wage bill. That would surely mean Rooney has to play deeper which will mean fewer points, no? He may get a few more assists but less points I would have thought..

AT – I would not be surprised if RVP was dropped. Or Mata with Rooney deep.

      • AT says:

It is an interesting topic, I’m just not sure I want to commit to Rooney just yet. Then again, if he scores tomorrow, bye bye Balotelli! haha

        • TheDreamers says:

same potentially. Id prefer Aguero as have no City and have DDg and ADM of Utd.

I don’t know what it means to have coverage of a certain team. Think you need coverage of top 5 teams, teams in form, teams with the best fixtures. However, some players are fixture proof. Look at a Sterling for instance, no matter how much Pool suck if he’s in the form he’s in now he can score/assist every match (if he plays :P).

Ramsey at the moment doesn’t seem to have that form, so I’m sort of glad I replaced him (especially since they have 2 really hard fixtures lined up, I think).

ANyway, I like Kun and he should be fixture proof. He however isn’t inury proof… the man of glass. Waiting to see what will happen tomorrow, depending on the outcome I will either go with Rooney to Falcao or Rooney to Kun and the path to it. 😛
