Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14.
It’s a tight and congested turnaround this week with all ten games condensed over Saturday and Sunday before GW15 then sprawls out over most of the following midweek before we go again next weekend.
Newcastle and Man City get us going on Saturday in the lunchtime kick-off with both having looked a bit lacklustre in their previous PL games, the difference being that the former lost and the latter still won. The traditional 3pm start time on Saturday sees four games with Burnley ‘entertaining’ Crystal Palace, Chelsea scripting Pellegrini’s P45, Liverpool checking their VAR panel are on message vs Brighton and Spurs wondering how many they will concede before scoring more against Bournemouth. Saturday itself ends with an odd one as the recently hapless Saints host the recently hapless Hornets, it’ll probably end up being 4-4 and the game of the season.
Sunday sees the sack race continue and Emery is in pole position at 2pm as he takes his ‘team’ to Norwich, whilst at the same time the genuine game of the week may unfold at Molineux as Wolves host Sheffield United. The GW ends with two 4.30pm games as Vardy and co. look to seal the fate of Silva and Ole will be hoping that Villa don’t add to the nails in his media constructed coffin.
The games in full…

1 FT and 1.0 ITB
Providing that there are no nasty surprises from the LEI boys today planning to roll the FT. Or, is it time to do something about Pope :scratch_one-s_head:
Ivan I’ve been thinking about Pope myself but given after 14 matches he’s joint third scoring keeper and only 5 points behind Ryan, I’m unsure it’s worth a transfer.
I think you are right Ben. Unlikely to get a CL vs City but might generate a few saves at least.
I’m keeping Pope, can’t get points in every game and I don’t wanna use a precious FT to get rid, besides, City aren’t at their best at the moment
OK Zed, staying put then :good:
You can gamble Jose will finally get a CS (looks funny written down) and go for Gazza? Zed’s right of course, every ft is precious (don’t start singing!) but could work out of course
Nah, with those midweek rounds and heavy Christmas schedule we might need the FT for some more pressing issues.
Yep, injury season is already upon us with Abraham, good luck dodging the fireballs.. Now let’s relax and enjoy the Pukki show
Yep and watching how Wolves losing CS in the first minute :haha:
Hi all. Despite having £2.4m ITB I’m thinking about carrying the FT (assuming Tammy is ok) given the first 11 all have decent fixtures (except Pope). Would you agree?
Connolly to Jimenez maybe. Mcginn don’t have great fixtures and might need bench over Christmas. Or downgrade later
Sorry you are short on that Sunday morning
Cheers smash. Yeah if I hold I can do Connolly to Jimenez and McGinn to bench fodder next week without taking a hit.
Maybe Janmaat to Kelly? CRY have a fantastic run now.
Cheers Willys. Sounds like a good idea tbh.
Thinking of saving but I can do Alli and Abraham in for Connolly and Sterling. Would be a -4.. defenders have decent fixtures though
I was thinking Martial > Alli and almost pressed the button yesterday…but resisted and Alli went up by 0.1m…now I have the exact fund to do the transfer. I believe Martial will not be good in next 2 games…want to see how he does today.
Yeah I really need some points from him today. Spurs have been conceding though and United players will have a point to prove in that game so I’m fine with the fixture
Think I’d advise against the hit, keep it simple, the team is looking good so no need for a hit imo… You should be able to do it next week for free
Yeah prob makes sense to save and get a captain pick right
That’s the impossible part
Think I’ll get Inittowinit to pick me a captain
Hello gents, hope everyone is having a good gw. Trying to plan for the next few gw but having some dilemma on what would be best way forward. My current thoughts are
1. Keep current team to cover possible rotations leading up to Xmas
2. Shift value to defense and – downgrade Martial/Madison to a 4.6mid and upgrade Tomori & Soy to TAA & Chilwell
3. Something else?
I’m not a fan of such a strong front 8. I’d downgrade one of them and invest the savings in defence.
Thanks Kop and can I also ask who would you suggest to downgrade? Mads/Martial someone else?
Assuming Tammy is ok I’d lose either Maddison or Martial. Leicester have better fixtures but I think Martial’s points ceiling may be higher.
Thanks again Kop. Martial does seems to be the focal point for United but Leicester does have some tasty fixtures comin up. Will keep an eye on how both get on after today
+1
Depends how Martial and Maddison get on today but will be one of them presuming Tammy is ok
Thanks for your thoughts Smash!
Definitely 2!
A Liverpool defender seems a must now (well I thought so from beginning), and yesterday was a lesson learned in that regard, they have such huge attacking potential, the key is to have them long term so you catch the games where yesterday happens!
Yes and will roll over FT and get TAA as priority if stays the same. Alisson would be back also by then. Many thanks from the Humble One :wink2:
Watford have sacked QSF
:big-lol: That’s Watford
Not the first time either!
Red card for Jimenez and a hatty for mousset.
Remember where you heard it first!
Just be happy for your own players. There is no need to wish red cards on others. If he blanks that should be enough. And that would leave me crying… :suicide:
