Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14.
It’s a tight and congested turnaround this week with all ten games condensed over Saturday and Sunday before GW15 then sprawls out over most of the following midweek before we go again next weekend.
Newcastle and Man City get us going on Saturday in the lunchtime kick-off with both having looked a bit lacklustre in their previous PL games, the difference being that the former lost and the latter still won. The traditional 3pm start time on Saturday sees four games with Burnley ‘entertaining’ Crystal Palace, Chelsea scripting Pellegrini’s P45, Liverpool checking their VAR panel are on message vs Brighton and Spurs wondering how many they will concede before scoring more against Bournemouth. Saturday itself ends with an odd one as the recently hapless Saints host the recently hapless Hornets, it’ll probably end up being 4-4 and the game of the season.
Sunday sees the sack race continue and Emery is in pole position at 2pm as he takes his ‘team’ to Norwich, whilst at the same time the genuine game of the week may unfold at Molineux as Wolves host Sheffield United. The GW ends with two 4.30pm games as Vardy and co. look to seal the fate of Silva and Ole will be hoping that Villa don’t add to the nails in his media constructed coffin.
The games in full…

Frank Lampard to Chelsea TV last night: “Tammy [Abraham] may have a chance [v Villa], we’ll see how he is over the next couple of days. He’ll be very keen to be involved against the team he was on loan at last season.”
Doesn’t really fill me with confidence that he’ll start. Off the bench at best. Does mean good news for the weekend though.
Yeah we will get more info before
Finished on 46 so I’m looking forward to the games midweek!!
Just done mount to zaha
Don’t know whether to go with vardy as capo or go with PEA.
Either really, both of their oppo concede a fair few on the road.
Prob Vardy but there’s a great case for either
Cheers both! Might just flip a coin before the deadline!
What’s your plans in regard to Alli? Thinking of doing sterling to him for GW16.
Think I’d like to see how Spurs get on at United first. However he’s playing off Kane and is looking like a great option tbf so I might have seen enough
If everything goes according to plan he will be in my team for GW16!
Watford will put Leicester a problem similar to what Everton did, but Brighton will do the same to Arsenal as they did to Liverpool so it being midweek games I don’t think either explodes in this one. Depends a bit on your position in the game and minileagues. If you are in a good position to gamble/attack, then go PEA; if defending a lead perhaps Vardy then. He keeps banging them and never blanks vs minor opposition whereas PEA and Arsenal can blank and lose a game any time.
Well, given we looked pretty good offensively against Watford says my capo will be Vardy 100%, easiest choice I’ve ever made 😎
Would it be weird to move Pope to Henderson now with no other pressing issues? Burnley have tough next two whereas Sheffield have great fixtures ahead! Will play WC soon anyway so starts to be time for such short-term moves I reckon, can always get Pope back with WC (although I don’t know whether I’d even want to, Henderson is good for long-term as well)
If nothing pressing I don’t see why not. I’d prefer Henderson going forward. Pope was at fault for both the goals p
It’s a decent move
Zed, you are the one who advised me this morning not to bother wasting a FT and keep Pope. Have you spent too long time in the cellar again :haha:
Yeah I know, now I’m thinking the complete opposite, because I’m using WC soon :bop:
Cheers lads!
Asking again as pretty unsure here. Do I save? I want rid of Martial (a mistake). Could switch to Zaha or BSilva. Thing is I want Tammy back. But would be a -4 as don’t want rid of Jimenez so not sure it’s worth it
Needs a bit of planning out that if you want Tammy alongside Vardy and Jim. Who needs to leave to make that happen and just as importantly when?
Can be Martial to fodder but that leaves me playing 4-3-3. Alli and Abraham works if I ditch Sterling. Martial seems to be the problem though going forward I guess it depends if I give him another week and take the price drop. Though still have the wildcard
You’re turning into Mitro
I wouldn’t take a hit for Tammy this GW as there’s no guarantee he’ll start.
Lol cheers kop… I think!
:good:
Too much time on my hands I think. Need to go back to work
Would you have enough to do sterling and Connelly to Alli and Tammy?
Yep I can do that.
Press that button mate 😉
I have to wait on Tammy. I’m tempted. Only problem is it leaves me with that waste of space Martial
When are you playing your WC and what’s the plan for the Liverpool blank week? As things stand Liverpool are blanking GW18… You might wanna think what team you want for GW18 with FTs, and go back GW by GW from that team to your current team, with 4FTs, see what you can do… Keep 2 FTs for GW18 to get rid of Mane/TAA, then WC them back GW19?
Or is there still a possibility the Hammers vs Pool will be rescheduled to GW18? What’s the situation like at the moment?
Prob planning on holding wildcard for as long as possible but it will be used around then. There’s not many stand out fixtures when Liverpool blank. Plus Liverpool have an easy home game before.
Yeah that Watford game is a must, but I’d have 2FTs for GW18 to get rid of them, if I need to, and then WC them back in GW19… Can’t postpone the WC any longer than that (well GW20 at the latest) so that Liverpool blank kind of sits perfectly for the WC from that perspective as well…
Yeah that does kind of work. There’s not a major problem playing the bench players in that week either when Liverpool blank
Yeah you could use the bench, if you’d want to use your WC now, before GW19, for instance, but if not, I see no reason not to use the WC to get better players than cheap bench players for that one GW
I need to replace Wan Bisaka before his price tumbles tonight. Who should I get at a price below 4.7?
Rico?
Rico is an option but he has Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the next 5. What about Willems or some cheapie from Crystal Palace – Kelly, Dan or Cahill, don’t know who is more nailed amongst the three!
Palace defender I think. I’d say Cahill but he missed last game
I would go with Willems.
That’s a decent shout.
Need to improve my bench a bit as Rico is getting 0 points even though he plays, Nakamba didnt play today (was there a reason for that?). Greenwood isn’t reliable.
I’ve got 2.7 itb and 1 ft. I had a way of bringing in Jim alongside Vardy and Tammy but cant remember what it was now. Any ideas what I should do?
Write your ideas down?
I did on my tablet but the memo has erased for some reason.
I’m 0.7 off Greenwood to Jimmy
How far off Greenwood to Jimi are you?
Rico seems to come close to scoring every week though as well. Ings in for Greenwood though would prefer Jimenez. What would that leave for Tirlemans replacement as that looks most logical route?
Basically Greenwood and Tielemans out would be Jimmy and 6 mil for a replacement.
Ings could work though… hmm
