Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 7 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, captain and order of your subs has been decided and there ain’t no turning back. GW7 doesn’t begin until 3PM on Saturday which feels strange but don’t be deceived by this please – the deadline remains at 11.30AM, UK time.

There are five 3pm games which are-

Hull vs Crystal Palace
Leicester vs Burnley
Liverpool vs West Brom
Sunderland vs Stoke
Swansea vs Newcastle

To conclude your Saturday entertainment Aguero and co take their considerable talent up to face Roy Keane’s beard, aka Aston Villa, at 5.30pm in the early evening kick-off.

Sky Sports’ ‘Super Sunday’ is currently under investigation after a breach of the Trade Descriptions Act last week. (*legal team edit: they’re not). They bloody well should be though. (*legal team edit: they’re really not). Either way this Sunday should prove to be much more interesting as there are four games which will all hold fantasy interest aplenty. Unlike last week (legal: clears throat) –

Man Utd vs Everton 12pm
Chelsea vs Arsenal 2.05pm
Spurs vs Southampton 2.05pm
West Ham vs QPR 4.15pm

  1. Hi guys a decent 79 points this week and I have two free transfers in the bag and 0.1m in the bank. My defence is struggling was going to swap dier for Bertrand and maybe manquillo out but not sure for who?!?!

    • Woah well done mate! I ended with 52 thanks to Baines’ pen miss and a WBA pen that shouldn’t have been given. It’s hard to give advicw on defenders as every team concedes, except Chelsea.

  2. Lads… I’m frustrated. I don’t have Aguero, but I don’t see how having him would benefit me as I’d have to downgrade at least 2, maybe even 3 players and take a hit. Can you see anything that needs improvement? I got so unlucky, God damnit..
    I would like to bring in Sturridge and Walcott in GW9 if they’re fit.

    • Naaah, don’t see it happening either. Your main problem is you started much later than the rest of us. For instance, I picked Sterling, Di Maria, Pelle, Siggy, Costa before their price rises. Team still looks very balanced and good by the way.

      And well Kun. Sort of decided to not get him yet. Maybe after Jan wildcard or if Falcao/Costa pick up injuries. Falcao’s aim was off today but he still managed one goal. His scoring telly is almost the same as that of RvP and RvP played 3 more games I think.

      • Scrap that, RvP missed the first game and also didn’t play full 90 in the second and third.

      • Yeah I see. The prices do limit me a lot, but I managed to form a pretty balanced team. Thanks for the feedback, I’ll be keeping the FT unless anyone gets injured during internationals. smile

    • Hey Ruben not much wrong with this team not a lover of Silva or Lovren but they do have good fixtures coming up

        • You have good balance in your team Ruben so although I don’t like them it might be worth sticking with them for time being They both have good fixtures coming up so could be ok I can see Hazhard starting to pick up points Sanchez should do well over nk few games Downing seems to be picking up a lot of bonus points & Yaya might kick of now but all expensive

      • Silva is the best player City have but he rarely gets the FPL points he deserves. >.<

        He's like the opposit of Mirallas whom usually gets way more than he deserves, lol.

        • I feel like Silva often ends up being the assistant’s assistant, but I do believe he has what it takes to change that.

        • Don’t think he takes free kicks and/or corners either, does he?

          Noticed last game with Rooney injured Di Maria was taking everything, corners on both sides and free kicks from everywhere. He’s now the main man of the main man man man o man. He’s awesome.

  3. Sighs, always when I think and can’t get any lower the make up something new for the celebrity people. Celebrity Pole Dancing. It really sucks we’re living in the reality era and the worst part of it all is that it’s been introduced with Big Brother by a f-ing Dutchie. Aaarghhhhhhhhhh. :rant:

    • Hoping I will still be ranked within the top 2k after today. Subs have been added so they should have endscore soonish. laugh

        7 forwards all have at least 1 assist or goal, big points. My defense: Forster 2 points, Moore 1 point, Hutton 1 point, Dummett 1 point. Glad I’ll have Baines soonish. laugh

        • OOoh wait, Pelle did nothing this GW. sad So 6 players doing well. Anyway, my final score is 61.

