Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17. Liverpool’s relentless march towards the title sees them kick us off Saturday lunchtime against bottom dwellers Watford, this one could get ugly. We then have four 3pm games with Burnley 0-0 Newcastle, Chelsea hoping to get back on track against Bournemouth, Leicester chasing Canaries and Wilder’s Blades hoping to blunt Smith’s Villains. No need for sleeping pills on Saturday evening as the Saints host West Ham, whoopee!
Sunday promises to be much more interesting and we begin with Big Dunc taking his kilt and bayonet to see Little Ole. Wolves and Spurs is the other early game before Arsenal host Pep at 4.30pm.
We close out on Monday evening with the oddest of odd derbies as Palace ‘welcome’ Brighton.

On the pl rules page:
When can I play a wildcard? The Wildcard chip can be used twice a season, once in the first half of the season (before Sat 28 Dec 03:30) and once in the second half of the season. Wildcards are played on the transfers page but aren’t active until you have confirmed the transfers.

To reply to your second question: I’m tempted to transfer Salah out (and maybe TAA) for someone for GW18 then WC him back in and tidy up any niggling issues (Tielemans & Mount) for GW19.
GW18’s fixtures are too close to call and many of us have several players from several decent teams – who are all playing each other :blink: . It’ll be a tricky GW!

I will use 2FTs to remove Mane (and maybe TAA although there’s no defender I like for next week so might just leave him in and get someone in for Tielemans instead) and then WC GW19…. Don’t mind Salah/Mane for Leicester as they showed today they aren’t that good defensively, I can see that being a high-scoring game rather than a low-scoring one, although one never knows…

Smash, GW19 is the last time you can use it. It expires at the deadline for GW20. I saw Eresh suggest it was available in 20 so thought I’d best interject as I wouldn’t want you being under the wrong impression.

I don’t think so, unless I’m misreading the rules. Says 3.30 on the pics above but that’s only a time zone thing, it states 11.30am on the 28th as being when it expires on our page view over here.

To clarify, Kop, you can use it IN 19, so ergo ‘ahead’ of 20, depends what you mean yourself though!

Yeah my gut was it’s one week early maybe two weeks early. Thinking either Sterling or Alli in for Mane. It’s difficult to fit Salah and Mane in but yeah it’s possible if KDB goes. Do I want to go without City assets I’m not sure.
