Also off for bed. Take care all. It’s been a … day but we all survived. Glad yall could survive my complaining. ZOMG. Still can’t believe I could’ve been top 10 (of the f-ing world) if I just trusted in myself a bit more. This site is the greatest FPL helping site but in the end you need to make up your own mind and always go with your gut. Regretting something you did do isn’t as bad as regretting something you did not do. I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FEEL MY PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >.<

      Good night all. Oyasumi Nasai.

Assuming Costa is back, I don’t think I’ll need any transfers this week.

    Any opinions?

Well, what a day! RMT –

    De Gea (Krul)
Clyne, N. Taylor, Vlaar (Wisdom, G. Cahill)
Di Maria, Hazard, Sterling, Siggy, Downing
    Costa, Pelle (Ulloa)

    1FT, 0.7mil itb.

I’m not sure it’s time for me to get Aguero tbh! Costa is great himself, Pelle is in great form as well (I’d take 6 goals, 2 assists in his last 6 games any day of the week for that price!), and Ulloa is just too cheap to upgrade up to Aguero it seems. If Costa is injured again I’ll upgrade him to Kun.

    Anyway, thoughts?

hey ppl..I am so f**ing angry with my auto substitution for costa. had king who didnt play, had that dummy Mc Shane(bluffed for just 2 GWs) and getting duff(1 pt) as a sub.these are the times for which they ask you to get a proper replacement. better late than never.. this is my current team, have 2 FTs and .4m in the bank. any suggestions frens?
    Krul/Mannone
Baines, Ivano, Mc Shane, Clyne, Duff
    Fab, Sterling, Siggs, ADM, f**King
    Costa, Welbeck, Pelle

Also, is it advisable to get Aguero in place of Costa(which half of the FPL world right now is donig) or shud I make peace with it..

      Consstantine, Constantine, Constantine.

First things first. – Relax mate. You’ve got a ranking in the top 40k. You’ve had way more green arrows than red. You had Baines and Pelle play and are well above the average score for this week, and you’ve still got 3 including your captain still to play.

Right then… your team…. It’s a good one. Not really much to improve on……

Personally, I would ditch Ivan. Mixed bag of fixtures and haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet against one of their easier fixtures, Palace. And unlike Baines who’s on set pieces etc, you’re relying on Ivan to keep coming up with something special. Better to switch him out to free up some cash and improve on that bench you so clearly hate!! 😉 (I’d keep Duff though!)

And/or… why don’t you wait and see if Sterling looks good tomorrow and then decide whether a change in midfield is needed. No point doing anything before then as the price rises have already gone through. I wouldn’t consider double Southampton (so no to Mane or Tadic). Tricky to suggest any other big hitters. SIlva or Toure don’t seem good value. Hmmm… tricky.

Maybe just hold off as late as possible on Costa and if we get any indication that he’ll be out for a while, ditch him for Aguero as you suggested.

Right then. I need to go now and pick all these splinters out of my arse….

      smile

      • musungu says:

I would also change Ivan and with the cash bring in Mane ( Soton) for King

        • chins says:

I’ve always liked you musungu. You’re a smart lad. 😉

Not sure about double So’ton though. They can’t win 8-0 every week (although I think it is Stoke next…) Bringing in Mane for King would need Costa to be out injured, otherwise he’s gonna have a very good expensive player on the bench which would be a waste.

      • constantine says:

hahaha, thanks chins… you’re always a life saver . yupp, all’s good for now. I am not saying that I regret not getting tadic in. the result was totally unexpected, even for the owners. I wud still not consider getting aguero in(as suggested by u too) as i feel 12.4m is a tad more for a single player, howsoever good he is. i am surely going to stay put on sterling till today’s match. i wud like to hold him if he gets enuff playtime and scores some too. and i’m for sure going to have a check on ivanovic. till now, i hadn’t thought the way u suggested about him. how about bring barkley in for ivano and getting a cheapy def? thanks a ton mate..

        • constantine says:

and moreover, how to get the smilies in? they can actually change the sense of the statement sorry for the ignorance though :-P..(again wanted to have a thing here, but couldnt)

        • chins says:

Mate, I am the worst person to ask about techy stuff. And the fact I consider smilies as “techy” should tell you all you need to know about my skills or lack of!!

I believe there is a pop up box somewhere where you can see them all. Or basically just put different things in between two sets of colons. : :

For example (hope this works), if I squeeze a turtle in between two colons….

          :turtle:

        • chins says:

          or…. big-lol…

          :big-lol:

        • chins says:

          or…. Nope. That’s all I know!!!

I’m sure a turtle and a big-lol will get you through most situations.

          Good luck!!

I’m off to bed now. Cookie will be up soon though, to explain why all the advice I’ve just given is useless……..

          :turtle:

          Frikkin love that turtle.

        • chins says:

Right…. One more reply and then I need to get to bed…

I love the Barkley idea!! Martinez was raving about him after the match and over the next week or two (injuries allowing), he’s gonna get back to being an every week 90 minute player. Especially with Mirallas out long term. Nice differential. And great fixtures.

The point I made earlier still stands though – Don’t waste your money on having a really strong front 8 unless you know that Costa is going to be out for another one week and you just want to bench him rather than sell him. If he is going to be out, fine. Upgrade king to Barkley with the Ivan cash and deal with which of the front 8 players you sell for a cheapie when Costa is back. (only leaves you c.4.4 for a defender though. Not ideal.

I think your best bet, if Costa is playing, is to switch maybe Sterling (or super brave – Siggy!!) to Barkley and keep King (or a cheap equivalent (Boyd?)) as your bench player. Then you won’t need to sell Ivan unless you see somewhere else you want to improve.

If Costa is going to be out a while and you can afford to sell him, then use 1 FT to switch costa to any fwd with short term good fixtures (Aguero or a cheaper alternative), and decide whether to still do the Ivan downgrade, or switch Sterling to Barkley.

You’ve certainly got options mate. Get back on site nearer next gameweek and hopefully we’ll know more re. Costa.

        • constantine says:

I cant thank u more chins..you have a nice sleep..u have 2 games to spend the energy on, when u’re up.goodnight.

        • constantine says:

and i’m still unable to get the smilie thing.. You’ve got competition here.. laugh

        • EBC says:

Totally agree about the front 8.

However, another thing to consider is Siggy has a tough run coming up so a few weeks on the bench may not be a bad thing.

Also, I’d add Southampton will soon run out of fixtures so I wouldn’t be loading up on them.

        • constantine says:

NBC, i agree with the no soton gang up too. but, not very sure of keeping siggy on the bench..he seems fixture proof this season. i might be wrong though.
