Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14. We are entering a busy FPL week with no less than 3 game-weeks covering the next 10 days. Game-week 14 kicks off tonight with a visit across the Severn for Wolves – Cardiff will be sniffing blood after watching Huddersfield tame Nuno’s pups last week.

Saturday then brings us six matches – first up we have five 3pm kick-offs as Palace host Burnley, Brighton go to Huddersfield, Leicester welcome Watford, Bournemouth try and stop Pep’s rampant machine and Arnie and his Hammers limp up to Newcastle.

The evening match sees Jose coming up against someone worse off than himself as United travel to Southampton.

Sunday sees our final three matches of GW14 before thoughts turn to the quick turnaround to GW15!
And it’s Derby Day all round as Chelsea host Fulham, Spurs go to Arsenal before Liverpool and Everton wrap things up for us.

Our Regulars League* for 2018/19 is now open and has a cash prize pool of £300 paid directly to the winners from the FF247 management team. The first 5 places are paid out in a tiered system.

To enter this one you need to be an active and recognised site member and you need to e-mail us for the league code – elleffcee@gmail.com

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

        • Hard to explain but my screen keeps sort of juddering when i scroll up and down and the “go to latest comments” bar keeps moving as i’m looking at the screen.Its actually quite annoying !

    How we all doing? 37 with 4 to play including captain Salah, fingers crossed for a green!

        • Yeah, I’m hoping for a brace from him. You’ve got to feel like Mustafi and Maveoponos as their center backs could get exposed. We’re getting them just before Koscielny is back.

        • Yeah I know. What could have been, eh? But BOU’s recent poor form and historic scoring record against City meant Wilson was the obvious attacker to bench. And I was convinced (quite rightly) that Brighton would concede, so Duffy sat out for that reason.

          Never mind, I am up to 1747 OR tonight, so can hardly complain 😀

        • Hi Zed. Sorry, but I’m not a diehard Spurs fan. I only started supporting them in June 2018! 🙂

          I only came to ‘real’ football via fantasy football a few seasons ago, as I didn’t grow up in a football loving household. How does an adult choose a football team to support if they’ve not grown up with it? I used to like BOU (I still do in fact) as they were promoted the season I started FPL, so I felt a kinship with them because we were both newbies to the Prem. Oh, and I really like their kit, haha. I used to pick them as my FPL ‘team’, but decided over the summer that I should probably pick a team that was geographically closer to my ‘hood. I think Watford was technically closest, but Arsenal or Spurs weren’t far behind, so I picked the one I liked the most of those three. Not entirely sure I’m really allowed to do that. I just assume everybody who supports a team got into them as a kid and has ‘earned’ the right to do so. I do feel like a fraud sometimes, haha.

          But I digress…

          I certainly want some Spurs assets (ideally Kane) and have 2FT to use. Am considering Siggy+Wilson > Kane+£4.3mid or maybe Hazard/Salah+Wilson > Kane+??? but will probably do Patricio>Fabianski and Siggy>Alli I think. Will be waiting to see how Spurs, Siggy and Hazard get on tomorrow before I make any decisions.

          Zed, I’m now thinking Patricio>Lloris rather than Fabianski.
          May then keep Siggy and roll the other FT, or would still have enough cash for Siggy>Alli if I wanted.

        • @Chips I started rooting for Saints as an adult too, and it’s not particularly close to my ‘hood either, well just googled it and it’s some 2300km away 😆 I live in Finland, there were no football teams I rooted for as a kid here, although I played as a kid, always followed the prem and la liga and the big European leagues… Kane is who I will get now and probably Trippier soon too, although I gotta say Lloris is a great idea too! smile

          Well, if you’re allowed to support SOU from Finland, I’m pretty sure I’d be allowed to support BOU from Hertfordshire 😉
          Yes, the Lloris idea just hit me. Ideally I want WHU and TOT defensive coverage, but Lloris+WHU defender is much more affordable than Fabianski+TOT defender. Lloris has 4 CS from 9 starts and has only conceded 6 goals in total across the other 5 games, which seems pretty good to me. Also he’s a bit of a differential, as he’s only owned by 4.2% currently. I think he is ‘flying under the radar’ somewhat because he missed 4 games due to illness, so his FPL points are relatively low.
