Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 15
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 15. Lovely jubbly, a midweek GW under the lights. Spread across three nights this one is primed to be a cracker, albeit unusually spread across three nights. We begin on Tuesday with just the two games as Palace host Burnley before Man City find out whether they can do it on a cold, rainy Tuesday night at Stoke Burnley.
Wednesday is the busiest day with six games in total. Chelsea welcome Villa, Vardy rubs his thighs at the prospect of Watford, Jose returns to Old Trafford, Saints and Norwich have an early season six pointer, Wolves look to darken the clouds over West Ham before Everton go to Anfield wishing Big Sam was back. Or Big David. Or Big anyone.
We then conclude on Thursday with Sheffield United wondering which version of Newcastle will turn up and Arsenal fans wishing they actually had another ‘version’ as Brighton make the short trip to London.
The games in full…

73 points all out.
Happy with the score. But kind of pissed. If i hadn’t transfered in Vardy, my captain would have been Mane. Oh well. Cant complain.
You just did :chin:
Ugh another red arrow for me. Dropping in my mini league but it’s not lost yet. Could do with some chaos though
Define chaos
Any state of disorder, any confused or amorphous mixture or conglomeration.
Morning. Should I give that clown Kane one more shot vs Burnley or just get Tammy straight back (if fit) for the trip to Everton?
Or…. 8pt hit – Digne, Kane & Cantwell out – Kelly, Tammy &
Alli in.
Please help
Hey hey hey – it’s everybody’s favourite Monacan (Monegascan?)!
How’s it going Cookster? Why not just Tammy & Alli in (Who to kick out, I do not know!) for a minus 4, then wait to get Dingy Lucas out next week, thus minimising points loss. Also, I’d wait till tomorrow or later this arvo to see how Abraham’s hip is holding up (hope he doesn’t need a hip replacement at that age!). Because that little p*** with the movie star looks (ie The Kane Train – or Harold from Steptoe and Son!) is annoyingly inconsistent but ends up scoring goals when least expected (re: recent stint with Ingerland!). Maybe ask Rosco what his relationship with José is like!
I dunno Cookster – sorry I’m no help – just sprouting crap here.
My own team is going pretty well this GW (and indeed overall), after slipping last round by 7k spots, but I seem to be going in the right direction this time. Gonna do something radical myself and replace Sterlo with Alli & get Pereira (LEI) back in (who I had previously traded out for team-mate Soyuncu, for financial reasons!). Mah team is linked, so you can check it out (I’m friggin hopeless at screenshots! Takes me ages to get right!).
Hope all is going well for thee at home and work mate! Speak to you soon! :good2:
Just thinking that if Mourinho changes tactics this week to include Harold K in the attack (thinking that opposition defence is concentrating on Alli and Son), then he could score a couple of goals and in fact Tammy up at Everton might be a risk (iehis . game time & the possible Everton reaction after gettin’ slaughtered at Anfield!). Dunno, these are just thoughts Cookster! See yah!
Give this man the rights to an article on this site already!
Hey B – thanks that’s very flattering (I think ) but I’m more of a ‘Letters to the Editor’ type of bloke than an editorialist, more of a sideline reporter than an actual commentator. It’s just that I tend to get on a roll when I start talking. In the end my lack of real football knowledge would begin to show!
See you all around and hope this GW ain’t bein’ too cruel to your scores. GWs 14 & 15 are the strangest this season I think! :drinks:
“ It’s just that I tend to get on a roll when I start talking. In the end my lack of real football knowledge would begin to show!”
That’s typical commentator type in my book! Ehehe
Nah, typical bloke in the pub talk! Not the football expert, the bloke standing next to him, trying to get a laugh out of everything! But I do paint a positive picture of it! Depends on your point of view, could be ‘the annoying prick who won’t shut up’, and you all don’t realize! There I go again, taking the p*** out myself! See yah!
Cheers AJW, B & Little Red – the consensus seems to be hold and see what Kane can do vs Burnley. That was always the plan but Kane’s lack of involvement does concern me and not
owning Tammy vs that Everton side is a worry, given his ownership.
But I will follow the advice I asked for and hope for the best!
Cheers all.
Oh and AJW – I completely agree that you are a commenter rather than commentator, if that makes any sense. Not that you
couldn’t write (far from it) but I think you and the site members connect so well in your current ‘role’.
That being said, if you ever do want to give an article a go, just shout and we’d love to let you loose!
Thanks Cookie – I think you could be right. I’ve always played the sort of ‘entertainer’ in my various circles – if you were to appear on ‘This is Your Life’, I’d probably the bloke announcing all the ‘bloopers’ from your existence (and not the bloke actually interviewing you!).
Anyway, as a rough-hewn Aussie larrikin living away in the wilds of Europe, I’m still learning about football (well ‘soccer’!), but I do love it! It’s just that I don’t have the ingrained knowledge of people who’ve grown up with it, playing park football with their mates after school (well we sort of did a bit, but we had grown up on a steady diet of Rugby League, so we were just yobs having a go at it, as you do, waiting for cricket season to start!) . Dunno where all this is leading me to – perhaps too many personal details for a specialist forum!
All I can say is that I can hold my own in a discussion nowadays, but can always be caught out on some of the finer details of the game! You live and learn, don’t you? I’ve sure seen some great action over the past couple of years & I love it.
That’s it for the blurb tonight!
P.S. Do you reckon my moves announced above are gonna be alright? I was planning to do Soy-sauce>Pereira (bit sideways, but he’s better!), Sterlo>Alli (no City cover AT ALL! It’s like going to work in your underwear!) & maybe Kanté>Grealish or Pope>Hendo next week.
See you all soon – you must all be asleep :cray2: by now!
And here is me latest team lads – poke holes in it and my transfer strategies if you like!
Hi Cooks.
Burnley tends to concede against solid teams. Has conceded 4 goals each against Chelsea and City recently. Conceded 3 against Liverpool and Sheffield too. Kane is probably a decent captain choice in the coming GW, that what I feel.
Probably best to save this GW, and do Kane and KDB to Tammy and Son/Ali in next one, if Kane and KDB both flop.
Team looks strong enough for this weekend. Save FT and be in a better position to do 2 trades for free next week.
Looking to free up funds by getting in Kelly.
Who to dump for him?
A. Diop
B. Tomori
Henderson
TAA Soy Lundstram
Mane Sterling Tielemans Zaha
Vardy Jimi Tammy
Pope Cantwell Tomori Diop
Diop I think
Come on. You know the answer to this!
Tomori would get me more cash to strengthen midfield, but yeah, Diop is woefully bad.
What a legend that is Salah! The minute I (re) bring him back he immediately returns!
Fantastic!!! I got 11pts for Tomori as well!! And 9pts for Chilwell of course! Instant noodles….. ehem, returns!!
That’s really incredible! 20 pts off the bench ! Would welcome Lundstram’s 9 pts but he’s also capable of more so not sure what to want here.
Good on you DMC!
I’m on 11 for now, it’s Zed that has 20 already!
If Lundy doesn’t play, you get a 20 point boost.
Would it be madness to transfer Sterling out for Ali? I don’t have KdB but I do have Jesus (for now).
It’s not madness but it comes with the risk of Sterling getting back to life and you not having the flexibility as and when to get him back.
Yeah I wanted to let Jesus into my life but I stuck with Abraham instead! (And Jimi and Vardy, but they don’t have prophet style names!). Am envisaging dropping Sterlo myself but that leaves me with NO City whatsoever. Scary stuff I can tell you. But might get in D Silva to ease the pain. Hope you make the right choice.
Thanks both, something to consider.
