Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18. The silly season officially begins here. We have no less than 40 games spanning the next 14 days taking in 4 GW’s in total. We can but recommend you stick close to both our Fixture Tracker and our on-site Countdown Timer to keep track of when each GW begins, but as a helpful little ditty to perhaps take a ‘snap of’, the deadlines are as follows (all times are GMT) –

GW18 Friday 21st December 7PM
GW19 Wednesday 26th December 11.30AM
GW20 Saturday 29th December 3PM
GW21 Tuesday 1st January 11.30AM

As for this GW we begin on Friday and end on Sunday with the majority of the games on Saturday for a pleasant change. Wolves and Liverpool kick us off this evening as the current league leaders look to put the pressure on their chasers by extending their overnight lead to 4 points over Man City.

Saturday begins with many an FPL manager sweating over the Arsenal line-up as they play host to an ever increasingly tight Burnley side. Six 3PM kick-offs follow with Bournemouth and Brighton both looking to regain some sort of form, Chelsea hoping to continue their own pursuit against Leicester, Huddersfield look to stop the new beer flowing against the Saints, Man City probably playing catch up against Palace, Newcastle hoping Mitro doesn’t come back to haunt them and West Ham look for 5 wins in a row for who knows how long as they host Watford.

Saturday evening could be intriguing as Cardiff look to take 3 points off fellow strugglers Man United.

Our only game on a barren Sunday is Everton vs Spurs. Harry Kane may not know it but this could be his final rehearsal for many FPL managers, especially if Kun shows up on Saturday.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 18 from all at FF247!

    Mitro says:

    Morning

    Which do you prefer:

    A. Laca & wilson to PEA & Ings
    B. Laca & wilson to kun & Ings
    C. Laca and Torreria to Ings & pogba

Or I do scrap the above and just to do what it takes to get in salah?

If Kane does something today then it will soften the blow but I am out of the cup unless Kane gets a hat trick.

Rather then hitting the panic button I am would about TAA.

But Klopp says he will be back soon. So keeping him till my next FT in game week 20 is wise?

As almost all of us have Anderson I was wondering are we happy with him. The guy blows hot and cold and maybe is time to think for alternatives. Next is away to Southampton who are starting to look a better team since the arrival of the new manager.

    Smash says:

What are the chances of Lingard, Pogba and Rashford going up 0.2? They are United players after all

    Time for Laporte to go.
    Ain’t worth his value
    Who’s best replacement?
    Have Robertson awb Doherty Balbuena

TAA. But wait for his (TAA’s) price to drop, hopefully tonight.

Digne, Everton have a nice run of fixtures and he has a share of set pieces.

      • gkw says:

But Everton have kept only 4 CSs (compared with Liverpool’s 11). And three of those four were easy home matches. The only easy home match they have left is Burnley, in May.

      DMC says:

I’d buy someone in the same price bracket (Virgil?) to keep the flexibility for Mendy when the time comes. I know it’s tooo far away but you get Virgil’s points in the process and don’t have to deal with possible hits do then do such move.

      • gkw says:

I agree with your underlying thinking, DMC, but would expect TAA to get more attacking points than VVD.

        • DMC says:

Quite possible, if he was to play the same minutes, which he isn’t. Also, it’s not really about TTA vs VVD; it’s more about team estructure. That is something I’m prioritizing more each year, instead of moving premium spots for the cheap-ish flavour of the month etc. I have a spot for the 5.0 defender and that’s Doherty’s for the moment and I’ll resist moving from that estructure of two premium defenders. Just a thought though.

        • gkw says:

Given Gomez’s injury, there seems a fair chance of TAA playing all the matches at least till late January. In that case, and assuming his injury doesn’t linger, he could be considered a 6m defender who’s underpriced. But yes I agree with you that VVD’s a safer bet.

    Cimon says:

I noticed lingard took a penalty. Is he the penalty taker now? I’m finding it hard to decide between pogba martial and lingard who to bring in. I didn’t watch the match so have no eye test to go on.
