Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17. This is our last ‘normal gameweek’ for a while; one that is separated by about a week anyway, without other ones following on in quick succession. The 4 gameweeks which follow this will be condensed into 14 days. And you thought rotation was bad last week?! This one may be more normal, or so you’d think…
We begin with Man City looking to respond to a rare defeat at home to Everton at lunchtime on Saturday. This is followed by five 3pm games; Palace look for a rare home win against Leicester, Huddersfield vs Newcastle promises to be a thriller *sighs, Spurs will be hoping Burnley haven’t quite found the eye of the tiger just yet, whilst Watford and Wolves will both be hoping to return to their early season form against Cardiff and Bournemouth.
Fulham will look to bounce back after their embarrassing Old Trafford mauling against a resurgent West Ham in the Saturday evening game.
Sunday begins with two games at 1.30pm with Brighton hosting Chelsea and Saints welcoming Arsenal before our gameweek ends at 4pm with Liverpool’s annual Cup Final that is Man United.

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

Thx for your reply’s earlier ref adding a colleague back into our ML. (He accidentally dropped out our league today)
So I’ve found the original league code that we all joined up with and this is what’s happened (see below ) …it says “Braders fc wil be added to league after this gwk.”
So will he be restored to his previous position (2nd) with his existing points or will he have to start from zero plus this weeks point?
Notice our league is missing 2nd place which is where he was ?
I think if you look in the admin part under scoring it will tell you what gameweek scoring starts from. If I’m correct then it will be however many points he has from that particular week!
He’ll go straight back in with the points he had plus this week’s. So basically it’ll be as if he never left.

So what are people’s thoughts on Kane? If he can’t score against Burnley is there any hope? Looking at transfers and can do this for free? Richarlison and Kane our. I’ll not be going early just wondered what people’s thoughts were?
Richardson has 8 good matchups after the next one…why so hasty?

It’s nothing against Richarlison but I don’t want to shift the City boys so he’s the only way I could afford it. Any better suggestions? Just shooting the breeze at the minute no immediate plans!
hi rosco. my initial plan was to bring salah back after the manu game by either downgrading laca/kane and most likely doing sane/sterling to salah.
Eresh – I think is Laca’s game time is in question, then thats easier in one sense

Congrats on the win today Roscoe.I think we could still be playing now and still wouldnt have managed to put the ball in the net.Lots of possession, no end product which is the story of our season really.We are desperate for some fire power up front !

To be honest i’ve never seen a team show so little attacking intent and us show so much attacking threat and not get anything out of the game ! If we had had a Rondon up front today we would have probably won 3-1 !
Not sure mate. Prob would want to watch motd before I’d have a view. Richarlison is usually in the thick of things too so losing a lot. Prob have to have Salah though given recent weeks. At a loss myself how to do that.
Think I want rid of Kane. Think that will be my transfer this week. Problem you have is I’d prefer to swap Fraser to Richarlson so not sure how to do it
Rid of Kane to who – Kun, presumably; maybe Auba?
In the three weeks I’ve had Kane I’ve captained him twice and he’s delivered 36 points: not bad. And his fixtures are fine. I suppose Auba and Kun offer better value and for money to be shifted elsewhere.
But you’re in wildcard territory I think, so can plan slightly differently.
For Salah or Hazard, mate, you don’t have to think of it being a forward for a forward, think of it as in Kane and Richarlison or Salah and Chica…. Like for like here is Kane or Salah, moneywise, points wise, etc…
Can you remove my curse? Ha, I’m thinking kane and lacazette out, Pierre and Aguero in thoughts?
I think I’d need to know Kun was 100% up and running before making a move. My main priority now is to ensure everyone’s playing – that the bench is fully operational.
At the moment – and a week is a long time in fantasy football – I’m thinking of sticking with Kane over December (and possibly beyond, given their fixtures). Main reason is his (usual) nailedness. Possibly (my) laziness as well. I don’t want to be tinkering too much. More seriously, he’s not let me down so far.
I’m sure the curse is lifted. We have to be careful with that sort of thing. Curses and suchlike. I was threatened with the wicker man once when I suggested to someone they switch to a 3/5/2 formation.
You think I should stick with kane for now?, I could possibly put a attacking city midfielder in?

It’s very likely that Kun will play but one thing is for sure that KDB will start. That’s what Pep stated.

Would you rather Kane/Richarlison to Chica/Salah or Kane/Deulofeu to Chica/Hazard? Chelsea fixtures are so much better than Pool’s in the next 5…

Well I just lost a Salah hatty because of having Kane, so having Kane has been very lovely for the last two weeks… I have 2FTs, Salah has an easy fixture next, Kane is Kane…. Place your bets and let’s rock’n’roll!

I’m keeping, I think. He blanked once as my captain (vs Cardiff) and he almost blanked twice today. But he didn’t and he scored and assisted two weeks back or so. I think Pancho has this right in terms of it being more a team thing than on him. But with CL out now you’d expect them to revert to normal , that being Erik, Alli and Son backing Kane, with the odd rest/early sub for any of those mids (but not Kane) during the festive period. Granted it’s a tough one next week but he tends to at least score one in such games and that would do it for me. I did bought him on a WC this GW so I may be a litttle biased in terms of ‘believing too much’, but that’s where I am right now. If Salah hits a brace tomorrow this could change.
Whats the story with Vertonghen lads? Thought he was a smart buy but he seems injured. He isn’t flagged on fpl but has unknown return date on premier league injuries

Ok after weighing up everyone’s comments over Richarlison could do this for a -4, would leave me with a canny midfield, not sure I want to lose Alonso though!
