Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 15. Live Match Chat on a Tuesday? Surprise! Well, we hope not… Live Match Chat on a Friday last time did seem to flummox a few site regulars though. This despite many, many mentions of the early deadline as well as a bloody big countdown timer on site with not only the date on it but an actual countdown timer, who knew. And these are site members who come on and use the facilities. Now this is not to denigrate them at all, we feel for them and hope they do better in future. It’s more to point out that if they are missing such tricks then just imagine how many of your your mini-league rivals, who may pay even less attention, will probably drop similar balls. Lovely! The moral being… don’t even mention it in passing to them, simply rock up in work the next day and ask them who they transferred in.
These midweek games are like speed dating compared to our usual drawn out affairs. Tuesday sees four of them, it begins at 7.45pm and will be done and dusted by 10pm. Bournemoth v Huddersfield, Brighton v Palace and West Ham v Cardiff all kick off our short week followed 15 minutes later by Watford v Man City. And that’s Tuesday over.
Wednesday sees the remaining 6 games and again they will be over in the blink of a fantasy eye. Burnley v Liverpool, Everton v Newcastle, Fulham v Leicester and Wolves v Chelsea are our ‘early’ ones, followed by Man United v Arsenal and then Spurs hopefully putting the final icing on the cake of a decent gameweek by sealing Mark Hughes’ departure at 8pm.

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

I guess you’d have to do Salah > Sterling to raise a bit of extra cash

in all honesty zed your squad doesnt need much finetuning. noticed our points difference it not much although u have the better squad and TV

Strikers – great. No issues.
I went for Steele as my reserve keeper as he is no.2 to Ryan and Ryan jets off in Jan to the Asian games. Its a minor point but gives you another option if Fabianski gets injured or doesn’t play etc.
Defence – not sold on Dunk – Brighton’s fixtures are not good.
Bennett has lost his place hasn’t he?
Maddison – I’d have Snodgrass instead – in form, great fixtures, manager talking him up and gives you 1.5ish in the bank to sort out Dunk and Bennett.

damn damn damn… that sums up yesterday in a nutshell.
Poor guy. I guess we all need to batton down the hatches and wait to emerge post-GW to see what the relative damage is.
depending on arnies result, if hes out long term, is arnie to wilson the natural move to do even though he faces top 6 opposition thrice in the next 5 gw? there aren’t much good fwds out there within the 7mil range. jimenez is there but can be a hit and miss each game.
Mitrovic? Has a nice little run of fixtures after man utd, nailed on, fulham might have a new manager bounce and slightly cheaper.
Its Wilson or Mitrovic for me. Wilson has form and ownership and plays in an attacking side, Mitrovic has slightly better fixtures in a worse, struggling side.
Neither has penalty duty so that is not a consideration.
See how Mitro goes tonight I guess.
My head right now suggests form and Wilson but I’m not 100% on it.
Mitrovic has 4 yellow cards, Wilson 3, that might be a consideration too.

That is true Cookie. The other option is to get a deadwood like Kamara or Quaner for 4.3 and upgrade Billing to Hazard or someone else so I can play 3-5-2 for a while.
It’s either that or Wilson, but I’m liking the 3-5-2 option, I’m playing that myself for the time being!

Possibly mate that’s up to you. I like 3 forwards personally but 3-5-2 has worked for many a manger this season.
My preference has always been 3-4-3 but with the current situation might have a go. Ideally everyone needs a very strong bench for the next few weeks but still, January and the new WC is around the corner 🙂
On this topic, I realized that Hazard has only scored 15 points out of his last 6 games.
To be fair, he was hald injured in 3 of them, but still, that is a lot of money for little return so far.
With Chelsea being less convincing that it used to be, I’d rather go for a 3-4-3 – or consider another premium mid instead of Haz!
This is a good point Vinci. Providing that he was the one I just got rid of this week with a hit in order to accommodate both Kane and Auba. Perhaps I need to look elsewhere.
