Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 6 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, captain and order of your subs has been decided and there ain’t no turning back. GW6 is a strange old week, it starts great with an exciting Saturday and slowly disintegrates to a potential bore-fest. However, fantasy points are available all the way through, so there’s enough action to keep us going. Just.
We kick off with the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime – anything to keep those scousers out of the pub before the game – sadly, they’ll probably do a Friday all-nighter instead, completely defeating the point of starting the game early, but whatever. Then at 3pm we have six matches – Chelsea host Villa, Palace welcome Leicester, Man City go to Hull, Man Utd take on West Ham, ‘Arry takes his Rangers back to one of his old haunts down on the South coast and Sunderland do battle with Swansea. Early evening, its derby no.2 as Arsenal take on Spurs at the Emirates, always one to look forward to. And that’s the fun really, though on Sunday Burnley go to WBA and if you still haven’t lapsed into a self-induced coma by Monday then Stoke vs Newcastle may just finish you off.
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck for GW6 from all at FF247!
Was debating bringing in Aguero. Would have been for a hit.
Would have seen:
Ddg out, Mannone in
Moreno out, Duff in
Welbeck out, Aguero in.
Short 0.1 and that’s if nobody changes in price.
Any thoughts on what changes to make ? Have 2ft and 2.8 in the bank.
FFS, youre team is awesome. LMAO. If you take a hit while your team looks like this you’re close to being crazy. If I were you I’d just use 1 transfer or else it will get lost. Keep the other ft though.
Welbeck bugs me…. So much potential given what’s behind him. But..,
Put it like this – would you captain him? Not a chance. But his price point and the fact he can do what he did last week doesn’t make it easy.
Will wait til midweek games anyway.
Dreamers,
De Gea doesn’t need to go this week, Welbeck doesn’t need to go at all, Moreno is playing WBA.
Those moves to get Aguero, for a hit, would be absolutely crazy.
That starting XI is almost perfect this week bar Welbeck, but his fixtures afterwards justify keeping him in the team.
I would just use 1 FT, possibly the De Gea move to raise cash for future weeks?
Mr Bean – you think Welbeck is a keeper ya?
Dreamers,
I think he will perform well for the 3/4 weeks after the Chelsea match.
Dreamers – I would lose De Gea and leave it at that mate.
any thoughts on this team please. No idea really
You could do Pellé in for Rooney and Sterling in for Dyer or Schneiderlin.
Rooney to Falcoa if you don’t want a hit.
Tom,
Hate to say it mate but there is quite a lot I would change..
Huge, unnecessary risk having both Clyne and Bertrand; United aren’t keeping clean sheets; Dier seemingly at risk of rotation now; too many mid priced midfielders; obvious Rooney problem.
If you don’t want to use your WC (or have already used it), I would downgrade Rooney to Pelle and upgrade Dyer to Sterling or another similarly priced midfielder for a four point hit.
Next GWK I would work on the defence.
ok cool. Thanks so much guys. much appreciated. Thing is i cant get pelle becaus of to many Southampton players. i’ll get rid of schneiderlin instead of Dyer
might go for these transfers this week
1. Schneiderlin – Sterling
2. Rooney – Pelle
Then next week go
1. Dier – Duff
2. Dyer – Chadli
Team for GameWeek 8 would look pretty strong.
De Gea
Bertrand, Clyne, Duff
Fabregas, Sterling, Di Maria, Sigurdsson
Costa, Ulloa, Pelle
Myhill, Chadli, Shawcross, Vlaar
Yes, that looks very strong. Go for it!
Nice squad, only thing I don’t like is having Chadli on the bench..he’d really annoy me when he gets points, seems like an expensive bench warmer!
1. Rooney – Aguero
2. Dier – Duff
Not sure about these but team for gw7 should look good after if i do them.
De Gea
Bertrand, Clyne, Duff
Fabregas, Sigurdsson, Di Maria, Schneiderlin
Costa, Ulloa, Aguero
Myhill, Dyer, Shawcross, Vlaar
Going after Duff even though he got an asswooping earlier today?
yeah Raz, thats the problem
Bought Moore myself yesterday. Played everything and even though Leicester did concede 9 goals they already faced United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton. So that’s not weird, think they’re the best promoted team.
Moore is another idea. Good up-coming fixtures and i gives me 1.1k to use on upgrading Dyer/Schneiderlin/Shawcross
TomW13 – Rooney out for Pelle/Falcao will see you right i think.
yeah. Cheers lads
Not a great FPL pick but the Ox looked very impressive yesterday. Will he ever get consistent gametime?
He will have short spells in the starting eleven based on form and injuries but for him to get a long term spot would be incredibly tough. The return of Walcott in a couple of weeks time won’t make it any easier.
Would you guys transfer out Fab for Silva don’t like the chelsea fixtures & I’ve think Silva could bring me more PTS ? 1 FT
I was thinking about doing the same. I am still unsure though. Fab has looked a bit more defensive than Silva has lately. I prefer offensive midfielders.
Jeet – No chance. Fabregas is in great form. GW 6 was Silva’s first returns since GW1.
Is it madness to be considering startIs it madness to be considering starting Downing over Fab this week?
RoLfc1 – I would have to say yes, mad move. Chelsea will hammer Arsenal i think. Cesc all the way 😉
Fair enough, ill take your word for it haha!
Are you a chelsea man by any chance?! 😛
Quite the opposite! Chelsea are easily my most disliked club I just think they’ll put 3 or 4 past Arsenal on Sunday.
YESS WISDOM! Thank God I went with you instead of Duff.
Alright lads. I have a pretty good idea on what I want, but I need your help here. All opinions and advice is greatly appreciated!
I have 3 options.
#1. Keep my current team.
#2. Falcao in – Welbeck out, Downing in – Fabregas out
#3. Falcao in – Welbeck out, Downing in – Di Maria out.
I don’t necessarily need to go with the “safest” option.
Thank you!
Ruben – Leave as is, for me.
Btw, thank you for replying NIN, I appreciate it.
Anyone else? I’d seriously love all thoughts and opinions.
Ruben – I’d agree with Nin. See no reason to sell either of those players.
Well I am not too pleased with Welbeck and he has a very tough fixture ahead. Falcao is playing against Everton (who let’s in goals left and right), so that’s why I’m looking into it. Thank you for your feedback! I’m leaning towards option #1 now.
