Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14. We are entering a busy FPL week with no less than 3 game-weeks covering the next 10 days. Game-week 14 kicks off tonight with a visit across the Severn for Wolves – Cardiff will be sniffing blood after watching Huddersfield tame Nuno’s pups last week.

Saturday then brings us six matches – first up we have five 3pm kick-offs as Palace host Burnley, Brighton go to Huddersfield, Leicester welcome Watford, Bournemouth try and stop Pep’s rampant machine and Arnie and his Hammers limp up to Newcastle.

The evening match sees Jose coming up against someone worse off than himself as United travel to Southampton.

Sunday sees our final three matches of GW14 before thoughts turn to the quick turnaround to GW15!
And it’s Derby Day all round as Chelsea host Fulham, Spurs go to Arsenal before Liverpool and Everton wrap things up for us.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 14 from all at FF247!

United never created a thing in that second half. Luck would have it, I got peace to watch it uninterrupted and I thought United were so wasteful. Pogba and Lukaku in particular.

Nothing in there to get me excited anyway.

Not having Sterling is killing me.

Will wait for tomorrow but I’m thinking Kane and Fabianski in for Aguero and Patricio. Would not usually bother with keeper move but I still have a wildcard which will need to be used shortly. Not having Sterling is a bit of an issue

That’s a good move if you are planning on WCing for GW16!

      Kralin says:

If your wildcard wasn’t spare I’d suggest Peltier for one of the cheapo WHU defenders as an idea, but wildcards are made for tidying up benches. I wish Peltier were playing, given his price.

The Kun to Kane move – are you seing it as a long-term thing, or just a quickie to cover this GW?

That’s what I’m pondering – given 5/6 games, will Kane significantly outscore the cheaper Kun? In some ways it would be a blessing if Kun were ruled out of GW15. Would make the decision easier.

At the moment I’m 70% towards Kane in.

      • Zed Leppelin says:

If I go for Kun –> Kane then I can’t afford Sterling and means I’m stuck with double Wolves defense, seems like Kane isn’t worth it, Son/Alli would be a lot cheaper and would enable a better team + Sterling… I’m tempted by Kun –> Wilson (who has 2pts less than Kun at the moment with half the price!!!!) and Martial to Alli/Son… Then Haz –> Sterling GW16 and have loads in the bank to upgrade Patricio and/or defense….

        • Kralin says:

I think Kane is dominating the discussion and you’re clever to open it up to consider the likes of Alli, et al.

Wilson arguably has three potential bankers out of the next four games.

Your plan isn’t a bad one at all – provided you get Sterling and don’t get lost somewhere along the way.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

I already dodged the Kane bullet when everyone bought him in (even for hits) against Cardiff, could it happen again? smile

      • Smash says:

I’m looking at it for the whole of December. With loads of games I do not think that’s good for Kun. I just see Jesus playing a lot

        • Kralin says:

That’s the reassuring thing about Kane. We know he’ll play. And we know he can hat-trick. He’s a good captaincy option. His side’s in good form.

Thank goodness I don’t have to make the decision tonight.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

That’s it Kralinho, plus he’d be ideal captain material in GW15, given we just cannot defend at all!!!

        • Brookyboy says:

I agree Kane surely more nailed through December. He never gets rested has great fixtures is hitting form and has Alli and Eriksen back along side him.

        • Kralin says:

I have a nagging feeling it will be Kane in for GW15 then a long dark night of the soul again. But his next three fixtures (at least) look pretty good.

Looks like a mistake not bringing in Sterling or Hazard this week.

Any thoughts for upcoming GW? 2FT, 1.6itb

    • 113.1
      Kralin says:

It’s tough, because of the ever-present ballache about Man City rotation. I’d say most of your side is absolutely fine for this GW and presumably it’s Mane, Salah and Kun you’re thinking about. If Kun is unfit then the Kane move is an easy one.

You’re then in the position of no City, so have to make the call on Sterling (would mean waving bye to Salah) or Mane to Sane/Silva. Or just risk it (Mane and Salah aren’t exactly bad assets) and take 2FT to GW16.

    Raziel says:

Is it crazy to do Kun to Kane and Mane to Delle Ali? I’m 0.3m short to get ERiksen. SPurs fixxtures look very good.
