And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.

A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.

Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

  1. OMG I sold Ruben Neves last minute for schrulle. He definitely came back to haunt me

  2. 31 points from 7 is a little disappointing.

  3. Did anyone actually have AWB in their starting eleven?

  4. Guys why did Hamer start for Hud?

    • He’s a decent goalkeeper with experience. Obviously looked the better choice to Wagner.

Unclear if he’ll stay in though.

    • Rumour has it that Lossl has being carrying a slight knock since returning to training from the world cup.Not sure how legit this is but going by Hamers performance yesterday i can seen Lossl coming back into the team very soon.

      • Glad you saw this Brooky. Cheers for that.

What you think this season then? I’m a bit worried for you.

        • Very worried myself Gp.Same problems creating chances which dont seem to have been addressed.Pritchard was our best player in the first half getting into some great positions with little or no support and was then subbed at half time which was baffling !We were very reluctant to commit players going forward and only started playing a bit of decent football midway through the second half when Wagner brought a new winger on and changed formation but by then it was too late. Also couldnt understand why he didnt start Depoitre over Mounie after the torrid time he gave Chelseas defence at the end of last season.Early days yet i guess.

        • Thanks for sharing.

Lack of goals is the biggest concern in this division, and you were close last season. I hope I’m proved wrong.

    • Thanks for that guys.

  5. Morning all,

Anyone made a transfer yet? smile

    • Was considering a knee jerk Neves!!

      • Twitter makes it sound like he had a good game.

        • Yeah, he was great! Great free kick and a great cross for the assist… He’s Wolves’ best player, orchestrates the whole thing, 5m isn’t bad for such a player… If Wolves keep on scoring goals expect Neves to tick along nicely… Although remains to be seen whether Jota can outscore him, although he’s of course 1.5m more expensive… Neves is a shrewd pick I reckon!

      • On the basis of last night I think he’s a better bet than Jota, especially given the 1.5m price difference. Jota was supposed to be on the left of the front 3 but looked a bit lost for positioning and often just ended up standing next to Johnny on the left wing.

        • Yeah, although he had good pressure on Jags for the first goal, but other than that didn’t seem to be much of a threat, Neves was great! But of course it was just one game.

        • We will see on Neves. Was always going to happen one of his few goals would come in the first week

        • Neves had 23 more touches than anyone on the pitch, he was everywhere.
I’ll consider the Jota to Neves move, as it frees some cash.

      • Who isn’t!
I am waiting for today’s games before bringing him in for Cairney (FUL).

        • I’m considering bringing him in for Cairney myself.

        • You have now made to consider him for Jota, that 1.5m in the bank could prove very useful soon when the season unfolds smile

        • Neves will most likely be 5.1m come GW2… If he delivers again in GW2 his price is gonna rocket…

        • Yup exact same move!! Glad I’m not alone in my thinking!

        • Fffix have him flagged to rise tonight – obviously does depend on how much the algorithms have changed since last season. Tempting to release 1.5m.
