Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are now final! This could actually be a tough week for fantasy managers. A lot of the usual, ‘obvious’ candidates are away from home and even those that aren’t have difficult games on paper. Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all on the road while Swansea and Man City are at home but are by no means guaranteed anything, facing Southampton and Chelsea respectively. QPR and Stoke kick us off at 12.45pm in the early Saturday game and even that ones hard to call given the inconsistencies of both. We then have five 3pm kick offs and the day is rounded off as West ham host Liverpool in the evening game at 5.30pm. Sunday sees Leicester vs Man Utd and Spurs vs West Brom, both at 1.30pm followed by two 4pm games as Everton host Palace and the big one of the weekend that sees Man City square up to Chelsea.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW5 from all at FF247!

looking forward for what to do with my ft, 0.8 itb(could save that for chambers–>debuchy) or ward prowse out? blackett continues to play so wondering if 4.5 is a bargain?

Somebody mentioned something about a JWP injury yesterday? Any expansion on the news or was it all made up? I have Davis and he’ll start if JWP cant play.

That was me and why would I make it up? I was watching the match. Think he has an Ankle/Foot Injury and he couldn’t step off of the field himself, needed a brancard (I think you call it in English?).

Anyway. Davis should be a good shout, think he was first sub coming on. However, Southampton still have a lot of good players and once Mane returns he will start always, he’s freaking genius.

Defo seeing the wisdom of not having 2 rotating keepers just 1 player and maybe that teams second choice goalie to save some money, got it horribly wrong playing krul over mannone; 1 vs 10 points so new lesson learned i think get rid of the heartache of 1 element of decision making going wrong

Of course it can work well if u know what ur doing

Then you get stuck with a goalkeeper playing every week, even against tricky teams. That’s almost bearable if you have someone like Courtois but having Krul/Elliot, Schmeichel/Hamer, Heaton/Gilks etc. (the cheaper options) will leave games against Pool, City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs (if their attackers turn up), Everton, Southampton and Swansea (in both of their forms) which I wouldn’t like to do. Rotation ensures minimalist matches against huge teams.

Actually not so bearable with Chelsea coverage since they have been sucking at the back (I know, I have f-ing Terry). I picked DDG and was hoping for a few CS’s because of the easy early fixtures. Looking to let him go though, the United fixtures will get much harder in a few GW’s.

        • Raziel says:

Hoping for an odd CS versus City today. Shit, if Stoke can do it, Chelsea must be able to do it. PARK THE BUS MOURINHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😛

      NIN says:

Same here Geoffreys, pain in the arse when it works out like that. I’ll be holding onto Krul though as i had planned to bench him for the next two anyway. Hopefully those of us with pish scores can catch up today. Plenty of ball to be played yet smile
