Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. Our game-week kicks off Saturday lunchtime as Leicester take the shortish route to battle Stoke at the Britannia. Following on are four 3pm matches which are four of the most boring collection of top flight matches in living history as Huddersfield host West Brom, Bournemouth travel to Newcastle, Southampton ‘entertain’ Burnley and Swansea welcome Brighton. Fortunately the Premier League have arranged for Liverpool to thump West Ham in the evening kick off in an attempt to wake us from our coma. The fun is all on Sunday – first up Crystal Palace are the latest team to visit Wembley. Sadly for the Eagles they get to play Spurs rather than fight for a trophy, but they can dream. Next up Arsenal travel to the Etihad for their annual spanking before Jose drives and parks his bus at his old home as Chelsea try and break through the United wall. Oh and Richarlison gets the perfect opportunity to appease his fans and owners as he and his fellow Hornets go to Goodison.

  1. Zaha or Richarlison for next transfer?

    • On the basis that I have Zaha pencilled in to replace Richarlison for GW’s 14 & 15 I’d suggest him from the get go.

      • Thanks. Would you go sacrifice Mee for Dunk (or another 4.4 def) to afford him? Assuming a WC?

      • Or Francis instead of Daniels…

        • Francis for Daniels makes more sense. If it was the other I guess you could still cover Burnley with Pope but Dunk would need rotating out in 13, 15 & 17.

      • Thanks mate. Yeah will probably take your advice and do Francis.
        Starting the tinkering early!

  2. Diouf or Murray as a budget striker? And which midfielder for up to 9.0?
Wouldn’t mind Richarlison but already have Doucoure (would doubling up be silly?) Also have Salah, Sterling and Mooy. Is Grob still hot stuff?

    • Is this on a WC or just regular transfers?

    • Diouf given the fixtures I suppose but wouldn’t be overly enthusiastic about it! Do you have to?!

      • Currently have Obiang, Hegazi and mbemba who are doing more harm than good all purchased to enable others but now need to get rid of them as am forever fielding less than 11! Vardy seems to be the best place to raise the funds!

        • Yeah but don’t go making a bad situation worse 😉 Only Mbemba didn’t play for you this week. Guess you move Vardy along this week then if that’s what you really want to do. You can then gradually improve the others. Jumping straight in with a 9.0 mid doesn’t seem to help the situation any though?

      • Team

        • Haha, what is it with you and him? You got so excited when he started on Saturday laugh

        • Like him as a better shout than Diouf tbf.

        • He’s a bloody good differential with a decent run of fixtures. Wasn’t on the radar at all. Thanks Cookie.

      • Ahh yes I wasn’t very clear there, I will have 9.0 but will not be using it all on the Obiang replacement. I will bank some for the Mbembe and Vardy upgrades

        • Not Vardy I meant Mbemba and Hegazi upgrades

        • Just about to eat mate but will respond later. Hopefully somebody else can pitch in and help in the meantime too as I’ll be honest I’m a bit stumped as to what you should do for the best there.

        • Thanks Init. Ive had another play around and can do mbemba to jones – doubling up on Man u defence isnt a bad thing but my bench will be 2 non players and Hegazi playing Chelsea. To be fair that’s the best I’ve come up with so far and have spent 24hrs looking at some pretty out there solutions :/

  3. Evening guys how are we all don’t like these IB it’s a killer , who would you rather have Courtinho, Salah or Mane ???????

    • On current form it has to be salah

    • Hey Silvers..had Mane at the beginning of the season. He is a aguero-esque scary player when fit and running. But, Salah has recently shown an awesome form. Also, Egypt’s WC qualifier has done something positive to his motivation too, i guess. So, Salah for me. Won’t mind having both too if given and option

    • Cheers Mitro & Constantine this is for my 2nd team I already have Salah in my other team so I might just take Mane 😉

  4. Evening all

I appreciate GW12 is some time away so things may change but I need to deal with a few issues in my team, mainly trippier and chichartio, I was initially thinking maybe a Burnley defender like Mee or Lowton for trippier, this could potentially leave 8.6 to bring in either vardy or maybe firmino, do this sound ok or is there a better option to look at? I would prefer to have morata up top but I would have to downgrade either silva or sterling to facilitate this.

    • Hey Mitro Vardy seems like a good choice but it would be wise to get some Che cover preferably Haz 😉

      • Would love to get hazard back in

        • That would require Chico down to a crap 3rd though. Think you’d be better off with Silva / Vardy or Firmino than say Tammy and Haz.

    • Mitro, can you do Silva+ Chica to Chupo + Morata?

  5. Quick wildcard draft.
    What do u think ?

  6. Ha ha

    • Wouldn’t want to be putting Niasse in on a WC mate. I know he may now get a start but that’s possibly not sustainable with a new manager imminent. Certainly not guaranteed anyway. If he was easily switchable then yeah sure maybe worth the punt but I think you’re just buying yourself a future headache.

      • Cheers folks for the input
