Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.

A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.

Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

Apparently looks like (Sane/Sterling) – (Aguero/Jesus) – (Mahrez/Bilva) and (Gundogan/Dilva) – thats how PEP will rotate…KDB probably will get occasional rest based on scoreline.

Mahrez with B.silva?. B.Silva played in midfield didn’t he?.

      • GoalMachine says:

If KDB starts (which is likely and may not play the full match), then I think either Mahrez or Gundogan will be sacrificed. PEP would like to bring Sterling/KDB to 100% as quickly as possible….Sterling got nearly full match today….KDB should get one…..PEP has the advantage of playing next 6 promoted/bottom of the season teams….so he can probably afford to drop Gundo and start all attackers….or play safe with Gundo – Fernandinho double pivot with KDB in front of them behind Aguero.

KDB didn’t look fantastic in his cameo for me. Think he’ll start next week ?

      • GoalMachine says:

That is exactly the reason he should start…to get back to rhythm and break the defence…and HUD match is easy defensively, but difficult offensively as they will sit deep……MCI scored 2-1 and 0-0 last season.

So which was the most impressive team out of Liverpool or City. City had the toughest job,but watching Liverpool was really impressive and I would still back them to beat City.

I think a draw will be a fair score. Both teams have excellent attack….strong midfield, excellent LB…..City has a better RB, whereas Pool has VVD….I can’t differentiate much. I would still put City ahead because City has more creators….in Pool, if you stop the supply of Keita/Hendo/Milner, the front 3 will be half blunt and they have to come deep and go up……whereas in City, leaving Aguero, almost everyone comes deep and starts to go up.

86 … Best starting week ive ever had i think. Very happy could have been better if Biss was playing instead of Bailey, but let’s be honest … who would have done that

    Howd everyone do ?

Seeing some of the impressive scores is bloody depressing!!

A bang average 75 points for me… meh… all the little decisions that could have meant a better score; Firmino over Mane, Cairney over Neves and Luiz over Shaw and ‘playing it safe’ with Mahrez over Bilva All 50/50 I could have went the other way and could have been on 110 points .., but I’m not!

Think Bobby v mane I’m ok with, another day and it could be the other way round, not convinced by Shaw or Luiz so that’s fine, think I’ll be bringing in Neves for Cairney and on the fence on Mahrez v Bilva. Obi wan would have always been on my bench so I’m fine with that!

On to GW2 and hoping for better things!
