Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12. We have a fairly succinct game-week before we all wander off aimlessly into yet another unwanted international break. 10 games over 2 days begins on Saturday at lunch-time as Cardiff host Brighton, sounds like a thriller. We jump then to four 3pm games and we shall be honest here, we aren’t expecting the most action packed Saturday afternoon ever! Huddersfield look to tame Arnie and co, and probably will, to a 0-0 or something similar. Newcastle vs Bournemouth continues the fun, yep that ones got a low score written all over it too. Saints v Watford next, bet against another 0-0 anyone?! Leicester do have what will be sure to be an emotional occasion against Burnley at home, but as a game, again…
Palace host Spurs in the evening game if anyone is still awake, at least there’s the prospect of some goals in this one, we can but hope!
Sunday promises much better though, and just in case there are any stats fans out there the 12 Saturday teams have averaged 12 goals apiece this season, the remaining Sunday bunch of 8 are at 20.75. Liverpool kick us off at home to Fulham in the 12pm game and it could / should be calculators at the ready in this one. Chelsea then take on Everton at 2.15pm before we end our week in strange fashion with two 4.30pm games. Arsenal and Wolves will be largely ignored as the Manchester derby takes centre stage at the same time.
The games in full…

The League Codes for FF247 for the 2018/19 season are as follows –
There we go, City’s CS gone.
Was going to get in Martial last week but didn’t with this game in hand…. he has now scored in both
6 goals plus an assist in the last 5 games. At 7.5 the rush will be on from tonight.
Got him last night and shifted Maddison who is now 96.7% on the way to a drop, with 3500 sales to go.
I think Vardy will go out for Martial tonight.
Martial is a mid .
Yes Kruz, Vardy is first on the hit list and then I still have some deadwood like Wolly who must go as well.
Anyway, strongly considering to play the WC. I don’t think Salah will be included this time, Mane should be enough.
Did Maddison ➡️ Martial this gw
I can’t easily fit him in
Ramsey is offside
Is it too early for Kane? Some time soon I want to do Success/Sterling/4.0 itb to Kane/Lucas but the next fixtures are not great.
Don’t get the Kane fear. He’s not done a lot a season
Looking ahead though Spurs fixtures in December/Jan look pretty promising
Worry about it then
Wouldn’t touch Kane myself. Looked a shell of himself. Wait till he scores back to back games at the least
Anyone thinking of playing their wildcard over the break? I’m looking to – also right before Xmas fixtures
Currently don’t have a full bench haha. And that Jiminez is looking like a stud of a third striker. Surprised he’s only owned by 8.9%!
On my radar now. :p
I did Mitro > Jiminez this week and I’m very pleased with the result. Not only did he get an assist and 1BP, but it released some cash to upgrade elsewhere in the future. Win/Win situation 😀
Left my GW13 team in Neville’s hands… probably do better than me!!
Beautiful dog man. Who cares about the game when you have such great companionship?
Exactly!! And check out this full top ring pull! And the beer is nice too! How’s you GW? You’re having a good season mate!
Photo would help!
Anyone got any questions they’d like to put to the Grab, Avoid or Bore-Off panel for this week’s article please? Contestants are Mito, Rosco and Floydeth.
Erm…. Do I need to get City attackers back in my team
You’re on the panel!
I’m curious –
1) those who haven’t played their wildcard, when are they planning to?
2) stick with Salah or sell / he’s good but given Liverpool’s defensive preference, Salah’s price, and his tendency to score at home this year? Or is he essential
3) budget strikers? Ings? Jiminez? Success enabler during xmas run?
Are those appropriate questions haha
Oh and 4) Hazard – returning back to his streaky self? Is he avoid status?
I am planning to activate my WC tonight.Salah will be replaced by Mane, he is not good enough for 13.0 with the odd goal here and there.
The thing about Mane is that he has only scored or assisted in one game since gw 4
Cheers roccer!
You are right Wafflez. I think Shaqiri looks the better option, he is on fire, at least for now.
Yea the only worry is Shaqs game time. I would go Shaq over Mane anyway
That is true but once we get into the busy Christmas schedule he will be just a part in the rotation headache.
My question:
Thoughts on Mendy? If you don’t/didn’t have him, would you get him?
I would probably go with Laporte or Ederson instead
I’m pondering Mendy as well. I have the fabled trio and can’t see Alonso or Robertson going anywhere (not just because of this week). But in order to beef up my midfield one of my expensive defenders may need to get the chop.
But am just at the pondering stage at the moment. Next GW is fortunately miles off, so no decisions needed yet. And away v WHU next, which isn’t the worst of games.
I’d love to get rid one of Mendy, Robertson or Alonso but they are all getting points. Can’t seemto decide which one to get rid of even if I’d want to which I’m not sure I do
Why would want that, if they are all getting points?
DMC speaketh the sense….
My question is similar to the one from AT. I have Luiz and Laporte from the start and can’t complain much. Should I stay put or jump on the RAM train with the wild card?
Thanks Ivan, that’ll be in there.
Init. My question is about Mendy’s recent aversion to the opponents penalty area. More specifically,
“Oh Mendy. Well he came and he gave without taking. Should I give him away? Oh Mendy.”
