Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13. Here comes the festive period and the quick turnarounds. This gameweek gets rolling on Tuesday with two fixtures. The recently derailed Chelsea play a struggling Wolves side. That game is followed by Manchester City taking out their derby frustrations on poor ol’ West Brom.
Wednesday grabs our attention a bit more with six games. Nicely divided up with three 6pm games and three 8pm games. The first three fixtures include Arsenal welcoming the surprising Saints, Leeds matching up versus Toon and Leicester tangling with Everton. The three late games sees Fulham play Brighton, Liverpool and Spurs battle it out in a clash for first and West Ham play host to Palace.
Thursday brings an end to the gameweek. Villa goes up against Burnley in the early game and Manchester United pay a visit to last place Sheffield United to close us out.

WBA 1-1 vs MC and Grealish no luck today…how important to hold him? I know he had chances…
I’d keep him as he seems pretty much the best bet in that price-range for the next few weeks.
Or ditch him for Salah and rid yourself temporarily of Kane, if you have Kane.
I have Kane and was going to get Bamford for Vardy…so enough cash to do Grealish (or any of the others) for Salah.

In the meantime, ask yourself…. is it worth to go around circles to bring Salah? For the sake of a single goal, if there is a penalty involved of course, and might not be.

I’d find a different route for Salah (I am trying to find it actually, as I have them both). KDB and Bruno blanked this GW but played really well and are clearly their teams’ best footballers.
Yes agreed. Having a mid of Salah/KdB/Bruno is enough to have your opponents quaking in their boots.
Seeing them under-perform merely emphasises their humanity and, in a small way, humbles us all.
It is complicated…will probably sell Grealish. It is not a given that he will score much vs WBA. They are playing better. Got a 1-1 draw with MC.
I think you’d definitely be wise to carry Salah over Christmas given their fixtures.
Ideally you have all 3 though, ‘an alternative route’ as mentioned. Do you have one of those available?
If not then I’d keep Bruno and bin KdB.
Reasons are wonky because whenever I watch City everything, and I mean everything, goes through him. And he feels like a constant assist waiting to happen. Bruno is less consistently involved / relied upon but when he is I feel like he has a team around him who will score more often than City do right now. If Kun returns that may change, but that’s a big if.
The captaincy rule is a total nuisance.

I’d hold your nerve and roll that transfer and spend some fun over Xmas rearranging your furniture and getting Salah in without trashing your entire squad.
Chilwell and KdB seem worth having this week. KdB for longer than that maybe. You have Son to cover any potential mayhem versus Leicester.
I appreciate not having Salah and his steady stream of points is tricky but you’ve enough firepower there and hopefully you’ll get the captain choice right.

I like the three players coming in but I don’t like the three players leaving.
How about simply tidying up Mitchell to someone like Vestergaard or Bednarek and carrying a free transfer? I agree with Kralin that you are alright as you are this week.
Cheers GP. I think it’s the fear of not having Salah that is bugging me. Would you say Kane is essential? I think maybe doing the Mitchell move is probably the smart thing. Bench cover will be essential.
I dont think Kane is essential. Ive not had him all season and it hasnt killed me. Clearly he would be nice to have, but i’d rather have Salah of the two.
No one is really essential and no FPL manager has every player they want.
It’s a balance and also being able to accept that players you want/like will score points when you don’t have them. Doesn’t mean you’re a bad manager, just that you can’t have them all.

So I totally missed GW 13 deadline – forfeited a free transfer – but ended with 57 so not too bad (824 overall).
