Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.
A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.
Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

Thanks Ivan, I have Cedric and Wan-Bissaka seeing that it looks there was no chance that Wan-Bissaka was going to get in anyway, I was hoping Cedric started. Now I need him to concede a goal.
Hah, the way things started in this opening round Cedric is due a brace 😆
Or Vestergaard pls
Depending on how TAA does is it worth a HIT for Shaw (price rise) both worry me for rotation when the likes of Lovern return and all the MTD players.
I have Pereira (LEI) as my other DEF and Tomkins (CRY), Pereira plays behind the FWD’s so I like him as something different.
Good shout Pereira is top of my watch list…will probably take Shaw’s place in my team! Either that or Shaw and Peltier to Schlupp and maybe Boly
I say it is probably not. 3 of the next 4 are away and their home game is Spurs. On top of Shaw being at risk of losing his spot at any moment.
Lovren’s return will have no impact on TAA
Of course it will, who doesn’t benefit from having Lovren play next to him?
I had Gomez last season in my team, Klopp said a couple of times how good he was, then he didn’t play the next game!
I think the new GK will help a lot, but I do wonder why TAA plays all the time in the Champs League and is rotated in the Prem, it is similar to Danilo (MCY) he’s a fantastic player according to Pep he’s here to play in the “big” games, yet he doesn’t play in the Prem and doesn’t play in the Champs League, so what are these “big games” then?
I can see somebody losing out to Lovern when he is match fit though.
I should be ok with TAA and I have a cover with Wan-Bass (CRY) and Peltier (CAR) I just hope they keep their places, Peltier should be fine as (CAR) will be tough to beat at home other than against the top teams, he hasn’t received much criticism or the goals and was seemingly seen in a good positive light.
I would say no, it’s flash in the pan stuff with Shaw. 1 goal and people think he’s the new Alonso.
I have just done Cairney > Neves it’s a no-brainer.
I have Zambo Anguissa (FUL) he is worth keeping an eye on.
I’m keeping Cairney as I want to bring in KDB and Auba in next week. Plus Wolves next fixtures aren’t fantastic
Fulhams next fixtures aren’t fantastic either, as mentioned I have Zambo Anguissa (£4.5m) that cost £22.3m from Marseille, ok he may not score many goals, depends on how far up he plays but for that price he must be starting every single game.
Anguissa is a cdm
Yes, but a £4.5m MID that will surely play every GW.
Neves, Shaw and Wan-Bissaka will rise tonight according to fix. Not sure if any of the price change sites can be trusted in the first few GWs, but they seem to be sure of it based on how they phrased it.
I have brought in Neves he’s too good to miss especially if you need a £5m MID that plays and is very good as it appears he is, it is a real kicker when you want to bring in a player and you are £100k short.
I have Wan-Bissaka already if he continues to play he’s going to be valuable on the bench as cover and if he keeps playing and his price keeps rising he could be sold off for a profit in the future.
If you need a £5m MID and £4m DEF you can rely upon on, and you can get them in for a FT it’s a no-brainer imo.
So here’s my team read for gw2. My worry is that Richarlison doesn’t start. I was thing on doing Ralls to neves at the end of today for the price jump
I think we finish GW1 better, unless of course you’re mystic meg in drag & can predict injuries.
I have a similar team but I’m playing Ralls instead of Luiz (Luiz first on the bench).
I don’t think Ralls to Neves is worth it but I do have my doubts about Ralls.
I regret not getting Fraser but figured Ralls had better fixtures to start.
I’m getting worried now, from The Guardian “Liverpool’s subs’ bench for their last game of last season: Mignolet, Clyne, Klavan, Moreno, a half-fit Lallana, Can, Solanke. Liverpool’s subs’ bench today: Karius, Clyne, Fabinho, Henderson, Sturridge, a fully-fit Lallana, Shaqiri. That’s a significant upgrade, is it not?” And there’s Ox & others still to come – yipes! Jose, shut up & coach. NOW.
