Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13. The game-week starts on Friday this week. In about 10 minutes in fact. That’s assuming you see this when it gets published at 6.50pm on Friday. If you are looking at this bewildered at 8pm on Friday having just logged on for your weekly RMT then what can we say! We have mentioned it on nearly every article this week. There will always be one though…

Moyes and his disappointing XI are in search of a win, hoping the 3 points will give 999 operators a day off when they tangle with Leicester at the Olympic Stadium.

Saturday brings us six fixtures. Palace welcomes Stoke, United crushes Brighton and Toon look to get back on the right path when Richarlison and his mates visit St. James’ Park. In the other 3 Saturday affairs, we watch Spurs take on Pulis a West Brom side who hasn’t won since August, Swans trying to pop The Cherries and the best fixture on paper for GW12, current Salah owners Liverpool match up versus old Salah owners Chelsea.

Sunday brings the GW to a close with Saints boring us to sleep against Everton, Burnley battling Arsenal for sixth and Huddersfield bending over for their spanking from City.

      I have a similar side to you but without Gross and with 0.5m itb and 2Fts.
      I am looking at Sterling, Vardy and Lukaku out for Hazard, Morata and a cheap third striker for a four point hit.
      What do you think?

      • Horse, whilst I think at least one of Hazard or Morata is needed (ideally both), I’d be very scared having no City cover.

          The other thing I can think of is to do an Initt this week (Lukaku -> Morata) and save a transfer. Then next GW. Vardy and RLC/Surman to a 4.5m and Hazard plus downgrade either Vert or Jones to get the rest of the money for a point 4 hit and thereby keep hold of Sterling and have the holy Chelski trinity.

        • That’s not far off my plan Horse. Looking at doing it with a WC though. Keeping some City is vital. Just wish one of Kun or Jesus would trip over, break a toe (being kind) and be ruled out for 6 weeks before I did it!

    • Yea, probably… any thoughts / plans / desire to get Hazard?

          I agree City are destroying teams and their players are picking up loads of points.
          But with the crowded fixture list I can see there being loads of rotation.
          They have 3 games in the next 8 days or so.
          After playing 90 minutes midweek maybe Sterling will only get 150 minutes total in the next 3 GWs
          I can see Hazard Salah picking up more points than Sterling Silva etc over Xmas maybe even Ricarlison and Gross too because they are playing more minutes.

          Same up top. Morata should outscore Jesus or Kun.
          So I am just weighing up the options.
          But if I had a few more quid in the bank I would probably keep Sterling smile

  3. I am pulling (what’s left of) my hair out with different Hazard options. Can someone just tell me what I should do to get the little Belgian wizard into this team?

      • Cheers Mitro. Do you not think Jones walks back in to the team when fit? I’ll lose a bit of value in him, so reluctant to let him go.

        I’m currently very tempted by Gross and Azpi to Hazard and Christensen, which also leaves funds for Simpson to Davies / Trippier. Seems crazy to ditch Azpi and Gross though!!!!

        • Yea I quite like the idea of losing Simpson. I’d have 4.4 to spend, if I so wished.

        • Looks nailed on to me Banjo. They’ve been waiting for him to get fit. As soon as he was they bombed Yellow Card Holebas out. Looks like a proper wing back.

          DMC should be aware of him and may tell us more. But didn’t play there for long.

          Maybe Raz. With the bloke being Dutch. Although he’s probably studying deadlines!

          And yes Mitro, I’ll let you claim the Richarlison shout.

        • I’m not saying I’m going to play Kiko or anything but Watford are playing really well and United and Spurs aren’t exactly scoring loads of goals

        • Banjo – how about Grob+Elliot -» Haz+Speroni? Nothing against selling Simpson but not much between those keepers and saves you the 0.1 you are missing.
          On the Zeegelaar front, I’m not sure what to think of him. He looked good as a left back when at mid-table Portuguese League team Rio Ave. That’s why we bought him in January, 2016, but he then failed to secure a permanent spot. I’m not sure if that’s his problem or the coach’s, given that he can’t settle for a left back for 3 years now…
          Marco Silva knows him well (albeit not having coached him before) which means that he’s probably nailed on now that he got a run in the team with such good results. He’s place to lose I’d say. He’s good on crosses by the way, not so much defending! smile

        • Thanks DMC. Really appreciate the insight. My plan was to get Speroni, but gone completely off that idea after he was dropped today! I think I’m leaning towards doing Jones to Daniels, as per Mitro, Horse & Smash’s recommendation. Even if Jones does walk back in the team, United have a couple of tough fixtures coming up. On the flip side, Bournemouth have some great fixtures, and seem to be finding a little form. I’ll keep an eye on Zeegelaar, with the view of bring him in from GW16.

          Ah! Didn’t even look on the Speroni front! Just assumed he was still there. Nevermind that then.
          I like the Daniels pick but allow be to recommend Ake instead. I don’t have any relevant stats to back this up (and Daniels’ FPL output is better by 10 pts) but I have a feeling Ake will start scoring again for B´Mouth soon, as he did begining of last season. Also, he’s better for the bps system than Daniels (Ake has 5 without scoring or assisting while Charlie has 4, despite already having 1 goal and 1 assist – not sure if those stats actualy help my case smile ). Anyway, what I mean is, while Daniels has been delivering the goods more than Nathan, I feel that that may change, especially if Nathan starts puting them behind the net, but also because, all things even, Ake gets the nod for bps! I have him of course, I bought him in in my WC team on the gw prior to this one.

        • I don’t need more options!!!!! smile I really rate Ake, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see him getting a few attacking returns. I just have a feeling that with Daniels playing full back he’s likely to get in those positions more often. I’m sure I’ll be proved wrong on Tuesday though!

        • He’s always going to be one tackle away from an injury

        • He will get back in. But he’s going to be rotated heavily anyway with the amount of fit centre halves they have

  4. Think its Lukaku to Morata for me. Can’t see any other moves and I think Ibra is going to ruin the dynamic of United especially Lukaku. Is there anything else to do?

    Planning to do Smalling and lukaku to Azpilicueta and Lacazette for GW14, good?

    • GW14 I bet Wellbeck plays over Lacazette. Rotation

      • It is a possibility, if not I could always go for Jesus/kun and look to maybe Otamendi/Daniels instead of Smalling

        • Possibly one of the City boys. How about Wilson and Hazard in for GroB and Lukaku. You might get another week out of Smalling. Could just save the transfer

    • I like the Azpi move mate but I’m not sure about Lacazette. I’d possibly hold off until tomorrow and see how he plays. I don’t feel Arsenal are consistent enough.

    • looks good to me mitro… like the lacazette differential, believe he has some decent fixtures ahead!
      thing i would say (and to everyone).. I’ve seen a lot of people getting azpi/alonso.. why not get courtois- guaranteed starter and only 5.4? then play a 4.5ish idk just my thoughts
      nothing wrong with the moves though, regardless!

    • Looks like I won’t be doing Azpilicueta and Lacazette! Azpilicueta went up last night …. dam!!

      • So it looks like it could be Grob and lukaku to hazard and Wilson, it would leave me 1m ITB to sort out my defence next week

  6. thoughts please?
    1)salah in for ritchie (you are 10 gw’s late)
    2) sterling-> sane and ritchie-> 8.8 like coutinho/richarlison
    3) sterling to silva and ritchie-> 9.4
    4)courtois in goal? i know not a priority but..
    5) anything else to do with the 3.9?
