Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are now final! This could actually be a tough week for fantasy managers. A lot of the usual, ‘obvious’ candidates are away from home and even those that aren’t have difficult games on paper. Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all on the road while Swansea and Man City are at home but are by no means guaranteed anything, facing Southampton and Chelsea respectively. QPR and Stoke kick us off at 12.45pm in the early Saturday game and even that ones hard to call given the inconsistencies of both. We then have five 3pm kick offs and the day is rounded off as West ham host Liverpool in the evening game at 5.30pm. Sunday sees Leicester vs Man Utd and Spurs vs West Brom, both at 1.30pm followed by two 4pm games as Everton host Palace and the big one of the weekend that sees Man City square up to Chelsea.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW5 from all at FF247!

I have 2 FTs saved up and my initial plan was to get Agüero in for next week.

Now though, it seems Di Maria is the must-have key players, would we all agree?

Basically: Rooney + Di Maria OR Agüero + Herrera

Tough choice. I don’t think Rooney has value as you’re using a Forward slot to play him as a midfielder. And I don’t see Hererra keeping up his scoring. Is there no way you can do Aguero & di Maria? If not, I would go with getting Di Maria in your side. I have Aguero but I hold my breath every time he crumbles under a tackle. He can’t stay healthy

Hey lawdogg, long-term (probably after my wildcard) then I’ll have both but it’s impossible to get them both in now on two free transfers.

Glad to see you agree. I can’t see Herrera keeling going either, but more importantly, Agüero still looks fragile and is not on form.

      Eriksen —–> Di Maria
      Krul —–> Daniels

They would be my moves, which leaves nothing in the bank, so I may have to act tonight? I don’t normally do early transfers but if Di Maria rose in price then I’d be buggered.

I would say go for it. I can’t imagine di Maria won’t rise in price over the next week & I would definitely grab him now. I have Krul as my starter & I’m trying to figure out who to replace him with. He’s been awful this season!

Who is the 4.5/4.6 keeper to have? I’ve been fighting through a string of shite games from Krul to fix other parts of my team but I can’t stomach anymore 1pt games from him. Any thoughts on who to bring in would be most welcomed.

I’m in the same boat dogg think I might switch to Heaton and Mannone they seem to rotate quite well and cheap!

So I did fairly well considering I had a mare captaining Costa with Di Maria as my vice but Balotelli has been overwhelmingly unimpressive and I feel that shipping him out has become a must.
If you could get any striker (other than RVP and Aguero) who would you bring in to this squad?
Also, United’s fixtures get pretty hard so would bringing in Rooney/Falcao/Herrera be a bad move?
    Thanks
