Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 6 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, captain and order of your subs has been decided and there ain’t no turning back. GW6 is a strange old week, it starts great with an exciting Saturday and slowly disintegrates to a potential bore-fest. However, fantasy points are available all the way through, so there’s enough action to keep us going. Just.
We kick off with the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime – anything to keep those scousers out of the pub before the game – sadly, they’ll probably do a Friday all-nighter instead, completely defeating the point of starting the game early, but whatever. Then at 3pm we have six matches – Chelsea host Villa, Palace welcome Leicester, Man City go to Hull, Man Utd take on West Ham, ‘Arry takes his Rangers back to one of his old haunts down on the South coast and Sunderland do battle with Swansea. Early evening, its derby no.2 as Arsenal take on Spurs at the Emirates, always one to look forward to. And that’s the fun really, though on Sunday Burnley go to WBA and if you still haven’t lapsed into a self-induced coma by Monday then Stoke vs Newcastle may just finish you off.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW6 from all at FF247!

    major dilema…

have .2 in the bank, 102.5 TV

    2 FT

want to work towards upgrading D > baines at some point

problem is… i cant decide who to downgrade to free up the cash, or who to upgrade from my D
dont want to waste a FT, but perhaps i should stand pat

    OPTIONS
    1. Aguero > anybody good
    2. Siggy > Jedinak
    3. pelle>Uolla (dont like this option as i like Pelle in squad…)

    Mannone (Krul)
    Pieters Clyne Chambers (Duff Hutton)
Siggy Fab Sterling ADM [the usual] (Cork)
    Aguero Pelle Costa

    help please?

btw, i think im further ahead in canada than the 247 league. therefore, the 247 league is stronger than the second largest country in the world..

I’d just drop the whole idea, as plans like this can wreck your good start! It’s not a good idea to trade out in-form players, and unless Everton tighten up their defence Baines isn’t a worthwhile target anyway.
Instead, just use one of your FTs to fine-tune your squad (with 2FTs you’d lose one at the end of the GW if you don’t use it up). If you switch Krul for Schmeichel you’ve a great chance of a CS next GW, for example.
Longer-term, once Aguero/Costa gets injured/rested sell him to buy Ulloa (or whichever striker is in good form) and use the extra cash to upgrade Cork. You may then also be able to afford Baines if you still want him.

    Hi,

I need to transfer out Ramsey. I have 2 FTs and 0.1 in the bank. Should I do a straight transfer for:

    (A) Tadic
    (B) Silva
    (C) Silva

    or, 2 transfers:

    (D) Moreno + Ramsey —> Bertrand + Fabregas

    Thanks in advance!

      Hi stewy.
      Team #2
That being said, you don’t need both Bertrand and Clyne, downgrade one of them to Moore, as he has a great fixture against Burnley ahead.
Also I would have Siggy instead of Gerrard and downgrade Schneiderlin to Cork (and bench him)
That leaves you with around 4.7-4.8m extra to upgrade Ulloa/Wood.
I would also downgrade Ivanovic, but I can see that you’ve chosen him in both of your teams, so keep him if you like him. smile
      I hope this helped.
