Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13. Here comes the festive period and the quick turnarounds. This gameweek gets rolling on Tuesday with two fixtures. The recently derailed Chelsea play a struggling Wolves side. That game is followed by Manchester City taking out their derby frustrations on poor ol’ West Brom.

Wednesday grabs our attention a bit more with six games. Nicely divided up with three 6pm games and three 8pm games. The first three fixtures include Arsenal welcoming the surprising Saints, Leeds matching up versus Toon and Leicester tangling with Everton. The three late games sees Fulham play Brighton, Liverpool and Spurs battle it out in a clash for first and West Ham play host to Palace.

Thursday brings an end to the gameweek. Villa goes up against Burnley in the early game and Manchester United pay a visit to last place Sheffield United to close us out.

  4. If it stays like this, one saving grace is that KDB gets 2 bonus points even though he didn’t do anything! That’s an extra 4 for all of us who captained him!

    • Every cloud, etc.

      I was obviously hoping for a tad more than that tonight – but on the other hand, really wanted WBA to hang on and was chuffed they did.

      And again, Chelsea losing earlier wasn’t great for me fantasy-wise but good on the isn’t-the-league-unpredictable side of things.

    • There’s no reason he deserves them

      • Don’t be surprised if the FPL mafia decides not to give Bruno any BP after even a brace. Their “experts” ware predicting KDB as a top scorer.

        • This isn’t an appropriate forum for mental health issues or regretted life choices.

  5. BGW18 and DGW19 strategy? FreeHit for me, for sure.

    • Not given much thought but at first glance, probably FH for me as well. Although, there is a case for not using a chip at all but I need to have a better look before I commit to something.

    • Blimey yes, it will be with us soon.

      I have some hope we’ll know a bit more about them before wildcarding, as I’m hoping to manage it more that way. Given that Christmas will be pretty quiet this year I should have a bit of time to plot things out.

    • I did say a few days ago that many will choose the option FH and then possibly WC. Still, think that the majority will wait until the Manchester teams are involved in a DGW.

      • Man city is the worst team to target for DGW IMO and based on my experience. They are expensive and constantly rotated. I’d probably still go with KdB only and maybe, just maybe, Ederson (depending on their opposition). But again, this is just a hypothetical conundrum we are discussing, so I will stick to what I know and have for the time being.

    • Has these fixtures been announced yet?

    • In my current team, most of whom I’m not intending to change, I would have 8 players with 2 games in DGW19 and only 6 on the field in BGW18.

      So, at the moment my plan is to FH18.

      If the PL decides to reschedule the GW1 games into these weeks, I would have 8 players for GW18 and 10 doubles plus Son for GW19. I would probably let that ride.

    • Still have my WC, having saved it doesn’t seem worth it seeing those fixtures. Maybe set up a squad that covers the blank GW and play Free Hit during the DGW or not play any chips at all, BB and TC really don’t seem worth it.

    • Lots of thinking to do, but currently considering using transfers from now until GW18 to optimise for GW19 BB. FH GW18 and save WC and TC for later in season.
