Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17. The matches are coming thick and fast and provide a great opportunity to continue the momentum of a decent previous game-week or alternatively a chance to recover from a shocker. In whichever camp you find yourself, it’s time to go again and we kick off GW17 with three matches this evening. Burnley get the chance to add to their clean sheet collection as they host Stoke, Watford look to bounce back from last weekend’s loss as they go to Palace while Chelsea have the chance to upset many gambler’s accumulators again as they go to Huddersfield.

The majority of matches take place on Wednesday. Big Sam’s bus tour takes him and the Toffees to Newcastle, Southampton host Leicester, leaders and likely Champions Man City go to Swansea, Klopp vs Pardew takes place at Anfield with the Baggies the visitors, Man Utd welcome Bournemouth to Old Trafford, Brighton travel to Wembley to try and stop Kane and co and West Ham host a second London derby in a week with Arsenal the guests.

  1. I am having much luck with defensive transfers lately.
    I had Otamendi and sold him for Jones who got injured before he got a chance to play.
    So I sold him for Moreno and he got injured before he got a chance to play
    So I thought I would be smart and as Burnley were bound to get a clean sheet a four point hit become an extra free transfer.
    So I sold Moreno for Ward who got bloody injured before playing the sixty minutes.

      Loads of people always create teams when there’s midweek matches where three are usually on the Tuesday to grab their fifteen minutes of fame.

      Take a look at his overall rank! Nobody. Didnt even captain the right guy! 😉

    • You are missing the point. These guys are playing a different game, possibly with friends/money involved where possibly the biggest points in that gw or even gameday wins it.

  4. This double Chelsea defence is killing me recently. Last nights late conceded goal was particularly hard to take though. Sigh!

        • I’m going ok I think had a really bad start and have recovered a bit. Have got captain choice wrong a lot and have been hit by injuries recently

    • I’m with you Milburn, only I’ll go one worse. Not only did I have double Chelsea at the back, I had a predicted scoreline of 3-0 in B&P’s comp! smile

  5. Thoughts on the team? 2FTs and 0.3 in the bank. Gambling on double Chelsea attacking hasn’t really paid off to looking to offload Morata. Also not enamoured by Davis, Bruno, Elliot and Monreal (in that order) moving into the Xmas period.

    Thoughts on the order in which to ship the out and potential replacements? Not adverse to a -4 hit.

    • Lionel, I would hold on Monreal for sure. Central defenders are always more likely than fullbacks to play every game through the festive period.

    • Lionel, you sure you want to dump your Chelsea players. They have a pretty good run of fixtures coming up.

      Love the use of ‘enamoured’ in that comment.

      Would hold on Chelsea till Jan unless you need to release funds. Would also hold Monreal, and Elliot doesn’t really need to go with Pope there. I personally would look at shifting Gross and Davis – how much will this give you to spend?

      • 11.2 if I got rid of both. Demarai Gray and then 5.9 for a second guy…?

    • @Lionel, How about Morata to Vardy if he does ok tonight and then you could Lindelof to Otamendi and Grob to Son, maybe? Think you would have enough. I know that doesn’t fix some of the problems, but I think that strengthens your side short term. Then you could slowly start on Williams, Bruno and Davis over the coming GWs.
