Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. Friday gets the action started with one fixture when Villa play host to whatever Covid-free players Newcastle can spare. One can only assume that the game was played by itself so it wouldn’t infect any of the other fixtures.
Oh well, scrap that… We begin with Saturday bringing us four responsible fixtures. Burnley welcomes in the struggling Toffees, City continues their scoring revenge tour when they likely pulverise Fulham. The Hammers look to stop Bruno, just Bruno really. Then in the final match up of the day we see Chelsea tangle with Leeds.
Sunday gives four more encounters. It kicks off with a West Brom and Palace snoozer. That is followed by last place Sheffield Utd who are at the very least consistent unlike their counterparts Leicester, who win three and then lose two, win three and then lose two. First place Spurs versus fourteenth place Arsenal is the third fixture of the day, fourteenth place Arsenal, sorry just had to say that again, hehehe. Anyway, Liverpool battle it out with Wolves in the last game of the day.
The gameweek might be brought to a close on Monday when Brighton sees Southampton (Ole’s heroes) come in.
The games in full…

Hi guys
This is giving me a right headache, trying to bring in Salah without loosing the big guys.
4ph – Vardy to Bamford + Bruno to Salah
Gw 13 – Grealish to Bruno + Jota to JWP 4ph
Do you have a better option? Do nothing?
Thanks!
I don’t like taking a hit for a one week move to swap Bruno out and in. Personally I think I’ll be going without Salah as bringing him in means tearing the team apart.
Think you are right. Too much craziness
Heard the other day FIFA said leagues don’t actually have to use VAR so do we think the Prem might scrap it next season? Or just stick with it and try and change some of the rules?
Please oh please just scrap it!
I doubt they will!
Unfortunately I can’t see them u-turning on it now. It’s a total mess though. Goal line technology can stay, but they need to just get rid of everything else. Football fans will always blame the ref. I preferred it when that was a bloke on the pitch not someone hidden away in a room somewhere.
I agree with you Banjo. I don’t see them backing out now and honestly VAR is working. It’s the gobshites operating it that aren’t. I have heard a few calls for VAR to only be used for offsides and to just let the ref decide cards and penalties. Possibly just send the ref to the TV and let him decide there. VAR can just stay quiet the rest of the time.
Lamptey concedes two and McCarthy gets booked. My only two players for tonight’s game. Might as well have kept Martinez, watch him haul one cs after another now. :dash:
Guys, I’ve got 2FT and 2.3m. I’m planning on getting Salah this week funded by Cancelo to Dallas.
Plan was then to do Kane and Jota to Bamford and KDB next week.
Problem is that I have the EXACT funds to do this.
So id need to get salah tonight?
If Bamford rises before the end of the week the plan is ruined anyway…
Would you go for a cheaper Dallas alternative?
Or do Kane to Bamford this week instead of Cancelo to Dallas?
Who are you planning to sell other than Cancelo?
Son
No way I would sell both Son and Kane. Son is playing CP and could get more points than Salah.
It is really challenging. As you can see #175 above I was also trying to bring in Salah…but doesn’t seem worth it. Will be hiding in the basement for sure on Sunday.
Salah’s got some cracking fixtures coming up though.
Bees, absolutely spot on. CP had just 1 CS so far and I doubt their second one will be when they face mighty Spurs
Ah so true
To balance the argument on Son.he’s prob massively over performing It’s now just 2 shots in the box in the last 5 gameweeks, he had 0 in Gameweek 11.
0.03xG this week.
Still managed 6ppm in the last 5 Gameweeks!
Ended the week on 67 points with only 9 players so I guess I can’t be too disgruntled. My H2H in the ff247 league played a blinder with 97!
Hi Igy,
If you are Young Ones FC then that was me.
Not much you can do when 9 of my players either scored, assisted and / or scored.
Jamie
Oops clean sheet.
Jamie
Well played Jamie! I went through the weekend thinking if my Ziyech and Chilwell do better than your Zouma and Werner I’ve got a chance! Then every player for you delivered! So close to the 100, well done mate! I think that bumps me from 1st to about 4th!
Thanks Igy.
The head to head leagues are not everyone’s cup of tea but I enjoy it, check my opponent’s team and try my best.
Yes your defeat brought slightly back to the chasing pack.
Jamie
This Salah obsession ,hallucination ,imminent bandwagon is a just a bad next bandwagon. Folks are prepared to disassemble their teams just for the sake to bring someone who hardly register more than a goal in a game. Be sensible and remember that there is a life after CW 12. Do not be a momentum idiot
I’m not sure you can call Salah a bad next bandwagon or that anyone who is buying him is a momentum idiot!!
Perhaps people see his ability to pick up points with relative ease, throw in the opposition (who were lucky to concede just twice at the weekend) his historical performances and his potentially rank damaging ability given that he will be highly captained and they’ve came to a logical conclusion that being proactive is sometimes the source of a positive outcome in FPL?
The Salah slayer strikes again……
