Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 15

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 15. Live Match Chat on a Tuesday? Surprise! Well, we hope not… Live Match Chat on a Friday last time did seem to flummox a few site regulars though. This despite many, many mentions of the early deadline as well as a bloody big countdown timer on site with not only the date on it but an actual countdown timer, who knew. And these are site members who come on and use the facilities. Now this is not to denigrate them at all, we feel for them and hope they do better in future. It’s more to point out that if they are missing such tricks then just imagine how many of your your mini-league rivals, who may pay even less attention, will probably drop similar balls. Lovely! The moral being… don’t even mention it in passing to them, simply rock up in work the next day and ask them who they transferred in.

These midweek games are like speed dating compared to our usual drawn out affairs. Tuesday sees four of them, it begins at 7.45pm and will be done and dusted by 10pm. Bournemoth v Huddersfield, Brighton v Palace and West Ham v Cardiff all kick off our short week followed 15 minutes later by Watford v Man City. And that’s Tuesday over.

Wednesday sees the remaining 6 games and again they will be over in the blink of a fantasy eye. Burnley v Liverpool, Everton v Newcastle, Fulham v Leicester and Wolves v Chelsea are our ‘early’ ones, followed by Man United v Arsenal and then Spurs hopefully putting the final icing on the cake of a decent gameweek by sealing Mark Hughes’ departure at 8pm.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 15 from all at FF247!

  1. I’m not convinced these wildcards are worth the hassle they cause!!! smile

    • Kop, was just thinking it would be interesting if they created a rule where an unused WC would turn into 25 bonus points on January 1. An incentive for those who have played well for the first few months and can go without it. Would also be interesting if, when you have two free transfers, an unused transfer was worth a 4 point bonus when it disappeared.

    • I think the additional January only WC in the past was a better idea.

  2. Very tempted to actually go Salah/Arnie/Martial —> Sterling/Sane/Wilson now :woot:

    • Based on current form I’d say the latter would certainly score more points, though Salah/Martial might change my mind tonight.

  3. Thought this would raise a few eyebrows. Just looked at the top scoring team.

87 points. Fair play. However, that’s with a 44-POINT HIT and a bench boost chip that gained 20!

Still a good net score considering the gameweek, I suppose, though it could have been better still if Duffy wasn’t one of the 13 they had brought in this week! In fact, that defence and goalkeeper points haul is a bit eye watering!

    • At least this Swirly is not one of those from the Middle East playing one week only team in a cash prize league. Because of them the total players are now approaching 6 million when at the start of the season they were under 5.

  4. So we are less than four weeks away from the January transfer window opening. Any big names being thrown around with any measure of credibility that are looking likely to come to the Premier league? Any big names likely to leave?
Seeing a lot of chatter on Isco, but that seems a more likely summer move as it’d surely have to be a ridiculous price for him in January…

    • Not much news yet Pancho but I need some fresh legs for my newbies team in My Rules.
So far, Arsenal and WHU are trying to get Almiron from Atlanta United and there are rumors that Spurs are in the mix.

    • I’ve heard Wilson to Chelsea rumors, definitely wouldn’t want that though, everyone would have him at that price at Chelsea…

      • Fraser will move too

      • I agree with AT, I don’t see either of them moving in January. They are sitting in a Europa league position right now! And that’s after losing 4 matches in a row before yesterday. I think they will at least see out the season and see what they can accomplish. Don’t underestimate how much Eddie Howe’s faith in Wilson is the reason that he’s hitting these heights! Both of them owe Howe a huge debt of gratitude, and I think they will at least see out the season. I’d imagine if they can get into Europe next season that would be a huge reason to stick around as well. Just my two cents…

        • English clubs dont seem to care about europa league.

          Wilson would probably be rested.

        • When you say English clubs you don’t mean Mourinho, right? 😀

        • EBC, for clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea who are used to the Champion’s League I would agree with you. But if a club like Bournemouth made it I would imagine they would make it a bit of a priority as it would be a massive competition for them to be in! I could be wrong. Only time will tell smile

    • I’ve seen Pulisic to Chelsea thrown out there. Would be a shame.

  5. Would I be better off doing a straight swap for Arnie to someone or should I do Arnie and Camarasa to Success and F Anderson? Playing a 3-5-2?

  6. Guys I’m thinking of using my wc and this is what I’ve come up with so far. Any thoughts?

    • Defence looks very light. I’d either ditch Siggy for Fraser (or downgrade Alonso to Luiz ) to upgrade at least 1 other defender.

    • Aguero, is he fit or not? Even if he’s fit, Jesus has played some minutes now, and has been decent, perhaps Kane would be better?

    • Looks good but you might want Kane instead of Kun. Of course that is the latest hype train and we’ll find out tonight is it in the right direction.

    • Looks good. Obviously need to wait on Aguero news. I think you need another defender instead of Peltier. Don’t buy the light defence if you have that. So siggy May have to be Richarlson
