Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14. We are entering a busy FPL week with no less than 3 game-weeks covering the next 10 days. Game-week 14 kicks off tonight with a visit across the Severn for Wolves – Cardiff will be sniffing blood after watching Huddersfield tame Nuno’s pups last week.
Saturday then brings us six matches – first up we have five 3pm kick-offs as Palace host Burnley, Brighton go to Huddersfield, Leicester welcome Watford, Bournemouth try and stop Pep’s rampant machine and Arnie and his Hammers limp up to Newcastle.
The evening match sees Jose coming up against someone worse off than himself as United travel to Southampton.
Sunday sees our final three matches of GW14 before thoughts turn to the quick turnaround to GW15!
And it’s Derby Day all round as Chelsea host Fulham, Spurs go to Arsenal before Liverpool and Everton wrap things up for us.
The games in full…

What’s everyone doing with kun?
Thinking PEA or Kane.
Selling. Was all set on Kane but he really don’t look great
I was thinking the same before the game! Might just do PEA
PEA cheaper and looked a lot better imo, plus Arsenal fixtures turn great soon too, could be a great differential (well, sort of)
Arsenal’s fixtures turn good on Wednesday night!
😉
Thing that alwYs puts me off Auba is Laca and him being pushed wide. I’ve got 2 free transfers so might go Kane this week and save the other
I reckon Auba has scored well on the wing as well though? Do we think Auba is on pens even when Laca/Ozil are on the pitch?
He don’t do as much when on wing generally. Less involved. Yeah he’s on pens
Think it may just be Aubameyang! Was set on Kane until I watched that match!
Was planning on getting Kane, but now maybe PEA instead and going without spurs cover
What about keeping him?
His “injury” doesn’t look that bad, does it? And Jesus does not look like a threat to his spot. Except for Chelsea GW16, his fixtures are quite nice as well…
I understand that Kane and PEA look tempting, but it is yet unclear whether the Spurs are back to their impressive level of last year. And PEA plays in United wednesday.
Will keep him one gw more and then see.
Might just keep him, but both Arsenal and Spurs December fixtures is tempting
I’m not convinced that the London derby at the Emirates is the best benchmark upon which to extrapolate predictions for Spurs against Southampton and the rest of the “easy” matches for the rest of this year.
Overnight score: 13pts on field, 22 on bench (none salvageable). Wishing I hadn’t transferred out Lazazette for Murray. Oh well, at least I didn’t sell or drop Aubameyang!
Evening all and may the FPL Father Xmas be blessing you all this weekend!
Cedric or a hammers defender for the next few games?
Don’t have defensive cover from either yet (for obvious reasons!)
West Ham, I wouldn’t touch Saints if they were £0.0m each.
My thoughts too.
Kun, Martial, Jimenez to PEA, Alli and Success for a -4 ?
Was planning on Kun and Martial to Kane + a 6.2 mid but after tonight I’m not sure
Oh and these transfers is for gw15
Did Alli look threatening? Didn’t see the game myself.
No he didn’t.
The Spurs were largely dominated. They had a good moment, mostly driven by Son (although he should learn to make a pass from time to time) and Eriksen, IMO.
Ok so no Alli can’t afford Ericsen and Son is a rotation risk?
What is the preferred strategy of those still having their WC?
I am tempted to wait for the very last moment to play it, end of december. However, in the midst of the boxing day, I am afraid not to have a clear mind as to who really lost his place, who might be injured, etc.
Alternatively, I could play it in the short future to offload Pool and Chelsea assets, in favour of Spurs and Gunners. But are we sure that the former are definitely disappointing, and the latter in form for a long time?
Playing it now would also help me cleaning the dead wood, and having a playing bench ready for the Christmas games?
Anyway: when do you intend to play yours, if you still have it?
GW17 looking likely for me. This is my current draft…thoughts?
Not convinced by Fraser long term but I’ve had him a while so don’t have a lot of money to find any better.
This does look like a nice team!
I am questioning Alonso. He does not look to play as offensive as he used to, and he costs a lot.
And I believe that if I’d WC toady, I would do without Hazard. He only scored 15 points in his last 6 games! I know that he will certainly bounce back , but I think that I would do something like downgrading him to Eriksen and upgrade Pereyra for instance to Richarlison,
Any reason why you would be targhetting GW17? To get ready for the boxing day?
GW17 just happens to be when my teams look a bit crap.
I have 2FT this week so could probably get by for a couple more weeks.
Digne third on my bench. Pool better score fast…:p
He’s 3rd on mine too but with Bennett, Kun and Stephens not playing he’s due to come on. Could be the silver lining for me after not bringing in Hazard/Sterling for one of my Pool mids and captain Kun not appearing.
