Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8GW8 is live! We start the week off with a lunch time affair between Palace and West Brom. Palace brings the almost all useable, but none consistent enough to be used in FPL mids versus the Baggies all useable defenders as long as they are playing away. After that early kick off we follow it up with five, 3pm fixtures. The Villans battle Barca B (Stoke City) in an early relegation battle, newly promoted Watford pay a visit to the Wilson-less Bournemouth side, in other action Newcastle take on a Manchester City side that is playing like…well, Newcastle. The Canaries tangle with the recently perch dropped Leicester side after Mahrez and company got beat down at the hands of Arsenal. 3rd place West Ham gets their chance to fill their boots when they face the criminally inept Sunderland defence. In the last fixture of the day we see the strangely enough fun (funny at times) as heck Mourinho side face off against Southampton who is known to at times get into up and down affairs. Expect a 0-0 now.

On Sunday we have three fixtures. The Merseyside Derby gets us going. A surprising Everton side takes on the evil genius Brendan Rodgers. By evil we mean funny and by genius we also mean funny. After Rodgers finishes up with his party trick formations, we get some more when LVG takes his first place side to visit a 4th place side. Any idea who could be in 4th? Just guess, it is very obvious… that’s right Arsenal!! Wenger will feel relieved knowing he has already taken control of his ultimate objective and undoubtedly will have proved naysayers wrong again. Who needs a striker? Not Wenger! In the other fixture the Swans play host to the resurgent Spurs. Spurs of course are in 6th place, perfectly in line for a Europa spot, again.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the FanTeam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

  1. Thinking of using my 2ft on
    Pedro to payet
    Gomis to pelle
These good moves. Should I do now or near end of gameweek?

  2. 98 points for my team, but soon Skrtel and Westwood would sub in and give me a total of 101 points. Gee thanks Skrtel and Lord Westwood, without you guys the century would not have been possible.

Aguero, Payet, Sanchez and Butty the only performers. Made some money on Spurs vs Swansea draw, so overall a great GW. B)

Will hold my transfer till the break is over, but have 3 in mind at the moment. Which one is the most desirable?

    1. Sagna > Janmaat

    2. Pedro > KDB

    3. Martial > Pelle

    • B,
      Pedro to KdB….!!!

You really want a Newcastle defender??? (Yes understand Sagna probably has lost his place, but still)
Martial had a lot of positives from the game, but Arsenal were just too good

      • Janmaat is a really good attacking defender, and he has really great fixtures coming up. Chasing clean sheets this season is not working out.

        • Yeah he might, but surely there are better options around for that price?

    • Hi B

KdB in at any cost mate.

      • Wait for the deadline? Or just go for the transfer and avoid loss in value?

        • Rate now, surely people will be shipping him in…. and also with Citys performance I think a few WC’s will be played to bring him and Aguero in

        • What is more important? Loss in value or fielding 11 players without a hit? I think the answer lies in the question. 😉

        • Peter Pan wants to be a kid forever. Just saying. ^o^

        • Raz its my excuse for being immature… what is yours? 😉

        • B

I’d wait until the Friday press conferences after the internationals. You may have a problem with him (please no!) or anyone else by that point.

        • @ Peter Pan
You need a made up charactar to act immature? Guess we all like to fool ourselves. I have no excuses, you obviously do. laugh

  3. Think its time to ship Gomez out…
    Cech McCarthy
    Kolarov J,Evans Morgan Francis Gomez
    Payet KdB Mahrez Sanchez Westwood
    Aguero Martial Ighalo
    0.5m itb 1FT
So 5.2m for a defender to replace Gomez… Advise?

  4. 101 points! I’m one very happy chappy!!! Thank you Captain Aguero, Pelle, Sanchez and Payet!

    • swirly,

Well in sir. Much prefer these weekend evenings to what we have had so far. The beer seems colder and tastier!

      • Cheers, GP! Incredible score for you too! Yep, going to crack open a celebratory beer tonight – might have broken the top 100k!

    • Top draw swirly did you enjoy Southport.

      • Cheers, SIlvers! Yeah, had a great time cheers bud. Watched the Palace game and Soccer Saturday in The Park in Birkdale and had a cracking meal at Six 30. Did you end up going to Bar Eighty Eight in the end?

        • Hey swirly The Park is a great place ended up in the Office had a good night cheers mate.

  5. 94 points considering I didnt cap Aguero. happy as hell. took a hit though
thanks Kun Sanchez KDB Vardy and last but not the least Cappo Payet
did Wilson to Vardy and Pedro to Payet for a hit.

    utterly happy
jumped 1.1 mn places yesterday. hoping for a 40 50k jump today too.

will take me under the 700k mark overall. will take that as I have all my chips alive

  6. On wild card. Who are the best defenders around 5 million mark. Need 5 of them? Not a massive fan of expensive defenders

    • Smash
You dont need 5 5mil defenders… you will have too much sitting on the bench each week.
Maybe 2x5mil def and 3×4.5m defenders that rotate nicely and invest the savings in your attack. (else 3x5m and 2×4.5m def)

      • Yeah that’s what I mean

    • City + Swansea + WB + 4.5 + 4.5

      • Is Dawson best option at WB? Would prefer Evans as cheaper but a bit injury prone

    • Smash

Five (OK, seven) names off the top of my head to give you a start would be:

Kolarov (or Gabriel), Souare, Dawson, Naughton or Williams and Francis.

      • Gabriel ain’t a bad shout. I’m going to have Souare. I’m considering Dawson not convinced by fixtures though it is Sunderland next. Swansea have decent fixtures. All good options thanks

        • Smash – I think Gabriel is a great shout, I think he his nailed to start, mertsaker will lose his place once koscienly is back! I have bellerin and I’m think of doubling up with Gabriel for sagna.
