Well, I bought Costa at the start of the season for 10.5. Sold him at 11.1 this past week and netted 10.8 on it. I was worried it would cost me to sell him and buy him back, but with him not playing today he could very well go down from 10.9 to 10.8. Looks like I’ll break even, and could even get him for cheaper than I sold him if he drops more than once this week. I guess that’s one thing lucky for me this week!

43 points going into the 4 o’clock game with ADM + Fab, then Guzan to play on Monday.

Would be happy with 50 points in the end to be honest but I have no idea what to do with my team going forward…Midfield template is collapsing and i’m not sure who to bring in – Sanchez, Hazard, Silva, Barkley etc…

I was thinking about Sanchez in for Sterling, and then Barkley in for Siggy if his injury turns serious. Would leave me with:

      Siggy, Fab, Sanchez, Downing
      Aguero, Costa, Pelle

which is ok for the coming weeks. Walcott might be an option for Sanchez but I’m not confident bringing him in just yet

      • Mr Bean says:

Sanchez has just come out of nowhere, but both this weekends goals were put on a plate for him and Arsenal look far from fantastic at the moment.

Because i feel Aguero is too expensive at the moment, I would like:

        ADM, Hazard, Walcott, Siggy Silva
        Costa, Pelle

Eriksen, Tadic, Chadli, Downing are all in the points but they just don’t cut the mustard for me.

        • Pippin says:

Why Hazard? Hasn’t convinced for me yet, and Silva is a potentially frustrating option. At least Kun will score most weeks (based on form, history). I like your reasoning though. Agree re Sanchez- Arsenal’s fixtures are really good though and I feel like I’m overlooking them despite their poor form at the moment

Downing is not ideal but I like his fixtures and how WHam play right now so I want to give him a good chance.

Good moves if you can afford it? Must be tight?

Gives you flexibility to bring in Di Maria in a couple of weeks too.

What a fantastic result for Newcastle. Spurs left with egg on their faces again!

As it stands now Baines is set for 2BPS, lol. Meaning I will have 37 points with Di Maria and Fabregas left to play… If only I pass the 40 mark this GW, lol.

    No Costa eh?

Oh well, at least i have the points machine Obertan to come off the bench…

Haven’t checked yet, but i imagine he scored and assisted both Newcastle goals…

Ok. He’s shite. Any advice on a replacement? Can i do better than Boyd for the money?

      Pippin says:

This is a player who you never really use right? Boyd or perhaps Cork/Wanyama? There are no obvious brilliant options sub 4.5m this season I don’t think. My tip would be trying to ensure your guy is nailed on. I went for Quinn of Hull a few weeks back (3 assists in opening 5 games) and he’s not played since. He’ll likely be there until I eventually Wildcard…

      • chins says:

        Cheers Pippin.

Got 2 FTs burning a hole in my pocket! Thought i might as well ask. Might go Boyd, although Costa is still a worry.

And…. Siggy might be out. And… I want Wally in my team….

2 FTs really aren’t enough! smile
