Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. And welcome back indeed, welcome to the start of yet another long season, welcome to another 38 weeks of joy, despair, trials, tribulations and challenges. We hope that you will once again enjoy joining us as we go through all the emotions together, share our thoughts and experiences, rejoice when our players score points, commiserate when they don’t, cry when they come off after 59 minutes and laugh when they concede in the last minute. Or something to that effect anyway.
GW1 sees us kick off with a Friday night game as the Champions of Europe host newly promoted Norwich at home. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Salah captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway.
Champions Man City then get the first Saturday of the season going as they visit West Ham in the early kick off at 12.30pm.
In perhaps a sign of things to come our 3pm games are not only few but are also littered with the already seemingly cast aside ‘less interesting’ teams. Apologies to Bournemouth & Sheffield United, Burnley & Southampton, Palace & Everton and Watford & Brighton but that’s how it seems.
Champions League runners up Spurs host newly promoted Villa at home in the late KO at 5.30pm. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Kane captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway….
Leicester and Wolves begin (share) our first Sunday with an intriguing encounter at 2pm, while Newcastle fans will be protesting against Arsenal at the same time. Well ok, not protesting Arsenal, protesting Ashley, but you know what we mean…
A clash of the old titans sees GW1 out as Chelsea visit Old Trafford at 4pm.
The games in full…
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 1 from all at FF247!

Bugger.. in my slightly blurry no glasses state accidently hit leave league not view standings on our regulars league ive rejoined again now but now shows blank. will it catch up on itself next week?
It will indeed
Thanks Kop
I have to say, it is very odd how prominent the “leave league” button is on the official fpl website, and quite at odds with my attempts to leave anything else on any other website. For example, leaving amazon prime just before the 1 month free trial took about 7 button clicks and multiple “yes I’m sure”s.
hahaha. very true
Morning all, is everyone happy with there start so far?
Def feels a lot calmer on here today :hippo:
I didn’t catch any of the game or highlights yet, how did Robbo, TAA and VVD compare?
I’d have Friday night match every week!
They’re all good.
Cheers GP, AB and Kop.
I’ll be sticking with Robbo and TAA for a few weeks anyway. (Possibly consider moving one if Alison is our for more than 4 weeks)
Has anyone got a link for good highlights? I tried a couple of YouTube videos and they are so badly edited it can’t face watching :dash:
Robbo didn’t do much, TAA had a really great assist. The goal from VVD was more bad defence than a great goal.
From a defending point of view it was pretty terrible, norwich had a few great chances.
Think TAA looked better than robbo. VVD is always good but he won’t be getting those free goals every week…
TAA was caught out of position a number of times but that’s nothing new. Offensively he looked threatening but that’s nothing new!
All did their jobs Rich. Robbo did’nt get forward as much as Trent but he did have Origi infront of him on that left hand side. Origi kept losing possession throughout the game infact losing the ball 4 times on the bounce one of which led to Pukkis’ goal.
5 shots on target. The most by a visiting side at Anfield in 18 months.
So who else was daft enough not to captain Salah?!
All aboard the wait for Sterling to hopefully not blank!
Yup I’m on that boat
Morning guys! Does anyone know a good fpl price predictor site? Cheers
GW1 isn’t over and you’re worried about price changes?
I’ve always looked at http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk/ though it takes a week or two usually to get to the beat.
Even if one’s not planning a move it’s always of some interest to see which way the wind’s blowing.
Someone, somewhere, will have taken a hit to bring in Sane.
Morning all looking fwd to all the games today & the atmosphere in the pub should be a good day
