Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, captain and order of your subs has been decided and there ain’t no turning back. GW8 begins at 12.45pm on Saturday as Man City host Spurs in the early game.

There are then six 3pm games which are –

Arsenal vs Hull
Burnley vs West Ham
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea
Everton vs Aston Villa
Newcastle vs Leicester
Southampton vs Sunderland

Sunday sees two games –

QPR vs Liverpool 1.30pm
Stoke vs Swansea 4.00pm

The gameweek is then concluded on Monday evening as West Brom host Man Utd at 8pm.

  1. A score of 54 and I don’t have Tadic or Kun. Not that bad and I actually would be at peace with it where it not for the fact that the move I wanted to make was Sterling /Costa out and Tadic /Kun in. Not only would my injury problems be solved I’d also have over 100 points. And the cruel fact is that this still is the transfer I want to make and I’m probably gonna make. My continuing need to ask other people for advice has worked against me for the billionth time. In this game I’m my own worst enemy. Ironically.

    • Same here raz. I asked advice about taking a -8 and decided against it. If i had gone with my gut I’d be 15 pts better off

    • Asking for advice is part of the game. Thinking that ” I’m glad to get that advice but I’m going with it anyway” is what we all do.

      A minus 8 rarely rarely rarely will pay back

    • Raz, I am in exactly the same boat mate. I did nothing. I was gonna take a hit to get Costa and Tadic or Manè in. Decided to risk not doing anything so I would 2 ft’s for next week and monitor the Costa situation. Red arrows all over the place. Not been this frustrated with fpl for a long time!!

      • Its still just a game though, and the advice is always given with good faith! smile

      • I’d be ranked in the top 10 of the world. It’s indeed all about regrets, not going with my gut. Still ranked in the top 3k which isn’t even that bad with my cappo still left to play.

    • Always go with your gut Raz.Always better to regret something you have done than something you havent !

    • Asking for advice is surely just a reassurance of what you are thinking / planning anyway? I make my own calls regardless and stand or fall by them. (Fall this week! laugh ) All part of the game. Last thing I’d ever want is to blame someone else. I ask advice, take it on board and decide from there.

      • Don’t blame anyone else, it was several people. The fact I needed reassurance is my own problem. Not yours or anyone elses. Can never blame anyone but yourself. Unless they hack ya account. :p

        • That’s the reason why I’m so pissed, it’s all aimed at myelf. >.<

          Ruined a top 10 ranking of the world. Something I will never ever achieve ever…

  2. Hey guys. So I’m just looking at options for next gameweek. Do you have any suggestions as to what I should do with my team for next gameweek? I want to bring in Tadic or Pellè or both if that’s a smart move.
    How should I do this?

    • Maybe something like this?
      I won’t make any transfers before friday.

          so its Azpi and Downing out for Duff and Tadic in for a minus 4.

          What if you changed Zamora for Sakho or Naismith? That would mean you could get (Burnley lad that scored today) or a 4.7m defender for Azpi which should give you a good bit of scope such as Vlaar.

        • How did you only join now btw?

      • You’ve got nothing in the bank to play with so the chances of being able to do that on Friday are very slim as tadic is bound to go up

    Ivan to Jags and Ulloa to Pelle
    or
    Fab to Tadic and Ulloa to Pelle

    • I don’t see how fab to tadic is an improvement unless fab has problems like sterling. So for me it would be 1.

      • +1, theres no need to take out fab unless you have hazard, which I’m guessing you don’t? also double s’oton is probably a little too much, they aren’t going to win 8-0 every week!!

    • Hmmm i havent actually got a problem with you taking Fab out.He came out after the game today and said “He was playing in a deeper role now and he may only get a goal or assist every 6 games “

  4. GW 8 with projected bonus points according to the BPS. Expected overall average is 32 points from 6.4 players. Average score in the top 10K is 39.1 points from 6 players.

  6. 76 points from Krul, Alderweild, Baines, Tadic, Welbeck & Aguero… Best thing is I had Costa as captain and Kun as vice!!

    Taylor, Siggy, Sterling, Di Maria and Wilson to play.

    A 120+ GW would be great! Happy Saturday.
