    Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17. Liverpool’s relentless march towards the title sees them kick us off Saturday lunchtime against bottom dwellers Watford, this one could get ugly. We then have four 3pm games with Burnley 0-0 Newcastle, Chelsea hoping to get back on track against Bournemouth, Leicester chasing Canaries and Wilder’s Blades hoping to blunt Smith’s Villains. No need for sleeping pills on Saturday evening as the Saints host West Ham, whoopee!

    Sunday promises to be much more interesting and we begin with Big Dunc taking his kilt and bayonet to see Little Ole. Wolves and Spurs is the other early game before Arsenal host Pep at 4.30pm.

    We close out on Monday evening with the oddest of odd derbies as Palace ‘welcome’ Brighton.

  1. Wonder if Jimenez to Tammy was a bad move now. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

    • Yep I made that error

      • I was too drawn in by that bournemouth fixture and regret it now. Hopefully
        spurs keep him quiet.

        • Well yeah I even got Pulisic in for that fixture so even worse for me.

  2. Hi people …hope having a better game week than me!
    Been planning bgw18 for few weeks now and I’m now way more confused than I was when started!
    Got £1.8itb and 2ft. Im gonna make this well over complicated and confusing as hell but hoping that planning ahead can give me a well needed advantage in my ml’s! ….So, what do you think of these moves?:

    1 – Ings to Jimenez….decent captain pick for gw18 with Norwich away, then keep Jimenez till gw 24 then swap back to Ings. Will lose 0.2 on Ings and will only leave me 0.3-0.5 to upgrade Traore or Gazziniga

    2 – keep Ings(Gw18 avl) and do Traore to Moura(Gw18 CHE). Leaves 0itb and would have to drop Gazziniga to either Krul or Heaton but Spurs showing bit of form and has BHA/nor/sou during Ings tricky fixtures.

    3 – keep Ings and do Traore to Grealish(gw18 SOU)
    Leaves 0.9itb, this can be used to do Gazzaniga to Patricio in few weeks who is the only keeper that can cover all Ryan’s tough matches between gw30-36. Grealish’s next 3 are SOU/NOR/wat and he covers most of Ings tough fixtures bar 2 till end of season.

    4 – keep Ings and do Traore to Mount(gw18 tot). Not too keen on this 1 atm tbh …good player and team and maybe better long term, but not great form or fixtures and only leaves 0.4itb which doesn’t really allow improvement elsewhere in my team.

    5 – anything else?

    If you’ve had a Saturday night drink, that’s probably messed your head up but if it hasn’t frazzled your brain, would well appreciate your opinions

    • 1 or 3 for me Kev. I’d rather have Jimenez over Ings but 3 seems to offer a bit more flexibility or room for manoeuvre.

      • Cheers Smash and Init! I’m stuck between 1 & 3 myself!
        Presuming price changes allow me to do 1 for gw18 and then revert to 3, who would you rather play gw18 ….Jimenez & Traore(nor) or Ings(avl) & Grealish(SOU)? Kinda feel like 1 gives me 1 really good chance of points while 3 gives me 2 fairly good chances!? :scratch_one-s_head:

        • I think you’ve answered your own question there! Grealish is beginning to feel like someone I dread not owning. Got lucky today in that respect but case in point really as he could have had 10 points easily enough.

  3. Should I play my WC? I really want to Alli/Son and could I feel my team could do with a tweaking.

    • I’d seriously consider it. You could just about negotiate this week without but with time running out in it anyway I think you may as well.

  4. Hi All, this is my second team, it is doing well, much better than my first, unfortunately it is not in my mini league.
    I have 2FT 0.1ITB. I do not want to loose anyone, if I loose Mane or Trent I would loose a lot of money, same with Soy. Even keepers are doing fine, pity I had Ramsdale on bench today sad Has anyone been in this situation before?
    Any suggestions that I can’t see!

    • Pointless worrying about losing a bit of money – can’t imaging TAA would lose you more than 0.2m anyway! If you really don’t want to lose any of your current players and are doing well then don’t make any transfers – they aren’t compulsory. Simples!

    • Not a lot you can do there really.

      • Thanks to both, it is 0.2 if I loose TAA. I cant’t see any defender with nice fixture for next 5-6 weeks that may rise in price and score lots of points.

  5. We have some tricky matches with top teams. Why not wait one week and use WC in gw 19?
    Don’t know how much mib you have or ft, so hard to comment on transfer this week.

  6. On 32 points. A bad GW after many good ones. Red arrow. But still have Kane, Son, Gazza, Zaha, KDB and Kelly to come. A Kane brace could save me. Hope today could be a good day. :good:

    • Plenty more points incoming for ya Const. Just Alli & rash for me tomorrow.

    • How’s that a bad GW when you have more than half your team to go?! Stop being so melodramatic.

      • Haha. Not having Salah is itself a bad GW. Half of my rivals had him captained.
