Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 6 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, captain and order of your subs has been decided and there ain’t no turning back. GW6 is a strange old week, it starts great with an exciting Saturday and slowly disintegrates to a potential bore-fest. However, fantasy points are available all the way through, so there’s enough action to keep us going. Just.
We kick off with the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime – anything to keep those scousers out of the pub before the game – sadly, they’ll probably do a Friday all-nighter instead, completely defeating the point of starting the game early, but whatever. Then at 3pm we have six matches – Chelsea host Villa, Palace welcome Leicester, Man City go to Hull, Man Utd take on West Ham, ‘Arry takes his Rangers back to one of his old haunts down on the South coast and Sunderland do battle with Swansea. Early evening, its derby no.2 as Arsenal take on Spurs at the Emirates, always one to look forward to. And that’s the fun really, though on Sunday Burnley go to WBA and if you still haven’t lapsed into a self-induced coma by Monday then Stoke vs Newcastle may just finish you off.
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck for GW6 from all at FF247!
Hi guys,
So (like many) I need to get rid of Rooney, I was also thinking to sack off Sanchez (1 pt in the last 2 games)
So my question is with money not really an object. Who should I look at bringing in?
If I bring in Kun it will leave 9.1 for a mid (I’m thinking Silva might go well with him)
Or I could look at Falcao as a straight swap for Rooney (barring price changes)
or RVP (2 goals in the last 2) which would leave 8.8 for a mid.
1ft 0.5 itb
Current team
mannone
pieters – taylor – duff
siggy – cesc – di maria – sanchez
rooney – pelle – costa
krul – cattermole – dumnett – hooiveld
Not planning to change until after the CL but wondered what thoughts you might have
thanks
Kun and Sterling.
just 0.1 short for both
that’s so unlucky. Falcao and Sterling.
how does Dier – Moore sound
that’s a great transfer!
Moore has 1 home game against goal shy Burnley followed by 2 away games to Newcastle and Swansea, i can’t see a lot of points in those games
He”s cheap so he can be used as a benchwarmer when he has tough fixtures.
thats the plan Ruben. I want to get in quick because i fell like Moore will rise in price soon. Confirm now?
i also plan to take a hit with Rooney-Aguero. Next week i plan to get Sterling in but i am not sure how to unless i go for someone else instead of Aguero.
Heres the team
Yes that looks great! I’d take the whole Sterling deal later. Right now I’d say Fabregas out – Sterling in. But don’t worry about that now. Many people will tell you to wait until after the midweek CL before you bring in Aguero, but if you can’t wait because of a potential raise in Moore, I’d say confirm it now.
I don’t know how reliable the price change websites currently are, but I doubt Moore is in danger of a price rise anytime soon.
Cheers Ruben. i will most likely go
Dier – Moore
Rooney – Dzeko
then next week
Dyer – Chadli
Schneiderlin – Sterling
TomW13 – There’s really not any worry of Moore rising in value. I’d go as far as to say 0% chance.
Ok need to replace JWP to A Davis B cork C Jedinak D Dorrans ???? or another
Jedinak is a great option, but if you’re just going to bench him then I’d rather go for 4.4 Cork
Are you limited to 5m ish? If so then i’d probably go with Krancjar for his set pieces.
Hey y’all.
Doing 3 changes this week, DDG, Moreno, Balo.
Got 2 FT so I’m taking a hit to pull this off.
I know Pool have got WBA next, but tbh they looked impressive v Burnley so don’t think it’ll be easy for the reds.
These are my 3 replacements.
Manone, Bertrund, Aguero.
Risky going with double soton I know, but I’ve got 5.2m left for a defender…. Soton & Bertrund are in red hot form, so why not..?
Please feel free to fill the blanks with any better options…ta.!
Or
Maybe keep Moreno & the do Pieters to 4.6m Taylor …?
Well as you already have Southampton coverage in Clyne, I’d go for Neil Taylor instead.
Ruben.
What ..
Moreno to Taylor
Or
Pieters to Taylor.
That’s such a tough decision. They both have nice fixtures ahead. Although I’m a Pool supporter I’d strongly advice against having Pool defenders so go with Moreno to Taylor.
BP – I would get a Swansea defender instead of Bertrand. The other two moves are fine.
Dzeko or Aguero? If i go Dzeko i can get Sterling next week
Tom.
Aguero.
But i really want Sterling
Tom.
Then do Dzeko then.
If you do go Aguero how much left..?
Can u afford Aguero & Chadl / Siggy / Dyer / Tadic.
If i go Rooney – Aguero i am -2. Dzeko i have 3.5k to upgrade Schneiderlin
The only problem I have with Dzeko is that he has 2 goals so far and they were both netted against Hull. That doesn’t scream of consistency. That being said, Dzeko is a monster and could score out of nothing.
Sterling is my favourite player and he does look dangerous at the moment, so I’d go with Dzeko so you can get Sterling next week.
yeah i was leaning that way mate. Cheers. Dzeko may not even play for me so i will definitely go him
Hey all – another subpar week for me and injuries and suspensions piling up. Obviously Rooney and Ramsey this week’s problems. Need to raise 0.5 to go Rooney > Falcao. Aguero too far out of reach for me without a WC. Thinking DDG>Mannone and Roo > Falcao for a -4 and play 4-3-3 for a week. Any other suggestions? Cheers!
1FT, 0 itb
DDG, Krul
Terry, Clyne, Wilson, Duff, Chester
Fab, Sterling, Siggy, Ramsey, Barton
Costa, Rooney, Ulloa
Are you planning on going 4-3-3? Or are you taking a hit to transfer Ramsey out? DDG > Mannone is a good transfer, so is Roo > Falcao.
Oh I didn’t see the 4-3-3 in your comment at first haha.
Colriles – I would lose Ramsey and Rooney for Aguero and X mid. Not sure what sort of money you’d have for a mid.
NIN- would have max of 7.3 for a mid and I don’t see anybody in that range to warrant a hit. Who would you suggest? Schneid, Dyer, Chadli, Herrera (last 2 with knocks; Dyer would double up Swans mids) 0.2 short for Tadic.
Schneiderlin, Downing or Herrera, if fit. Maybe Chadli, but i’m not fully convinced by him just yet. He rarely completes the 90.
Tbh I think £5.6 Downing is a fantastic choice with QPR and Burnley in the coming fixtures. That would leave you with extra dosh for next weeks transfer. I have Downing in my team for GW7:
Cheers guys. A lot to chew on all week.