        • Yeah Pelle did nothing and Welbeck did nothing + recieved a yellow. Me and Welly aren’t friends right now, but I’ll give him another week. Pelle and Welbeck managed to bring in 3 points combined – well done lads.

        • Spurs away not the easiest. Haven’t seen the game. But I’m guessing Soton would’ve done better at home. Soton have like 3 homegames in their next 4. Sun (H), Sto (H), Hull (A), Lei (H), Villa (A) (————— awesome list

        • Hahaha omg. Thank God for that Falcao goal!

        • He was very close to score more than once. He’s realy the type of striker I like. Prefer him (if fit) over players like RvP and Kun. Love the number 9. Even Costa can’t come close to him when he’s really on fire. On that note, Hazard taking penalty kicks @ Chelsea over Costa, was sort of a surprise to me. But he did make 7 out of 7.

        • I do like to watch Kun play, but I agree 100%. Falcao’s play style is amazing and no striker in the BPL can compare in my opinion. Costa’s play style is a bit ugly in my opinion.
          Di Maria is the best player in the BPL though.

        • Lol @ BPL, they call it that in Norway? I think it’s still the EPL (English Premier League). Scotland for instance ain’t in it. 😉

          Di Maria is the best player at the moment, best in form for sure. Silva is also a player I really like. RvP doesn’t come close to the player he was 2 seasons ago. You can say what you want about United, yeah they have overspend by a whole lot. But they actually have players I really want to see play. Hahaha. I’m guessing Falcao and Di Maria will have the best selling shirts in the EPL this season.

        • BPL is kinda like the official name for the league Raz, you silly Dutch nut

        • Didn’t know you were from Norway, Ruben, shoulda guessed it based on the name. I’m Norwegian too, but live in the States.

        • I’m not a ManUtd supporter, but I just can’t miss the ManUtd matches because they now have such interesting players that i love to watch. Silva is great! He runs the whole City play.

        • @tekno – oh damn, have you ever lived in Norway and which state are you in? I’ve only ever visited NY and FL.

        • I’m 19 years old Ruben, moved to the states in the end of August so only been here a little over a month. I live on Long Island in the state of New York.

      That said, other than his absence, it’s a very nice squad.

      • Just from reading stuff I can get more for my cash without him!

        I was going to hold the WC but the team looks so good and what with good Arsenal/Everton Fixtures. It also fixes my bench problem.

    • Team 2 looks more balanced. 5m for Bego though? I’d go with Forster.

      • Double up on Southampton?

        • Better not, indeed. However, wouldn’t bet on Stoke coverage in the back. They’ve been terrible. 5m for terrible is a lot.

    • Definitely worth a WC. Kun is a goalscorer, but so is Di Maria, Baines, Welbeck and Pellè. Also, do as Raz said, get Forster instead of Begovic.

      • I’d also look into bringing in some City cover. Maybe Silva in for Fabregas?

      • That’s my thinking and don’t want to fall behind As I think most people will own these players!

    • King doesn’t start for Leicester. Go with Boyd from Burnley.

    • Monreal is due back soon so Gibbs is a bit of a risk.

      Might be better with Chambers, even if it means benching him this week.

    • Apparently keep the goal clean from goals. He was amazing though.

    • I sort of get it that he needs a CS to get some bps. However, it’s almost impossible for goalies to pickup BPS which can be quite annoying. They really need a perfect match if they want to stand a chance.

      • Consecutive red arrows and out of the top 500, need to bounce back after the international break (where hopefully Kun gets injured so i don’t have to worry about him) 😉

        Baines penalty cost me 400 places :'(

        • Oh man!!! sad yeah I hope he gets injured or blanks against Spurs. Baines needs to apologize to you immediately!

    • It’s what I’m gonna do. Baines for Pieters is a perfect move. Anyway, will wait as long as possible with making that transfer. You never know what will happen during International Break. Kun might pick up something (very likely :p).

    • Not worried about not having Di Maria?

      • Not so much over the next 3 GWs, I’ll bring him in after that.

        Assuming nothing changes I’ll do this over the next 4 weeks:

        Baines in for Pieters
        Chadli in for Fabregas
        Chambers in for Chester
        Di Maria in for Sterling
