Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13.

You’ve had your break, now it’s time to return to the fun of FPL as we kick off with a London derby of epic(ly) bad proportions if current form is to go by as West Ham host Spurs for the lunchtime kick off. Six 3pm matches follow with Arsenal welcoming Southampton, Wolves travelling to Bournemouth, on fire Leicester taking on Brighton, Palace hosting Liverpool, Everton doing battle with Norwich and Watford entertaining Burnley. The evening kick off should at least be fun as free scoring Chelsea go to the ever generous defence of Man City.

Sunday sees Man Utd trying to break down the wall of Sheffield while Lundstram looks to walk past Maguire. And then we finish off with a Monday night special as Brucey returns to Villa Park with his Magpies.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 13 from all at FF247!

I hope everyone has had a successful day.

    2FT
    Sterling – Son
    Connolly – Jimenez

    How does this look?

    Thanks

Evening everyone. I’m kind of kicking myself as I talked myself out of making my -4 a -8 and doing Sterling to Son last night but c’est la vie!

Watched the City match in bits today and wasnt too impressed with Sterling at all. Therefore I think he’s just got to go. Add this to Pieters not starting for the second game in a row means another transfer.

This leaves me in three minds. Which one is better! Personally I think C makes the team look very appealing.

    A. Sterling to Son leave it at that
    B. Pieters to Aurier leave it at that
    C. Sterling and Pieters to Son and Aurier for a -4
    D. Sterling, Pieters, and Greenwood to Son, Baldock and Jimenez for a -8

I do have my WC so could play it but honestly think I’m not making enough moves to justify it.

I’m not sure that Spurs’ defence can be trusted to keep that clean sheet and repay C’s proposed 4-point hit… but Pieters would probably trigger me too!

      • MattX says:

Sorry I was meant to say D looks very appealing haha

It kind of sets me up for Christmas bar a second GK.

        • jamesimmo says:

I see, haha, those moves do look better. You’re playing a limited 4-4-2 right now, so Jiménez would certainly diversify things for Christmas, whilst Baldock would (partially) cover Lundstram’s points for you.

I’d be tempted to just do Sterling —> Son and then get Jiménez afterwards with a 4-point hit if you still fancy him; Wolves vs Sheffield United could be very tight and you’d be buying a conflicting player from each side. You don’t need to hear that 8-point hits rarely work, so I won’t mention it, even though I just have regardless! 😉

        • MattX says:

Yeah like every week I pretty much just change a defender and that’s all I can really do!

Haha yeah I was looking at Sterling to Son. I only looked at the fixtures of all the players after I posted this and then didnt bother mentioning they counteract either other.

It’s only recently that I’ve realised how ubiquitous Pope has been in FF247 users’ FPL teams. Burnley have pulled my pants down!

Also, complementing Robbo with TAA has made the Liverpool defence’s consistency apparent: 11 goals conceded, yet only the minimum possible tally of 2 clean sheets from 13 matches. Tantalising for both their owners and their opponents…

      MattX says:

He’s been in my team from the very start and I’m delighted by it!

Yeah Robbo and TAA aren’t getting the clean sheets but are certainly making up for it down the other end.

      • jamesimmo says:

I was pleased with Ryan until playing my WC this week, but £0.1 had to be saved and I ditched him for Gazza, which could bite me soon! Vardy retaking his penalty was a lucky moment for me.

Absolutely right. Just imagine when / if Liverpool tighten up again…

        • MattX says:

When is Lloris back? I’d say Jose will improve the defence though.

Oh that would be amazing but honestly I’m not sure they will!

        • jamesimmo says:

Not until next year at least — Mourinho might even continue to trust him if he performs well enough — wishful thinking, I know, but if he does improve things? Who knows these days.

        • MattX says:

Jose will definitely put Lloris back in when he returns! Sorry about that but I dont see Gazziniga staying between the sticks.

With Kun being out for probably 3-4 weeks (muscular injury). Is it wise to get Jesus? In whom we all trust?

Interesting option if that’s the case Raz.

On another note I saw your post from last night, you know where we are if and when you need us / need to rant in general. I know you’re not having the best time right now but know that we are here to help / support / lighten in any way we can, as much or as little as that means. :friends:

      • Raziel says:

Tnx mate. Yah, sort of in a weird place right now. There are people much worse off than me, but I can say fate has treated me unkind, sort of. And usually there is a lesson to be learned. However in this case that’s absolutely bullshit. That what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger doesn’t count for all. Hehe.

Anyways, I’ll try to manage it all. I so want to continue living just need cross a few more bridges.

Anyways, thanks for the support. From all of yall. And I know. I remember we’ve always supported each other here at the community. Many had hard times and some were very ill. But also good moments such as childbirth and birthdays and other good stuff. Hehe.

All will be good again. :good2:

        • AJW says:

Hey Raz, I know we’re just online contacts, but seriously you’re always so willing to participate and comment on everyone’s teams and you show genuine concern for people. You’re definitely one of the important elements on FF247 and I think we all appreciate what you say, as well as your sense of humour. So, even if we don’t really know what it’s like for you, we all support you. I know it may be easier to say it on an anonymous way, but I think sites like ours really help to address that modern problem of loneliness. And as the Liverpool chant goes…..! Well you know how it goes!
Keep on mate – you’re definitely a fine person who deserves more of our praise. smile

        • AJW says:

Damn! I meant either ‘in an anonymous way’! Writing English should come easy for me as I’m Australian (or maybe not, according to many non-Australians! smile )

        • Raziel says:

Hehe. Thanks AJW. Yeah I think currently it’s actually easier for me to talk here than to the people I know in real life.

The people dearest to me I don’t want to hurt. But also noticed I completely freeze when other people are showing interest and want to help me. Like this woman that lost here hearing within six months sent me several messages and asked me to go to a meeting with her… She’s further down the process of her loss. I noticed I really don’t know what to say to her while normal me always has something to say…

So I respond much too late. Which sucks. Hehe. Tried explaining this to her though. I hope the special institution for the blind en visually handicapped will reach out to me soon. I really need the information.

After that shit will be alright. :biggun:

        • AJW says:

Well I know it’s a cliché, but we as humans tend to adapt to new situations – it might be really hard, but we continue and adapt to what we have in front of us.
A few years ago I went to a ‘restaurant in the dark’ in Paris, which was essentially a huge restaurant organized in a hall by a blind and sight-impaired association to give people without sight problems, an insight into what it’s like to not see. We were taken to our seats in complete darkness by blind volunteers and served in the dark. Each table was accompanied by someone who was blind and who guided us through the evening, sharing experiences etc. It was amazing! The guy on our table spoke to us for hours and then me an my ex took him home and he was very independent and proud of his capacity to navigate with other senses than his sight. He even picked up details that we ignored. This led me to believe that we are ALL in some way disabled, and that this man was only lacking his sight, not his insight and intelligence (which was far superior to my own, I admit!). I know that adapting to such a new and strange situation is going to be difficult, but your intelligence and curiosity and love of life will get you through Raz! Cheers mate! smile

    Evening, everyone!

Hope you’re pleased with your scores from today smile

Looking at doing Sterling and Mcginn to Son and Maddison with my 2 FTs, which would also leave £0.9m in the bank. Would leave the team below. Thoughts?

    Hi there comrades.
Kindly help. What is the best replacement for Sterling here?
Leaning toward upgrading Conolly to jiminez. I just simply feel that i’ve missed the Vardy party. Too late to get him sad
This will leave 10.1 mil ITB or “that” sterling replacement.
my 2 rivals in ML have mount and and maddison. Anything else as a differential?
