Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. And welcome back indeed, welcome to the start of yet another long season, welcome to another 38 weeks of joy, despair, trials, tribulations and challenges. We hope that you will once again enjoy joining us as we go through all the emotions together, share our thoughts and experiences, rejoice when our players score points, commiserate when they don’t, cry when they come off after 59 minutes and laugh when they concede in the last minute. Or something to that effect anyway.
GW1 sees us kick off with a Friday night game as the Champions of Europe host newly promoted Norwich at home. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Salah captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway.
Champions Man City then get the first Saturday of the season going as they visit West Ham in the early kick off at 12.30pm.
In perhaps a sign of things to come our 3pm games are not only few but are also littered with the already seemingly cast aside ‘less interesting’ teams. Apologies to Bournemouth & Sheffield United, Burnley & Southampton, Palace & Everton and Watford & Brighton but that’s how it seems.
Champions League runners up Spurs host newly promoted Villa at home in the late KO at 5.30pm. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Kane captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway….
Leicester and Wolves begin (share) our first Sunday with an intriguing encounter at 2pm, while Newcastle fans will be protesting against Arsenal at the same time. Well ok, not protesting Arsenal, protesting Ashley, but you know what we mean…
A clash of the old titans sees GW1 out as Chelsea visit Old Trafford at 4pm.
The games in full…

So I guess double Bournemouth attack of Wilson and Fraser was not needed. Ah well might as well give them another week
Should always have been the plan Smash.
Yeah kind of was I think anyway
So disapointed in Wood. 3 goals from Burnley and he wasnt involved in any of them….
Yeah that was surprising to me
They could both hit double digits next week, I’ll keep them next week and then possibly ditch one ahead of the city game
Yeah will see who are the better options by then hopefully
You have them already:Barnes, Pukki, Sharp… not sure about the midfielders though
Yeah well I won’t be replacing Wilson for any of them
Yes, I honestly thought those 2 and Fraser would smash it (no pun intended) today.
Same as me Smash. Will prob keep both until city and most likely keep Wilson of the two. not sure on the fraser replacement though.
Some teams do not change e.g Southampton – still the same…they can’t keep balls on target.
I had them to beat Burnley on Super 6.
Not a bad start to the season but Kane could do some damage
I am on 77 after bp. A kane goal and assist would do the job nicely for me.
Boom!
McGinn
Walker-Peters seems to be playing high upfield. That’s good.
He’s lost his CS though, that’s bad.
Who in the site team voted McGinn !
They copied me….
:drinks:
What a call mate!
Superb stuff!
Kudos GP
hilarious calle mate :good:
Is that because hers Scottish
No it’s because he is a very good player. Good Championship last season and then pre-season was the same.
I know GP I know I watched him a few times just winding you up mate good call
He’s not my type of Scottish (if you get my meaning) :buba:
:big-lol:
There were some who didn’t even know who he played for!
It’s lucky we’ve got a good scouting network!
First ones we sent out found Ceballos :dash:
Hmmm…
eheheh
May be worth picking him up with AV’s good match ups.
Good performance from Tyrone Mings too
McGinn. Hell yeahh
