Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16. And we go again… We were promised ‘thick and fast’ in the weeks ahead, and it’s already starting to feel that way, as we have our 3rd GW begin within the space of 8 days, ‘get used to it’ is all we can offer by way of comfort.

GW16 is a tad Saturday heavy with no less than 8 games. We kick off with Bournemouth hosting Liverpool in the early one prior to five 3pm games. There are then two evening games beginning with a potential cracker as Chelsea welcome the Pep (rotation) machine at 5.30pm before Leicester take on Spurs in a rare Saturday evening treat at 7.45pm.

Sunday only has one game as a result, oddly. This one sees Newcastle play Wolves before Monday finishes us off with Everton at home to Watford.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 16 from all at FF247!

Feels good to own Salah and particularly Hazard right now. Alsonso coming off the bench is more than welcomed. Just hope for Lloris’ Cs as well. Nothing better than Kane being on the bench as a non-owner. That gives some relief after last week’s disaster.

I know the gameweek isn’t over but wondering what to do here especially as Mane and Alonso look likely to go down in price tonight. Should I do Mane and Alonso to Salah and a 4.7 def? Was thinking Mane and Hazard to Salah and Son but think I want to keep Hazard for now! Thoughts?

Just saw Kane is benched!!! :big-lol: :big-lol:

What on earth is going on? Never seen Kane actually benched, I’ve just made the worst decision of my FPL career last week :big-lol: :big-lol: :big-lol:

Weeks like this make me want to give up. Took a hit to get Kane and TAA in. Don’t own Hazard and losing huge ground in my ML. Red arrows are heading this way

If its any consolation a lot of people have done similar moves.I’m 40 points down on my wc team compared to my old team but my team is well set up for next week at least.Oh and i know of at least 2 former fpl winners that took out Salah this week which makes me feel a bit better !

No point getting overly depressed over one bad GW SAF’s. Bit like Brooky I’m on a WC here and took Salah out but I’m not particularly bothered, much in the same way I don’t get overly excited if I have a great week. One can always be quickly followed by the other. Just keep at it and be consistent, you’ve played long enough to know that.

      • Zed Leppelin says:

I get your point but that is exactly why I am depressed… Already had 3 horrendous GWs in a row and was waiting for this GW to finally turn the tide, one has not quickly followed by the other in my case, it just gets worse… If I made no transfers this week then the good week would have quickly come after three disastrous weeks, but I made the changes and shit hit the fan… That’s not being consistent, that’s jumping from a sinking rock to another… I need 3 good GWs to quickly come now… Season defining moments right here mate!

        • eresh12 says:

you will have more season defining moments zed. onto the next one. i am visibly upset myself with my rival’s haul but i calmed down, assessed the situation, play the chasing game and wait for my opponent to make the wrong moves.

      • Kralin says:

I always try to see the funny side when things go wrong. I’ve been advising people to captain Salah, didn’t do so myself, captained Lacazette…I also benched Alonso…but everyone has a tale of woe each week about the ones who got away on the bench. It does balance itself out. The Man City mids will bring in a lot of points.

It’s good to be level headed but no so easy. I was up around 30k a few weeks ago now slipped back to 200k. Last week I had Sterling and Arnie and I thought that was annoying! Oh well

      • billisBob says:

Something to remember is that the game has exploded in popularity recently. I believe there’s over 6mil teams so far this season – only a few years ago it was only 2 mil players. If we use those numbers, then persentage wise, a drop in 150k this season is the same as 50k a few years ago. Likewise, for a top 10% finish would mean you need a rank of 600k this season, wereas before, for a top 10% finish you’d need to be in the top 200k. Persepctive is key!!

I really hope Harry, of house Kane, comes off the bench. Paws crossed!

This FPL season is one step forward and two back.

Still, I’ve just had my first Christmas dinner of the season and there’s a chance Kane and Eriksen will come on yet.

    Evening all.
