Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13. Here comes the festive period and the quick turnarounds. This gameweek gets rolling on Tuesday with two fixtures. The recently derailed Chelsea play a struggling Wolves side. That game is followed by Manchester City taking out their derby frustrations on poor ol’ West Brom.
Wednesday grabs our attention a bit more with six games. Nicely divided up with three 6pm games and three 8pm games. The first three fixtures include Arsenal welcoming the surprising Saints, Leeds matching up versus Toon and Leicester tangling with Everton. The three late games sees Fulham play Brighton, Liverpool and Spurs battle it out in a clash for first and West Ham play host to Palace.
Thursday brings an end to the gameweek. Villa goes up against Burnley in the early game and Manchester United pay a visit to last place Sheffield United to close us out.
The games in full…

Hey guys
How’s it going?
Very happy here sitting on 48pts with Bruno / Grealish / Targett to go
Need Little advice with 2 fts
Need to lose Kilman but got no cash to upgrade.
Thinking of using Lamptey to enable the moves
That’ll give me 8.9m for 2 defenders (I know not much to play with)
I’ve already got Targett / Chilwell / Lewis.
These are what I like / can afford
Taylor 4.4m
Holding 4.4m
Ayling 4.5m
Alioski 4.4m
Is there anyone else I’ve missed based on future fixtures / playing time / DGW etc
Thx
It depends if you want players who play GW18 or if you want DGW19 players. I think I would make that choice before any moves.
Stone frog
Yea good point
Not sure on the best strategy
For BGW / DGW
I suppose loading up with dgw players then using free hit in bgw
Followed by bench boost for the dgw?
Sound about right?
Starting to think how to play BGW18 & DGW19. May well use FH for 1 week. 5FT before GW18. Unfortunately I have an evenish split.
SGW18 & SGW19:
Martinez, Grealish, KDB, Son, DCl, (Steer, Mitchell, Brewster).
B18 DGW19:
Zouma, Robertson, Coufal, Bednarek, Fernandes, Lookman, Vardy.
So it’s either 5FT: 3xDef, Mid,Fwd or GK, 3xMid, FWd. The thing is I more inclined to want to keep Son, Grealish etc, not really attached to any defenders! However with 1.8ITB BB19 is doable with 3SGW players and 12DGW players. Lots of thinking to do.
How about, WC in GW 17 followed by FH in the BGW and BB for the DGW?
It’s a brave move but if you carefully manage your team it should be fine for the second DGW which it will be most likely GW 29.
Thanks for the suggestion. I think I would prefer to save the WC or even use it GW20 to tidy things up.
It’s a tough one. Ive currently got 6 DGW players so could get to 11 plus KDB and Son.
But I think I’ll hold BB and use TC instead. It’s between Bruno and Salah, but as a utd fan I really don’t know if I can TC Salah against us
Is that a formation change with Grealish playing as a CAM or does El Ghazi play as CAM?
Or does Grealish get pushed back to central midfield ?
I’d say that pushes Grealish back into the midfield three. Doesn’t really make any odds with him though as he just wanders around wherever he wants to anyway.
BBC Sport think it’s a 4-2-3-1 with Grealish as CAM.
Flashscore and livescore have him as a LAM
Can I ask what the consensus is from my fellow ff247 managers for the mini game week 18 for half the league and double game week 19 for the other half of the league.
Should transfers be made from now for teams in the mini game week to try to have at least 11 players or should the free hit chip be used for this mini game week?
Should transfers be made from now for teams in the double game week to try to have as many double game week players as possible for the bench boost chip to be considered?
Should the free hit chip be used in the double game week ?
Is too much stock being placed on these two game weeks to the detriment on your team from now to mini game week?
Is there any other options that you are considering?
Thanks
Jamie
I think it really depends on the current set up of your team. How many BGW18 players you have and how many DGW19 players you have. Thst may help shape the options. I agree the weeks in between GW14-17 also need considering.
Lot depends on what your current line up and what chips you have.
I don’t have many GW18 players currently, so my plan is to FH18. I’m going to use my FTs from now until GW19 to get double game week players.
Some people may have loads of GW 18 players currently, so might want to ride out GW18 and then FH19.
One thing to bear in mind is that option 1 gives you more players to choose from for your lineup for GW20 onwards.
The double game week (19) I’m likely to use bench boost, but some may prefer TC. I don’t think I’ll have 15 DGW players as some SGW players are still attractive (Spurs for example).
I’m saving WC for later in the season. So I’m likely to use 2 chips: FH & BB
Yes I think FH and then BB will be the most popular option, assuming that us reasonable from the current position.
It’s a Bruno night :diablo:
A blank would be nice
How many more chances does El Gazi need? Why is playing up front and not Grealish?
Exactly, let’s hope that is corrected on Sunday
I’ve lost hope getting anything from him tonight.
My fingers are crossed for Martinez to get a CS.
Same here Ivan. Horrible score this week 35 pts (if it stays this way) with only Bruno to play.
At least if there is any consolation Martinez is on 2 BP.
Why is the coach not doing something about it now? He has had 8 attempts already.
El Ghazi just irritating. Pushing Grealish back into midfield, stopping him being on penalties and wasting Grealish’s potential assists.
