Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are final – starting XI, captain and order of your subs has been decided and there ain’t no turning back. GW8 begins at 12.45pm on Saturday as Man City host Spurs in the early game.

There are then six 3pm games which are –

Arsenal vs Hull
Burnley vs West Ham
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea
Everton vs Aston Villa
Newcastle vs Leicester
Southampton vs Sunderland

Sunday sees two games –

QPR vs Liverpool 1.30pm
Stoke vs Swansea 4.00pm

The gameweek is then concluded on Monday evening as West Brom host Man Utd at 8pm.

  1. any time I use FF fix it suggests pelle as 2nd sub , yesterday morning the transfer recommended was mannone in for begovic . I saved the transfer haha

    • And play mannone over krul, still its an algorhthym as they say so football knowledge essential not just blind faith in a computer programme

      • geoffreys- the FFF dugout bit is awful to be honest. if you want to ask for team selection, right here is the best place to do so. no computer will be better than all of the people here!!
        FFF is great for statistics and is very nearly accurate for price changes, but the transfers and starting line up need to be improved a lot before you can rely on them.
        you need to make your own choices.. mine is telling me to play duff over fabregas and adm…

        • Yeah I really wouldn’t put any stock in the team selection bit on there just yet. Price changes are the main bit it’s good at and useful for. I used a similar MLS one last year prior to me actually knowing much about MLS but it turned out it was basically recommending the equivalent of ‘take Suarez out and replace with Crouch’ etc. As Haz says, better to just come on here for that bit. Plus a computer doesn’t also throw in helpful things like reasoning and basically taking the piss all at the same time! smile

        • It’s insisting that my best move this week is to bring in a Newcastle defender. Strange!

      This has been a week of sell Sterling, sell Costa and people are selling Welbeck now. Why Siggy should be exempt is beyond me! I’m with you mate!

      • trouble is, with ownership at 50%, when he goes big, you lose out big time!

        • Same with Sterling and Costa though.

        • fair point, but costa is getting transferred out due to injury, and sterling due to fatigue and his team around him!

        • Selling Sterling or Costa I get they have European breaks. Tadic does not. Dude is playing for a team with awesome fixtures, he is the main penalty taker (not Pelle), he takes all set pieces now JWP is injured and well he’s freaking magic.

          On the other hand we have Sterling whom I respect greatly but dude himself told his coaches he’s freaking tired, he played 94 minutes today (Liverpool had to run the full mile) and he will play … minutes till Real Madrid have destroy Pool. This Pool will be destroyed by 4-0 or smt.

          I agree mate, but Sterling has a higher ownership than Siggy, but no one said that about selling Sterling.

  4. Anyone else having a screamer in MLS? I’m currently on 22 pts. I’m top of Potty’s Waffle Diner so I need to win this match. Next GW I have the amazing Average as my opponent so if I win this week I’m basically guaranteed the title!

    • Teks, quick question on MLS, after the next 2 games is that it or do we keep our fantasy teams going through the play-offs ?

      • Evening Elle, it goes all the way through to the final. You get a WC soon and loads of extra transfers to help. Becomes a bit of a farce by the end though!

        • Wait, so will the H2H league keep going into the play-offs?

        • That, Tekno, I don’t know mate. Wasn’t in any last season I don’t think. Certainly the main leagues play through to the bitter end so I’m guessing H2H’s may do too? Did wonder why I kept hearing that it’s all nearly sewn up but never actually gave it a proper thought until now!

        • Just had a quick look actually. It’s very unclear. The fixtures for H2H are laid out until GW33. The rules themselves only deal with activity up until GW33. Maybe they scrapped the play-offs then? No idea. We defo ran through the play-offs and final last season as I remember vividly missing a deadline as we had changed the clocks over here and I hadn’t factored that in!

        • I think I’ve seen Ben Jata say they scrapped the play-offs.

        • Cheers Init, i’ve got 43pts at the moment with 3 to play. NYRB losing at home 3-1 don’t help.

        • Yip, Init + me 105 with ADM to play, good week all round.

        • Teks, the words chickens, count + hatch come to mind here, Mitos exceptional at MLS, lets wait till the games are finished.

    • Tekno I think I had 18 when I checked earlier! It’s a strange and poor week all round. I saw my score and expected I had plummeted in the rankings but I actually hadn’t. Got a van full of Galaxy going later so hopefully that might help.

  5. Downing or Henderson ?

    • Basically to bring in Pelle i have to downgrade Sterling and have up to 6.1 to spend.

      • Hard one, couldn’t say. Many are going with Downing though. Can’t say I like Pool at all at the moment, plus they have European fixtures. It’s a nightmare. YOu have to go with your gut.

        • Thanks Raz, i know it’s tough. Have to think long and hard over this one.

        • Downing has MCI next. I’d say Henderson.

  6. 62 points with captain Di Maria and Falcao left to play. For someone that doesn’t have Tadic/Kun I did freaking awesome. Just saying. 😉

    I just went up from 2615 to 2513. With a bit of luck I’m in the top 2 k again tomorrow. And who knows even better.

    Sighs, still the ”what ifs” remain branded in my freaking flesh. It’s painful. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’d be top 5 after tomorrow if only. FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rant:

    • Leading my Mini-League by 50 points with Wildcard at hand. If I play it smart I should be ok.

        • Can call it a damage control week, not having Kun or Tadic. It pains me so much I didn’t go with those transfers, lol. This is the GW of regrets and I”m at 62 points with captain still to play. Like wtf? >.<
