Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 7 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, captain and order of your subs has been decided and there ain’t no turning back. GW7 doesn’t begin until 3PM on Saturday which feels strange but don’t be deceived by this please – the deadline remains at 11.30AM, UK time.

There are five 3pm games which are-

Hull vs Crystal Palace
Leicester vs Burnley
Liverpool vs West Brom
Sunderland vs Stoke
Swansea vs Newcastle

To conclude your Saturday entertainment Aguero and co take their considerable talent up to face Roy Keane’s beard, aka Aston Villa, at 5.30pm in the early evening kick-off.

Sky Sports’ ‘Super Sunday’ is currently under investigation after a breach of the Trade Descriptions Act last week. (*legal team edit: they’re not). They bloody well should be though. (*legal team edit: they’re really not). Either way this Sunday should prove to be much more interesting as there are four games which will all hold fantasy interest aplenty. Unlike last week (legal: clears throat) –

Man Utd vs Everton 12pm
Chelsea vs Arsenal 2.05pm
Spurs vs Southampton 2.05pm
West Ham vs QPR 4.15pm

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW7 from all at FF247!

Evening folks, good weekend had by all?
62 points and in the top 60k so happy enough so far.
Trying to get Baines in, have two FTs and .5 in the bank.
Have a few ideas but said I’d open to the floor for suggestions,
Any and all opinions much appreciated, cheers!

This is my team for GW8. Still have 1FT left and 2.5m in the bank. Will replace Pieters with Baines before the IB ends. Want to wait as long as possible, I do have to make the transfer before Pieters goes down though.

You guys see holes in my team that need fixing after that transfer?

Don’t like dummet tbh. I’ve got him too and want to ditch him ASAP

For the extra 0.1 wisdom is a far better shout I think as Newcastle look truly awful

      • Raziel says:

Yeah, was thinking the same. Had Dummie since GW1 though. 😉

        • Pippin says:

I have a similar plan to you Raz, but don’t back Colo against Leicester, Wilson against Swansea, or O’Shea against Saints. So I am thinking to keep Terry an extra week, get someone else in, and then get Baines for GW9… Tricky decisions…especially since no one is keeping CS right now!

        • Raziel says:

Hmmmm. Baines has CS potential in the next game plus chance of assists/goals. WANT HIM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Al the others in the back can go to waste. Today again I just got 5 points from my back 4. sad

        • Raziel says:

Anyway, bad luck with Chambers. Else I’d have 4 homestarters. sad

Really odd, Colo seems to be a f-ing piss poor leader this season by the way. The need someone like Vlaar.

        • Pippin says:

Yeah, he’s been a shambles. He was wretched against Swansea. Maybe I could do a 4pt hit and get Baines in as well during the break– it worked out (just!) for me this week, so I could gamble. His fixtures are ace. Well done on your ranking btw- great stuff!

        • Raziel says:

Hmmm Pippin. Choose not to take a hit for him this GW and it paid off. Sort of. He has to score gets bps and the other player you’re not playing has to suck. Really hard. You can never foretell cleansheets imho.

Only hit I’ve taken was getting Di Maria in, which really paid off. Hehehe.

Anyway, last week nobody expected Burnley to ever score, shit Ruben even said the points were in the pocket for the Leicester defenders, well we’ve seen how that worked out. >.<

        • Pippin says:

very true. My hit this week was essential to replace Rooney/Ramsey with Aguero and Downing- and it worked. No guarantee with defenders though. Tough tough tough

        • Raziel says:

In all honesty, if I really had to take a hit (no defenders playing or whatever reason to finance a key mid/forward) it would be to take in Baines. I would have to feel forced though in someway. The hit I took for Di Maria was when I took out Mata and Ramsey for Di Maria and Sterling. I was almost certain Mata wasn’t going to start and it looked like Ramsey was injured (whom of course did start that game), Di Maria made it good move. Think I got 84 points that GW. Best GW I had, lol.

In the long run Baines is just a f-ing must. Can’t bet against him. Dude is ranked as defender so he can pick up cleansheets (which Everton will do in the long run, especially now their fixtures are gonna get better) and he will just score/assist like crazy. He’ll end up with 180 points at the end of the season. Any other defender will be luck to pick up 120.

Price movements. I gave up looking at the usual places (Fiso, TotalFPl). I’m sure there’s been plenty chat on this but has anyone/anywhere worked out what’s going on with prices this season?

I see young Tom Farmer dropped to 12th place overall, but only 6pts off top spot, its close up there at the moment, well in Tom, keep it going mate.
