Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. Friday gets the action started with one fixture when Villa play host to whatever Covid-free players Newcastle can spare. One can only assume that the game was played by itself so it wouldn’t infect any of the other fixtures.
Oh well, scrap that… We begin with Saturday bringing us four responsible fixtures. Burnley welcomes in the struggling Toffees, City continues their scoring revenge tour when they likely pulverise Fulham. The Hammers look to stop Bruno, just Bruno really. Then in the final match up of the day we see Chelsea tangle with Leeds.
Sunday gives four more encounters. It kicks off with a West Brom and Palace snoozer. That is followed by last place Sheffield Utd who are at the very least consistent unlike their counterparts Leicester, who win three and then lose two, win three and then lose two. First place Spurs versus fourteenth place Arsenal is the third fixture of the day, fourteenth place Arsenal, sorry just had to say that again, hehehe. Anyway, Liverpool battle it out with Wolves in the last game of the day.
The gameweek might be brought to a close on Monday when Brighton sees Southampton (Ole’s heroes) come in.

With the form and value and seemingly consistent enough returns for their price of Bamford, Adams, Wilson etc is this the end of the expensive striker this year?
Especially as that forward line would allow your captain to always come from KdB, Bruno, Salah etc.
Let’s see how Kane goes. He loves December right? He’s the only thing preventing me from a cheap front 3 though.
I was against it initially because I felt it was better for team structure as it would make it easier to switch between expensive strikers (mainly Aguero) and only having to use one transfer. Not sure when Aguero will be ready again. Not convinced by Vardy currently so it only leaves Kane.
I’m being won over by the cheap options but the question is if they can sustain their value.
I’ll be shipping vardy if he blanks tomorrow. One of the names above would come in, I’d be thinking Wilson as hes now due a dgw.
At least one of the “big” guys will deliver enough points on a given week to make us think he is a must have, but yes, the cheaper selections will allow much more flexibility with the Mids.

I’m keeping Vardy one more week (grudgingly) and then will likely have Bamford, Adams & Wilson.
Yeah all true. A lot depends on how Vardy does today for me
Giroud might be an option too. He’s on fire
Just have to bear in mind Chelsea’s upcoming fixture congestion and their array of attacking options, so rotation may be a particular issue.

Having 4 non-players, I decided to try something stupid. Had Chilwell & Zouma so I thought what the hell just bring in James. 3at the back from Chelsea vs Leeds. If not for Bamford goal I would have cleaned up, but I’m not complaining with a goal & an assist. Now I have to decide what to do next GW. Would like to find a way to get Salah & finding the cash to do so will be an adventure. Could dump Kane depending on his haul tomorrow, It’s been a weird season so far.

Thoughts on whether to try and bring in Salah or not and if so how? 1FT 0.3ITB.
Easiest way I see is if you are willing to sacrifice Vardy and maybe get Bamford.
Then lose Grealish/Son for Salah
