And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.

A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.

Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

    • Sorry mate, but I told you that your idea for 1st names/surnames starting ‘s’ was unacceptable. Therefore your team has been removed from my league. You should have either gone surnames ‘s’ or Aguero, Bailey, Coleman etc. If you would like to make a fresh team, or take the hits so that your team conforms to a proper rule, then you’re welcome to join for GW2 if you wish. I have to maintain some degree of parity across the league for all managers.

      • Bit harsh that SZ. You have to have a bit of leniency, give a top regular around here a bit of leeway. Don’t think anyone in your league would mind.

        • I’ve had complaints already Elle, he’s a noob to the concept so I’ve given him a couple of choices to fix it, no problem. Ask midnightrunner, he had Dier by error for a month & it was 6 or 7 transfers to balance the books, I just want a level playing field so we can all have fun, hope you understand.

        • AT, lol – but some have been playing it for years & take it a tad seriously. I’m a bit between a rock & a hard place here. Easiest way out is for Pancho to make 5 transfers & we can move along, no harm done.

        • Supposed to be a fun league cookie, not that I’m having much today.

        • cookie, normally Ivan & I check everyone’s playing the game properly after GW3 or 4 & the regulars know the punishments & just fix it: either burn a wildcard or take the hits. I should have written an article, might have avoided this, sigh.

    • When did Aurier learn to put such a cross? Now it will be difficult for Trippier to get straight entry and both will be rotated by Poch.
