Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. Friday gets the action started with one fixture when Villa play host to whatever Covid-free players Newcastle can spare. One can only assume that the game was played by itself so it wouldn’t infect any of the other fixtures.
Oh well, scrap that… We begin with Saturday bringing us four responsible fixtures. Burnley welcomes in the struggling Toffees, City continues their scoring revenge tour when they likely pulverise Fulham. The Hammers look to stop Bruno, just Bruno really. Then in the final match up of the day we see Chelsea tangle with Leeds.
Sunday gives four more encounters. It kicks off with a West Brom and Palace snoozer. That is followed by last place Sheffield Utd who are at the very least consistent unlike their counterparts Leicester, who win three and then lose two, win three and then lose two. First place Spurs versus fourteenth place Arsenal is the third fixture of the day, fourteenth place Arsenal, sorry just had to say that again, hehehe. Anyway, Liverpool battle it out with Wolves in the last game of the day.
The gameweek might be brought to a close on Monday when Brighton sees Southampton (Ole’s heroes) come in.
The games in full…

Ok gang, (12.3) million dollar question. Would you do Grealish & Werner > Salah & Brewster for a -4? Would mean a locked in 3-5-2 with DCL & Bamford up top. And prob more -4s to address lack of bench in coming weeks. What say you all?
Can’t you just swap Fernandes for Salah and get someone a bit better than Brewster? Might as well get a playing striker and try to pay off the -4 sooner rather than never.
That’s the way I’m thinking of doing it, initially – Fernandes can come back in a week or two by some sleight of hand I haven’t quite worked out yet.
Re the bench, see my last comment about not being as screwed by that as perhaps we think we are.
Cheers Kralin, it’s that “sleight of hand I haven’t quite worked out yet” that makes me nervous! I won’t have any other semi-expensive fodder to lose anymore. It is tempting though with Bruno up against City this week. I’ll play around, thanks for the input.
Think that’s a solid move as long as brewster stays on the bench. You’ll have more or less the best possible midfield!
+1
Cheers fellas. Will be obsessing over it for the next few days I think 😉
Best possible midfield with jwp? You joking right? Lol.
Kane -> Wilson
Jota-> Salah
AWB-> KWP
For a -8hit
Reasonable risk ?? Have just 0.5m in bank
Seems a lot to get Salah in to me
+1. Feels thin at 5th mid and 2nd/3rd fwds after those moves.
Will suggest a better way ??
If you check the volume of games over the next week or so – and given Man U’s game tonight, and Liverpool being able to have a breather tomorrow – then Fernandes to Salah doesn’t seem the cry for help that some may (perhaps correctly) interpret it as.
I’m thinking of doing it that way, then throwing Kane over next week to get either Son or Fernandes back. I haven’t really scanned the fixtures. Or I may keep Kane (I would probably have thrown Kane over this week but for the Jiminez injury). Or someone else may emerge.
I’m also thinking injuries are going to creep in over the next fortnight and sometimes they make this sort of decision much easier.
I’m doing that Kralin. The first bit anyway.
+1…been going back and forth about Salah.
It is Bruno for Salah and Vardy for Bamford or Wilson…can’t for the life of me figure out which one to get.
Any advice?
Here come some blanks and doubles.
Any word on the Newcastle fixture? If I want to get Salah and Wilson I probably can’t wait too long
They opened the training ground for the first time today but only after admitting a ‘significant’ increase in positive cases. Looks doubtful to me.
Even opening the training ground Newcastle will I’d expect to be well off the pace even if game goes ahead. Players have had Covid and not been training I’d avoid
Anyone wanna talk me out of Jota & Vardy to Salah & Bamford for a hit?
Salah (&Jota) have Fulham, Palace, WBA and Newcastle in the next 5 games. Bamford has W.Ham, Newcastle, Burnley and WBA.
So, NO, I’m not going to talk you out of it :rofl:
Cheers Raffles. Three hits in three weeks that’ll be :excited:
