Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16. And we go again… We were promised ‘thick and fast’ in the weeks ahead, and it’s already starting to feel that way, as we have our 3rd GW begin within the space of 8 days, ‘get used to it’ is all we can offer by way of comfort.

GW16 is a tad Saturday heavy with no less than 8 games. We kick off with Bournemouth hosting Liverpool in the early one prior to five 3pm games. There are then two evening games beginning with a potential cracker as Chelsea welcome the Pep (rotation) machine at 5.30pm before Leicester take on Spurs in a rare Saturday evening treat at 7.45pm.

Sunday only has one game as a result, oddly. This one sees Newcastle play Wolves before Monday finishes us off with Everton at home to Watford.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 16 from all at FF247!

  1. Has Hernandez been given the assist for the first goal?

    • not yet mate but i imagine it should be posted on twitter in the next 10-15 minutes before they tally the BPS

    • Good decision not WCing mate, would you have gotten rid if you WCed? smile

      • I have no idea did a quick wildcard draft and did not like it. So was never intending to wildcard.

  2. Did the rookie thing………….Made my trades and forgot to set my lineup.

    • Ugh that’s nasty at least you get the Anderson points

    • Hopefully, Doherty doesn’t play again this week.

      • Or maybe he plays and scores again!

        • i can take a doherty hattrick (wishful thinking but at least a goal/assist tomorrow would be nice)

  3. Please tell me I’m not the only one who did Robertson > TAA to afford Kane and keep Mane ::’-(: ::’-(: ::’-(:

    • Thrilled with those emojis.

    • No i did the same on wc and got rid of Salah. Its called sods law and happens so many times over a season. You sell a player who hasnt been performing and the very next game he scores or in Salah’s case gets a hatty.Didnt feel comfortable going without him this week and wouldnt have wildcarded but for a couple of injuries and a couple of players with poor fixtures.Cest la vie !

      • The fact that I only did it because I wanted Mane for this weekend is what annoys me the most!

    • I done similar last week. Swapped Robertson for Gomes to afford Kane. Gomes gets injured , bring in TAA this week who gets benched.

  4. I’m suicidal. sad

    • Call me Kamikaze Raz. Short KaRaz.

      • I’m on 12 points from 4. Inlcuding cappo Aubie. Hmmm, took an 8 point hit to remove Salahl for Sterling and get Aub for Arnie…. also lost a defender but my memory doesn’t forgot to tell me which one… >.< Aaah yes…………… FUCK NO!

        • hey raz. i am in the same boat as you as i took a 8pt hit to bring in laca and sterling. 21 from 4 so far with captain laca on 2 points. the pain is mutual my friend.

if you look at comment#85. my ml rival already has 94 points from 8 players with the city players left. he thrashed me with cap salah, anderson and rashford lol.

        • Ouch, that’s a tough one. Hopefully your luck will even out over the course of the season, we’re not even halfway through yet!

        • true mckenon. in my case, its about damage limitation. i have 5 players left for sunday and money and hope to reduce the gap at the top from 24 to something like 10-15.

    • Unlucky Raz sh*t happens.Sometimes you just have to laugh it off !

      • I was sort of dumb. Made the decision days ago. Just moved into my new house. Welcome gift. Hehe. 😛

        • Well sometimes some things are more important than Fpl ! Congrats on the new house !

  5. I have the best score of 36 points in My Rules with 5 to go including captain Rich :noshake:

  6. Kind of thought jumping on Arsenal players might be a trap. With so many cheap strukers doing well and big hitters like Salah Kane and Sterling such great and consistent captain options i had a sneaky feeling Arsenal strikers might be surplus to requirements.Easy to say after the event of course and still a really nice run of fixtures for Arsenal to come !

    • I think you are absolutely right Brooky. Just one poxy goal at home against the Hudders doesn’t look good.

      • Haven’t seen the game yet but Huddersfield are a well organised team so on their day can be a tough nut to crack, so maybe not all doom and gloom for owners. That said, the result was a surprise.

    • fair point brooky. they got southampton away next. lets see how that goes. might be tough for arsenal to keep a cleanie there.

      • Gonna keep Laca for that then assess….

        • likewise. i might bring in firmino in 2 weeks time depending how he does against napoli and manu.

    • If Salahs first goal gets flagged for offsides, perhaps the Bournemouth defense stays tight and doesn’t let in the next three as well. Same could be said for Arsenal. If they had gotten their goal earlier, perhaps they would’ve finished with 4… tough to predict sometimes
