Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14. We are entering a busy FPL week with no less than 3 game-weeks covering the next 10 days. Game-week 14 kicks off tonight with a visit across the Severn for Wolves – Cardiff will be sniffing blood after watching Huddersfield tame Nuno’s pups last week.
Saturday then brings us six matches – first up we have five 3pm kick-offs as Palace host Burnley, Brighton go to Huddersfield, Leicester welcome Watford, Bournemouth try and stop Pep’s rampant machine and Arnie and his Hammers limp up to Newcastle.
The evening match sees Jose coming up against someone worse off than himself as United travel to Southampton.
Sunday sees our final three matches of GW14 before thoughts turn to the quick turnaround to GW15!
And it’s Derby Day all round as Chelsea host Fulham, Spurs go to Arsenal before Liverpool and Everton wrap things up for us.
The games in full…

A question. If you have Sterling,or are getting him in the future isn’t he now just an automatic captain choice every week given how consistent he is ? If so is Kane really needed if you dont captain him ? 12.4m mill is a lot of money for a player that you wouldnt captain most weeks ? Thoughts ?
Yeah that’s a decent point, however one might fear Sterling is a slight rotation risk and hence a bit risky to cap him if he gets on for one point cameos… Also would you rather cap Kane away to Leicester or Sterling away to Chelsea in GW16?
But yeah, Alli or Son would be so much cheaper and hence better value imo!
Sterling is a slight rotation risk all the time but also arguably the best captain option. He has only missed 2 games and in both of them he stayed on the bench.
I’m actually talking more longer term than just next weekend.
I was talking long-term too, well at least December, from January onwards you could be right! But I’d still be worried of a cameo, ok he’s stayed on the bench thus far but it depends on how the game unfolds, if City need goals then Sterling would come on… I don’t know though, I am pretty evenly torn currently between Kane and Alli tbh…
Good question Brooky but with Pep’s roulette it’s difficult to rely on him as a captain every game, especially during the busy Christmas schedule.
Not if you have a half decent vice captain option ?
That is true but like Zed said the risk of cameo participation are still there.
Brooky,
I would be happy with both and then decide which one to captain/VC. A good problem to have.
I also think both will bring in the points so what’s not to like?
From your replies to the other posts you appear to have convinced yourself already. If so, who do you want instead of Kane?
Agree with that, good problem to have.
The good thing if you captain Sterling is that even if he comes off the bench he can score, and if he doesn’t then you have a strong VC.
I havent convinced myself on anything ! Just mulling things over for when i play.my wildcard.I’m actually pondering bringing Kane in for Southampton then switching him back out for an Arsenal striker next weekend.
Fantastic,Alonso subbed off with a cleanie!! Did he actually score under the bps?
Nope, no bonus just 6pts
Not included this time Kruz.
I actually thought he might have had a minus score,he was that poor! Never seen him so bad.
Certainly not his best game
Alonso off. Now Fulham can score!
Alonso cleanie nailed!!! Thank god!
Hazard assist!!!!
My VC instead of Aguero so that helps
Alonso injury?
Raz,
He looked a bit lethargic but not injured
It said he was flagged
See? Alonso out with injury it says hers.
