Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 6 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, captain and order of your subs has been decided and there ain’t no turning back. GW6 is a strange old week, it starts great with an exciting Saturday and slowly disintegrates to a potential bore-fest. However, fantasy points are available all the way through, so there’s enough action to keep us going. Just.
We kick off with the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime – anything to keep those scousers out of the pub before the game – sadly, they’ll probably do a Friday all-nighter instead, completely defeating the point of starting the game early, but whatever. Then at 3pm we have six matches – Chelsea host Villa, Palace welcome Leicester, Man City go to Hull, Man Utd take on West Ham, ‘Arry takes his Rangers back to one of his old haunts down on the South coast and Sunderland do battle with Swansea. Early evening, its derby no.2 as Arsenal take on Spurs at the Emirates, always one to look forward to. And that’s the fun really, though on Sunday Burnley go to WBA and if you still haven’t lapsed into a self-induced coma by Monday then Stoke vs Newcastle may just finish you off.

    Anyone think Moore could be a good pick seeing as Leicester have burnley this week?

    Trying to free up some funds so need a cheapie

    • I bought him yesterday. Terry out, Moore in. laugh

      Will make it possible for me to get Baines after GW7.

    • I’m fielding Moore for GW7 as he is almost a 100% certain CS. Burnley has only scored 1 goal so far in 6 games.

        • I actually thing Burnley may well score next week. After being smoked today, they have no choice but to go on the attack. I’ll still be fielding Moore, just in case I’m wrong 😉

        • Just checked, it’s really your defense that’s giving you the lead. I just have Terry but you already have players with CS. Next week my defense won’t do that much better either.

          Your team looks like a freaking WC team. It’s where I want mine to be at. :p

        • Burnley can’t change their playing style. It has worked for them so far and if they change it, they’ll get butchered.

        • Actually no. I don’t do social media. HAHAHA. Whatsapp is the only way I keep contact, keeping online thingy’s seems too much of a hazzle. :p

          On that note, could be I made an account a dozen years ago. Mark Zuckerberg probably already took it down because of lack of activity. 😉

          On that note, I used to have multiple mails and I used my second mail for sites like this and FPL (before knowing they were trustworthy). Just tried logging in but I can’t anymore. HAHAHA.

          Was just thinking, I think I have a niece living in NZ. Or wait, did she move back to Holland. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Aaah well. She was adopted, Asian I think.

        • On that note? On the first note and on the second note? I always overuse certain words in English. I also type out words that ummm sound like the word I mean. Like, he won the match, I could type: ”He one the match.” So f-ing weird. Such a drag, I think I’m going crazy.

        • AS you don’t know if she’s still in NZ, I’m assuming you don’t know what part of NZ??!!! So was the upshot of that rant you don’t have a twitter account mate? smile

        • By the way NZ. We have to go our separate ways and make our own choices. Quite happy what I have done up till now. laugh

          We’re both doing great. In all honesty, it’s usually the choices you make yourself that work out the best. Don’t like listening to others too much, want to make up my own mind and go with my gut.

          My gut told me to replace Rooney for Falcao, my gut was devastated after 45 minutes, after 90 minutes my gut told me I did awesome. Awesome gut I have (gut sounds like kut in Dutch which is bad words for a certain female area). So whenever I say ”gut” I have a smile on my face. laugh

          Ps. that’s a lot of ”gut” in a few sentences (this one included)

And say I’m interested in reading articles of this person that twitters and that person that twitters. I have to TWEET! I need to follow people. ZOMG, my ”gut” tells me that’s a bad thing. laugh

    Cssc,siggy, sterling. Di Maria
    Costa, Rooney, pelle

    Rooney injured, so my two main options are falcao and aguero, if I do dea Gea out for fabianski, I have enough for Aguero (just, by tomorrow I expect price change) or do I just do Rooney out for falcao and Ramsey out for Silva? Really unsure. Looking to use my wildcard after international break. Any thoughts appreciated

    • Oh wow it’s late, I don’t have Di Maria, insted I have Ramsey and my bench mid is Albrighton

      • Not injured he got a straight red so that’s a three match ban. I did Rooney to Aguero.

