Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. And welcome back indeed, welcome to the start of yet another long season, welcome to another 38 weeks of joy, despair, trials, tribulations and challenges. We hope that you will once again enjoy joining us as we go through all the emotions together, share our thoughts and experiences, rejoice when our players score points, commiserate when they don’t, cry when they come off after 59 minutes and laugh when they concede in the last minute. Or something to that effect anyway.

GW1 sees us kick off with a Friday night game as the Champions of Europe host newly promoted Norwich at home. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Salah captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway.

Champions Man City then get the first Saturday of the season going as they visit West Ham in the early kick off at 12.30pm.

In perhaps a sign of things to come our 3pm games are not only few but are also littered with the already seemingly cast aside ‘less interesting’ teams. Apologies to Bournemouth & Sheffield United, Burnley & Southampton, Palace & Everton and Watford & Brighton but that’s how it seems.

Champions League runners up Spurs host newly promoted Villa at home in the late KO at 5.30pm. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Kane captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway….

Leicester and Wolves begin (share) our first Sunday with an intriguing encounter at 2pm, while Newcastle fans will be protesting against Arsenal at the same time. Well ok, not protesting Arsenal, protesting Ashley, but you know what we mean…

A clash of the old titans sees GW1 out as Chelsea visit Old Trafford at 4pm.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 1 from all at FF247!

    Cheers mates,

Been following the 247 site, articles and discussion for a year now and what a pleasure (and worth the while pointwise) it has been, so thank you very much for that :worthy:
I think its time for me to get into the action and get my hands dirty, so here it goes.
Had a good start with 37 points, but are a bit worried not having any Spurs offensive cover. I subbed Moura last minute, but come to think of it he might turn out to be great value. Is he the best offensive Spurs option for the first few weeks – besides Kane The Expensive of course smile ?

Nice team man, you have the same opening score as me, same about the cs been lost. If Walker-p plays its better then nothing with your spurs issue might get an assist or even the cs. ali and Eriksson are better long term spurs players or son when hes back.

      • Gin For The Win says:

Thanks, Gavy. Might be a good idea to wait for Son to return. Im not to keen on Eriksen and Ali, despite being a dane should sway me towards Erik. But who knows where he will play in a month – and will Poch start preparing for at future without him.

Nice start to the season there! Personally can’t see the point in getting Moura now, not with city next and Son due back.
