Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 9 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8GW9 is live! The International break is over and what better way to celebrate it than a Europa derby. That’s right perennial European patsies get us going with a lunch time affair as Klopp makes his debut vs a Spurs side who are lurking right outside their coveted Europa qualifying spot. We follow the Normal One’s debut with six 3pm fixtures. The “Special One” Sherwood takes on Average Jose at Stamford Bridge, we also see future English manager Pardew play host to the Hammers. In other action the Toffees look to continue where Arsenal left off as they play host to the recently exposed Manchester “Milli Vanilli” United. The Cherries look to take advantage of a weakened City at the Ethiad, while Raineri continues to f**k with us all with his team sheets as they visit Southampton and the New Giroud, Graziano Pelle. In the last of the 3pm games Big Sam and his latest chewing gum will look to take advantage of a West Brom side who has been leaking in goals recently. We finish our Saturday off with the Gooners in all their early season glory looking to continue their great domestic run versus Watford before they embarrass themselves in the Champions League again.

On Sunday we have one fixture…sort of. The Canaries visit Newcastle in a game that will mostly be ignored by all, and should be.

Monday sees the end of the game-week when the Swans (winless in last 4) look to get back on track against a Stoke side who, after going winless in their first six, have now won their last two.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the FanTeam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Not happy with half my team, any early advice?

59 points With Naughton and Muniesa left to play
    if Muniesa plays

    hope 3 x 2%= 6 BP s for Captain choiceCosta
    3 BP for Vardy
1 BP for Payet and Sanchez each

that will take me to 70
and a hit i took. reduces it to 66

might not be wow. but am happy

      inittowinit says:

Yeah if be happy enough with that. Feels decent. All out on 60 here inc. bonus and no hits which I’m happy with too all things considered. 63 is my usual benchmark but this seasons been odd to judge that by.

      • nishant says:

Yeah this season has been such annoying. wonder things are getting to normality with big names winning back our trust

but must say this is Mahrez and Payet,s season all the way
        they just can’t stop scoring

        • inittowinit says:

Last couple of weeks they kind of have with Kun and Sanchez finally showing. KDB is flourishing, Costa may have turned a corner today. There’s only really Hazard left. Rest is about finding the next level down players in terms of price and yeah you’re right those 2 are essential I think. Well Mahrez has been anyway and probably will be again assuming he stops getting interrupted by international fatigue. I’d put Pelle and Vardy in that next bracket too. All in that’s a fairly solid basis of a team. Just need to figure out who can actually consistently keep clean sheets next!

75 (-4) after bonuses with Butland left to play!

How did you all get on?

63-4 with Butland left to play. ^o^

Happy. Especially since you have to consider I transferred in Costa and van Dijk for a hit. They replaced Kun and Gomez, two of the four problems solved. None of the alternatives in my mind did as well as van Dijk. ^o^

71pts (BPS included) with Gomis left to play…

        • inittowinit says:

Fancy Gomis to get back on track this week and that game feels like a decent enough opportunity. Hope so for the site teams sake anyway. Personally, I hope he gets sent off #confused laugh

        • HL [Dr. Hannibal Lecter] says:

          Sent off 😮 ?!
          Why laugh ?

BTW – > main ML rival got 95pts…
Activated his WC this GW and brought in both Costa & Bony…oh, yes….and had Sanchez as Cpt…
I need to mention that he played w/out Kun from the start of the season, too…
          Rank : Him=43K ; me=124K…
          #gofigure

        • RedVT says:

Bite your tongue Init! I benched Ighalo over him and Hoolahan so I’d have guys still to go after today. Gotta keep hope alive over the weekend if possible! laugh

        • inittowinit says:

Bitten. But will laugh if he does now smile Then cry. Then laugh. I dunno. Got no main rivals with him so hoping he nails it. Hate having no players left with 2 days to go, takes the air out of the balloon. Knew this was coming when I looked at the games last week. I’ve been guilty of actually doing transfers in the past based upon having players left to keep the interest up. I’ve even done the FanTeam 5-a-side Swans v Stoke thing just to keep me interested!

        • RedVT says:

Haha, I think about that stuff too Init and love having Sunday and Monday players if possible. Nothing better than a Monday captain pick that saves your ass (I’m looking at you Benteke week 2 !!).

I actually almost put the armband on Gomis just for that reason but I chickened out. In hindsight it couldn’t have been much worse than captain 4 points (total) Pelle though!

67 (-4) with Butland to play.

Annoyed I went with Pelle rather than Bony/Costa, but with that in mind it’s a good score.

65(-8) with Gomis and Naughton left. KDB and Pelle disappointed me, as I transferred them in. sad

      TheDreamers says:

78 (-4) all done. Could even have been better but bottled the Costa captain call. Cant complain too much though

    • 82.7

No point in hiding, I guess… 44 (-4) with Butland and Gomis to go.

I’m still happy with my team long term, but days like today are hard. Had Pelle, Martial, and KdB, their teams score a combined 10 goals and I get one goal and one assist. Just great.

      • inittowinit says:

Good man Machos. It happens. Most go off and hide when it does. It is what it is, always next week mate. Gomis could yet make it a decent week. Here’s hoping for you.

      • RedVT says:

A busted Pelle captain pick has me pretty low scoring too this week Machos. I’m on 50 (-4) with Whittaker, Hoolahan, and Gomis to go.

Can’t get it right every week, and during the start of the season I would have bitten your hand off for a 50+ gameweek, so I’ll take it. We’ve still some players to go yet so who knows how it’ll end up.

    Bunny says:

I need some serious mental help. Decided to bring Hazard in this week, don’t have Sanchez. Plus I had Vardy on my bench. Should i get rid of Hazard after 1 week. Why didn’t he play. I did have C on Costa and I’ve kept Stirling.
What do you think about Hazard, surely he will come good?