        • It was my long term plan over several GWs plus if it doesn’t work out or his glass hamstrings go I can swap him for anybody. He is a class striker should haul some good points.

      Like I said earlier tonight, Ramsey COULD be set to your bench to be brought back in after the Chelsea match (Wenger has highlighted he expects him to be back after that and they play Hull, Swansea, Burnley, Sunderland over four weeks).

      Therefore I think you should do the Rooney to Falcao move maybe. I’m sure Falcao is about to find the net very soon. Aguero you could do but having only Fabianski as GK is maybe not ideal.

        The fabianski would be relatively short term, as in my wildcard side I would look for Howard to be in, or someone else in that range. I meant to mention I have 1.2 Mil in the bank and 2 FT. The thing stopping me from falcao is that if aguero catches fire, I can’t afford :/ whereas I can easily do aguero- falcao

    • duthers – I would get Aguero mate. Kinda have to wait until after the midweek games though, in case he gets injured again. If he comes through okay then he’s the one to go for i think. Ramsey out too because he’s bound to lose value at least.

  5. Any MLS managers still around? Thoughts on what to do about the couple of dgw’s coming up? The vast majority of the dgw matches look to be tough games for iffy teams like Houston and Chicago. Mad to ignore them?

    • Hi NIN, I’m waiting up for the LA and NYRB line-ups as we speak! Did wonder the same with Chicago this week. They are a bit meh but probably worth bringing in a couple just to cover it I think.

      I already brought in Johnson (Fire GK) ahead of this coming week. Going to add Segares and Larentowicz so I’ll have three Fire this coming week.

      For the following week at the moment I have Wondo and Bendik (Toronto GK) but will add some Dynamo, probably Barnes and Clark.

      On 78 this week with Zardes, Donovan and Keane tonight.

    • Cheers lads. Hmm, i’ve just had another look at the fixtures, really don’t like them. Maybe Davis and Wondolowski in gwk 31 but even those aren’t great.

      Line ups should be out now in about 10 minutes or so. Not that they mean anything to me, literally no subs to bring in if anyone doesn’t play laugh

  6. For anyone still awake! This is my situation. Need Rooney out.

    Do I:
    Rooney -> Dzeko straight swap
    OR
    Ivan -> Moore, Rooney -> Aguero, Then next GW: Dier -> Azpilicueta?

    Or any other suggestions?

      Just watched Dzeko in the highlights there and it looks to me he is quite confident just now and in doing the straight swap to him, you will have City cover in your team which is the big one you are missing just now. I have Aguero but if I had neither and was going for one, Dzeko to me is as good a move as Aguero just now.

      • Yeh he did look good to be fair! It would save me a -4 also which would be good! Cheers mate

    • Fally – I would wait until after the midweek games to be sure that Aguero is fit for next weekend. If he is, then i would bring him in.

      • Just worried about the Rooney price drop. Totalfpl is showing it as not happening today but their price changes thing is off at the min I think!

        • It’s up to you, there’s always a risk in making an early move when there’s midweek games (i’ve made one myself) but when it comes to Aguero it really is best to wait as he’s so fragile. It’s only 0.1m after all. I would rather lose that and bring in a fit Aguero then save it only for Aguero to do his hammy midweek. 12m is a lot of dosh.

        • Yeh you make a good point I have had the same issue myself with Aguero. I may even skip Man City completely and go for Ulloa from the mighty foxes (My supported team) although that would leave me with alot of dosh in my pocket. Decisions decisions…

        • Yeah he’s a good shout too but i personally prefer to have two expensive forwards. He’s defo a good pick though.

        • Fally you’ve got to wait I feel. Especially as it’s Aguero, all things considered. I am looking at Ulloa this week as well to be fair, for Welbeck.
