Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16. Last week the author of this short article waxed lyrical about the return of ‘The Lord’ and Big Sam. Unfortunately we have no returning greats this week but we doubt you could top those two numpties anyway.

Chelsea, yet again, kick off our game-week at lunchtime on Saturday as they visit a West Ham side who have not been revitalised by their new manager. Hardly surprising as it is David Moyes.

3pm on Saturday afternoon brings us five more games. None of which are likely to set pulses racing. Marco ‘you’re not as good as Big Sam’ Silva brings his Watford side to Burnley. Crystal Palace who are unbeaten in their last four at home welcome Bournemouth. Newbies Huddersfield & Brighton face each other at the John Smiths Stadium. Spurs face Stoke as Harry Kane battles to save his FPL career. And a team who recently sacked Tony Pulis face a team who will soon appoint Tony Pulis as Swansea host West Brom.

Saturday draws to a conclusion as a Newcastle team in freefall welcome Leicester City.

For once, Sunday actually is a Super Sunday! At lunchtime Arsenal travel down to Southampton for a game that is nothing but an appetiser for what’s to come. At 2:15pm Liverpool and Everton meet for the 229th time. Recent history certainly favours the red side of Merseyside but Big Sam is likely to have his side fired up for the encounter. The main course arrives at 4:30pm in the shape of the Manchester derby as 2nd hosts 1st. Let’s hope this is more like last week’s game between United and Arsenal rather than the recent Liverpool v United game. Whatever the outcome Jose will surely have something to moan about.

  1. Several matches have been postponed in Holland. Can we expect the same for England? Upcoming days?

    • I wouldn’t say so in the PL because most grounds have underground heating but the lower leagues could see some games postponed I know the Bury game was postponed in League One , Swindon game in League Two and then a shit load down in the non-league.

      • The snow is bad here and from what i understand it will be heading towards you guys later. laugh

        • Okay then. Well looks like we could have a few DGWs in the future then 😉

      • Matt its not the grounds that make the game off. Its the safety of the travelling fans that comes into question.

        • Oh I thought it was the refs decision on whether the match was cancelled. My bad.

        • That is true Matt, but as you say the grounds are perfect all year these days.

        • Elle is right. Most of the pitches are playable all year round but you can’t have thousands of people heading to a ground where trains are cancelled and coaches are sliding off the road etc. Police make a call on such things and the referee has to abide by it.

        • I’d be happy either way FPL wise but it would make these Christmas holidays well boring if there is feck all footie on the box.

  6. Best replacement for Daniels 4.9m other def Che , two Wat , Lei was considering Lindelöf but not starting now so need some suggestions 😉
