Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12. We have a fairly succinct game-week before we all wander off aimlessly into yet another unwanted international break. 10 games over 2 days begins on Saturday at lunch-time as Cardiff host Brighton, sounds like a thriller. We jump then to four 3pm games and we shall be honest here, we aren’t expecting the most action packed Saturday afternoon ever! Huddersfield look to tame Arnie and co, and probably will, to a 0-0 or something similar. Newcastle vs Bournemouth continues the fun, yep that ones got a low score written all over it too. Saints v Watford next, bet against another 0-0 anyone?! Leicester do have what will be sure to be an emotional occasion against Burnley at home, but as a game, again…

Palace host Spurs in the evening game if anyone is still awake, at least there’s the prospect of some goals in this one, we can but hope!

Sunday promises much better though, and just in case there are any stats fans out there the 12 Saturday teams have averaged 12 goals apiece this season, the remaining Sunday bunch of 8 are at 20.75. Liverpool kick us off at home to Fulham in the 12pm game and it could / should be calculators at the ready in this one. Chelsea then take on Everton at 2.15pm before we end our week in strange fashion with two 4.30pm games. Arsenal and Wolves will be largely ignored as the Manchester derby takes centre stage at the same time.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 12 from all at FF247!

Best way to get Sterling & Martial? Mahrez is going. Maybe Mahrez, Richarlison & Alonso to Sterling, Martial & Dunk?

Or ignore Martial and do Mahrez & Robertson to Sterling & TAA/Gomez?

Or ignore Sterling and do Mahrez to Martial?!

      Kralin says:

Why sell Alonso ahead of Mendy?

To get Sterling you may need to compromise and drop Aguero.

      I don’t think your side’s too bad.

      • banjomaker says:

Purely because selling Mendy doesn’t raise enough for those specific moves.

Do you reckon I need to forget getting both Sterling & Martial then?

I could do Mahrez to Sterling leaves me -1.3. Where would you raise that? Downgrade a defender? Or Kun to Laca?

Or forget Sterling and just do Mahrez to Martial!!

        • Gavy says:

Alonso caused two very good saves today. I’d be keeping him.

        • Kralin says:

If you do Mahrez to Sterling then Mendy is the one I’d downgrade: Sterling and Aguero should be enough and if Rob or Alonso go off the boil you can get Mendy (or whoever) back in.

        • banjomaker says:

That would leave 5.0 for a Mendy replacement. Would a double up on pool with TAA be a bad idea??

          And just forget about Martial?

        • Kralin says:

I’ve done zero research on Martial (in that I’m ticking along ok without him at the moment) so am not the best person to ask about him.

I think I’d go for Doherty over TAA, given Wolves’ ultra-hot fixtures.

Not sure however if Sterling + Doherty is that significant an upgrade on Martial + Mendy. My zero research hasn’t prevented me from noticing he’s (Martial) in good form.

      Brookyboy says:

Just do Mane to Martial if you really want him.Job done ! Mane has only got attacking returns once in the last 7 games and that was Cardiff at home.

      • banjomaker says:

That’s a very interesting stat Brooky! Quite surprised actually. I’d be scared to go without any Liverpool attacking cover though.

Who do you think is more important right now; Sterling or Martial?

Mahrez to Martial would be a lot simpler!!!

        • roccerfeller says:

Problem to me is Pool is playing very defensive first this year. Not attacking like last year

        • banjomaker says:

After the same games last season they’d scored one more goal…

        • Brookyboy says:

They have only scored 3 more goals than United.City have scored 13 more goals averaging 3 a game.Food for thought.

        • Kruzcampo says:

Really! What games are you watching? They are not gelling as well as last season but are still scoring the goals. Defensive? Certainly improved in that department with VVD coming in but very defensive!!!
For defensive have a look at Man U parking the bus!

I just wanted to say a big thanks to all the guys who run this site and invest so much time into it. Currently sitting top of 4 out of 5 of my Ml’s. Without all the great advice and articles I have no doubt I’d be stuck in mid table scrambles as i have been all previous years, so thank you all.

    Gavy says:

So like everyone Martial is on my list for after the ib, I am thinking Schürrle out and him in and tripp out for a for a 4.7 or lower replacement dunk maybe. Would be a -4..

Guys I’m thinking of Wilson to Jimenez, any thoughts?

    • 107.1
      Kralin says:

In theory that should be OK. In that fixture-wise one can’t see either significantly outscoring the other and possibly ending with something similar. Over the next few weeks.

      Am pondering Jiminez myself.

      • Kralin says:

Having looked a bit deeper, Wolves’ looming fixtures are outstanding.

And Jiminez’ price helps shift money elsewhere.

        • man u man says:

That’s what I was thinking. Thoughts on the following please?
Mendy Fraser mahrez and Wilson to Schindler martial Sterling and Jimenez for -8? I know it’s risky going early but Sterling is due to rise and I just have enough money to do it now.

        • Kruzcampo says:

nah do Mahrez to martial and maybe Wilson to Jimmy.Save the rest.

Happy with my 73 this week, but bit gutted on missing out on the cs for Trippier sad Did his injury look bad? If so, any thoughts on a replacement?
